Also, the two episode arcs in general are much funnier. I enjoyed this one a lot, it makes me sad that the series is almost over :( |

| I enjoyed having another martial arts tournament after what felt like forever. I wonder if they're going anywhere with the public reveal, creating lasting consequences, or if they are going to hit a reset button. I've kinda given up on Ranma 1/2 having an actual ending, maybe I'm wrong. |

| T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E. as remembered. Kuno is what he is, but didn't deserve all of these torture porn humiliations. And didn't recall that everyone in the gym discovered Ranma's secret identity... except for him. On the plus side... Kasumi recognizes Kuno as charming. Best character for even more good reasons. And... is the referee the same one from the martial arts gymnastics match earlier in the series between Kodachi and girl Ranma? Whatever, i had good memories from the following beach episode (even if here in myanimelist is counted as the 154), it can't turn out as bad as these two in what still is a historical and for the most part very funny anime |

| This match was ridiculous. But it's been a long time since "pig-tailed girl" had this much attention in an episode. Literally. This arc reminded me of the 3-episode long skating arc from back in season 1 and also Kodachi vs Ranma gymnastics arc from season 2 I believe. It was established in the latter that the pigtailed girl's real name was Ranma but I guess it happened so long ago everyone completely forgot about it. Genma just casually revealed Ranma's secret as if it was nothing. But of course, the whole school saw it except for Kuno. He heard in the Kodachi arc that "her" name was Ranma (and also used Sasuke to spy on them a lot) yet he still didn't put 2 and 2 together. This was a nice little arc. Wish Ranma and Akane would confess to each other already. |
| Ranma got exposed casually in front of the whole students fr. Don't really understand what are the rules of the game given how ridiculous it is. I always prefer female Ranma more on screen no matter how shallow it is portrayed. The ending is quite sweet with Ranma stoned once he accidentally confessed but it takes so damn long to get there. |

| A damn fun finale to this arc, there may have been absolutely no rules to this cheerleading competition whatsoever but it really brought me back to the early arcs of the series, didn’t realize how much I missed that stuff till now, I guess the remake has also done that for me since it’s currently adapting the ice skating competition at the time I’m typing this. There were a few downsides to this battle tho, the first one being that Akane is suddenly good at kendo and just waxed all of Furinkan’s students and even went toe to toe with Kuno, does this mean Kuno isn’t even good at his own sport or Akane is built different? Idk just seemed kinda odd to me. The other big thing was Genma casually revealing to everyone that the pigtailed girl is in fact the same Ranma they all know, this had me surprised at first but then I realized that they revealed this to everyone besides the one that actually mattered, being Kuno, so really it put a bad taste in my mouth more than anything, it made me realize there are probably gonna be no significant reveals as we near the end of the show, a shame but it is what it is. But all that aside, I really enjoyed the competition and Mariko as a villain, she stayed into Kuno to the end, even puppeteering his unconscious body to win lol, but poor Kuno man, kept running to Akane and Ranma despite the beautiful babe that actually loves him, he seemed extra dumbed down here honestly lol, but oh well, I enjoyed Mariko at least, she was probably one of my favorite one-off villains of the series, and Akane and Ranma had a great moment at the end too. |
