That should at least be brought to a close before you end a season; at least in my opinion. Agreed. Why leave a highly anticipated reunion hanging so poorly? Because it ends on a cliffhanger in the source material as well. Yes, in both case it's frustrating. The difference in the length of the break though. Anyway, I was just trying to find where in the LN the anime stopped but based on the info that I found, the story in the LN is arranged differently and I read that the manga is quite poor. -_- The anime is ahead of the manga... Oh well. |

You can read LN6 if you want, but the anime skips a few parts that could be important. Personnally, I begun the LN with LN5 and following, before reading those I didn't read. |

This show is so enjoyable, made even better with Aoi Yuuki and while I didn't hate it as much it is a shame the studio that had to do its adaptation. I would love a second season by other studio or at the very least or if it becomes this studio's tensura. |

alright alright that explains why she was working with the demon lord as the white woman. doesn't explain at all why she looked like a zombie (eyes closed, no speaking) for almost the whole season though nice seeing how the two vampires and two spiders came together. it was important info that had previously been missing hero kid is dumb. his half elf servant is dumber, trying to save him when they already said they aren't going to kill any reincarnates...derp. but regardless, i guess when anyone hits taboo level 10 they are enlightened and shown the true nature of the world and it's future? NO WONDER teacher elf told all of her students not to level up!!! is teacher elf bad?!?! or is she just brainwashed by her dad like apparently all of the elves? he started a religion where people give away their skills in order to control the population and prevent people from achieving level 10 taboo and being shown the truth doesn't quite explain why that one jesus freak church girl was so anti-taboo. probably just because religion is stupid af elf dude is a robot clone, sort of. elf dude defintely looks like the bad guy now. and idk how it happened so quickly, but now the demons are the "good guys". weird don't really get how she transplanted herself into one of those baby spiders. don't get how, even after doing that and her old body dying, she was able to keep all of her stats and still level up into a humanoid spider so body brain is lost and gone forever? that kinda sucks. only 3 brains left? or does she only have 2? or just 1 now? and why can't she make more eggs? i feel like i had some other questions/comments, but oh well EDIT: spider girl's personality is NOTHING like her personality in japan. wish they would've showed this side of her in japan so that it would seem more authentic i'm just talking aloud to myself. no need for anyone to reply to me. and definitely: NO SPOILERS ================= i think this is probably a 7.5/10, so it's MAL rating is spot-on. but i really did enjoy it for the most part (certainly dislike some things and characters - cough the hero cough). and it was better than the two best MHA seasons, which i rated 7/10. so i think i have to give it an 8/10. i think |

These last 3 or 4 episodes just felt so fucking awkward,, overall I loved it, but wish it felt more integrated for the last couple of episodes, for some odd reason it felt like so many sound effects were missing lolz and kek. |

what can I say? it was my favorite anime so far this year. I really look forward to a second season. Although the animation has disgusted me, I really enjoyed it. I'm going to read the light novels to catch up. I'm going to miss you kumo chan. now I have nothing to see on Fridays ...;) |

I imagined Shiro's eyes to look quite different from what we got. Ariel: "Body-in-charge mixed with me." As you can see, there are 2 Kumoko now! -- With that out of the way.. The episode itself is fine but as the conclusion to the season, it still didn't work on putting the scattered puzzle pieces together (and likely left people in confusion). With that said, this episode drew the viewers attention away from everything that happened so far (aka stop shoving our heads up Shun's ass) and towards world building. Although I'm very hesitant to say this, I expect great things from a season 2 despite rating this season 3/10. |

Seems like most of my questions have been answered in this last episode. Shun being a righteous jackass again with his band of goons at the beginning then we see Wakaba/Kumiko show up who has been around since the beginning of conflict so she knows what's up. Love how Wrath is just brushing Shun off like 'you don't even know what you're fighting for". Sensei got some serious explaining to do, no wonder the other reincarnations hate her. Love that Kumiko and Aerial became allies haha. I dispised the human parts of this season but guess I wouldn't care anymore if there's a 2nd season since kumiko/Wakaba would be a part of a group now. |

Unfortunately this is the closest thing you can get to an ending in this story... and that's because the anime skipped the epilogue of volume 5. Were the Parallel Minds, now each one in a indipendent body thanks to Egg Laying say "Ok girls, it's time to start with our next plan.... The total extermination of the human race" In the novel most volumes end with the introduction of the main problem or conflict of the next volume. - Volume 1: Ends with the first view to the Middle Stratum (the lava area). - Volume 2: Ends with a mysterious girl (who we later know that is D) talking about how fun is to watch Kumoko and her reaction to her gift (Wisdom) and Julius dead. - Volume 3: Have Kumoko being attacked by a horde of Taratects which introduce Kumoko's war with Mother. This was moved to Episode 13 and Shun needing to run away from his kingdom. - Volume 4: Ends with Kumoko meeting Sophia for the first time and Shun & Co discovering that Potimas is still alive. |

Can't believe we had to wait for the last episode to get like 99% of the story. Finally, Kumoko reached her human form, even tho it's not full, yet ahaha but she's pretty cute man. So now we finally understand why Kumoko "joined" the DL, but it seems more like she's in charge now. All of her tricks and Parallel minds changed DL, when she appeared i was like "LoveLive Ariel?" haha And now all of those fights make sense, but one thing still misses, is why they can't simply explain to them the whole situation? It's not like DL knows that the reincarnated people are aware that Potimas is a real threat lol, if they knew they would even join them. Again conflicts aren't solved because people simply don't talk, but this was expected but i do expect that to happen somewhat in the future. The thing that kinda made me sad is that Kumoko looks now so evil and demonic, compared to the Kumoko we know (i don't doubt that in her mind she's still the same) but her aura feels completely different. I do hope we get a 2S, this was such a great run (besides these past few episodes), i do hope we can get the next season with a better CGI (at least that, please). It was a great run, definitely one of the most unique and fun animes i have seen. Even tho the last episodes weren't that great, this episode definitely redeemed for all of that xD 9/10 |

Wow, what a journey it has been. From the theories to the revelations to the (very valid) complaints about shitty animation and cgi parts, we have seen it all. I will just say that even after all these pacing and cuts and animation problems, the show's rating is proof of how much of a good solid story this is. I have not read the LNs but have read enough spoilers, and it seems like it's gonna get better and better. |

You can get a short glimpse when she kills Julius too. She doesn't like how her eyes look, and she can see without them, so she keeps them closed. As for speaking, she's incredibly introverted and socially anxious. She has trouble speaking to others, but holds conversations with herself trying to psych herself up to speak. Look when she actually talked to Gülie - 90% was her talking to herself, then a couple short words spoken awkwardly. One of the things about Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka? is that the characters in it are each fully fleshed out with real personalities, flaws and (usually) character growth. There is no perfect character, no Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Everyone has a reason for doing what they do, and everyone is biased in their perception. |

After the earlier delay I thought this would take far longer to arrive. This is more like a beginning than an ending. Hopefully they'll continue the story to fill in more of the blanks between the two timelines featured here (and maybe leave Shun's side of the story at a better end point than mid-battle)... ideally with more consistent production quality. |

Arachne Kumo vs. T-800 Potimas. Enjoyed this fight so much, made me laugh so much (in a good way). Watched it 3 or 4 times in the morning, then watched it twice again before making this post (lol). When Kumo arrived and bgm started playing, knew things are gonna get trashed! But then Kumo found herself in desperate battle with T-800 Potimas. The fear in the face of the spider made me laugh, and when Potimas is saying "I will end you here" - it made me laugh so much again. ahaha.. damn you Kumo-chan... I had already blown July anime budget on Love Live Superstar and Shadows House... but now you want me to spend more!! Ok you got it... I'm gonna buy a kumo cd or some other item from your anime, just because of this episode. score is 4/10 - because of all the Yuusha desu ga that I was forced to watch. But 4/10 is improved to a generous 8/10 by Kumo action of this episode alone. :) |

Hundredlives said: I did not spoil anything. Everything is in these last two episodes. Yes you must infer a bit of it but all is there. You can see Potimas exiting a cryogenic chamber of sorts after his robot avatar is destroyed, we know that elves live longer than humans but not by much because we are told so. We also know that Potimas is the big bad guy because he kidnaps children kills innocent and starts random wars also Ariel tells us this and Kumoko says is true after inheriting the taboo information. Btw that is what happened to Shu when he felt sick. About his quest for a longer widespan is my own assumption based on what I could see. We also can infer that elves are modified humans. That is because you have no elf civilisation as in other stories, even a destroyed one. And they are maybe like 50-100 elves in total and all in one location under Potimas. So is not a spoiler nightcrawlercyp said: A redeeming episode after the last 3 garbage ones this the one that saved the series for me KANLen09 said: Well after that whole production scrap job that took a week's worth of delay, we finally get the ending for this show's production hell. Kumoko finding herself from cradle to life...and then evolving into her arachne form, which looks nice. As for the human side, Shun is steadily on the losing end against Sophia and the rest of the Demon Lords, and it doesn't get any better. Sophia's backstory as the vampire baby which got targeted by the elves (with Potimas in control), in protection by Merazophis...and indeed Kumoko came to save her. But a half-human, half-cyborg Terminator-like Potimas? Well that hits different, and is easily outdone. Of course, how would you end Isekai Spider without Ariel in the picture. It's weird to see Ariel and Kumoko come together, but I've gotta admit that is the meeting of 2 different gods. Finally this show is over...and depending on the results, you could say that this show landed the ending quite amicably. A good show that's only brought down by the production values. You do realize the human side is just in the future and the big baddy is Potimas , right? About Potimas he is a modified human into what one could call an elf but even as an elf his lifespan is very short compared to demons are other similar creatures thus in his quest for immortality he spends most time in suspended animation while controlling robots remotely. So he is not half human cyborg, he is modified human that controls remotely robots that pose as him. As a note the 'cyborgs' in terminator should not have been called cyborgs but robots. A cyborg is a biological organism with robotic enhancements. But they are robots with some biological components. When does one move from cyborg too robot is debatable but my vote would be when both brain and heart is replaced by mechanical parts Gee thanks for spoiling future events ffs I hope you get banned Sharpedon said: The end of the season (show?) was much better than I expected. Too many questions were left unanswered though, so I hope we get a second season - if possible from another studio. For instance : 1)Is the current status quo between Kumoko and Ariel the same as it was 14 - 15 years ago? Who's the actual boss in the present time and who's stronger? And does it really matter if one of them is pure Kumoko and the other is ~50% Kumoko and ~50% Ariel? I found interesting that Sophia called Kumoko "Master", but (as far as I recall) not Ariel. Assuming both of them are equal bosses / Masters would it really work? There is a saying that you cannot have two bosses and all that.. 2)I thought Potimas had milked the reincarnated students of their knowledge to make his machines but it appears he already knew how to make them, since 14 - 15 years ago he already had multiple cyborg bodies of himself when Oka-chan was just a toddler. Later on apparently he also made (biological) clones of himself, one of which 15-year old Sophia decapitated. I think this guy has gone beyond even the over-cautious hero in his cautiousness - or perhaps cowardice. 3)Why was Oka-chan so surprised to find out that Kumoko / Wakaba was alive (I thought she was lying before but she really thought she was dead)? Did the latter find out about Oka-chan's unique skill and devise a way to hide her status from her? 4)Going back to Oka-chan how much does she know about Potimas' diabolical plans and deeds? Does she know almost everything and decided to turn a blind eye in order to save her students, hence her recent doubts and self-questioning about what she did? Does she know that Potimas murdered the parents of Sophia and surely had the parents of other children murdered? 5)Which of Kumoko's parallel minds survived - and does it matter? She said she managed to slip one of her parallel minds into an egg. Martial artist Body-chan merged with Ariel, so there were three minds left. Since only one mind survived the other two are apparently gone, but can she restore them? Her memories appeared to be fine though, so they are not tied to the parallel minds. She did not appear to lose any power either, despite mentioning that she made a weaker clone of herself in the form of an egg. It appears that her physical form does not really matter, all that mattered is that she managed to transfer one of her parallel minds to an egg, and along with it all her skills and stats. 6)Last but not least, since Shun reached Taboo level 10 (~15 years after Kumoko...) does this mean he knows everything about the truth of this world, the imminent danger it is in and why exactly Ariel, Kumoko and co attacked the elves? 1) I think Ariel and Kumoko are at a truce because neither can kill the other thanks to the ability to transfer their soul into a clone . And since Potimas which was the reason for their cooperation is not dead yet I assume their deal is still in place. What will happen after I do not know. I think that Sophia is more indebted to Kumoko that saved her repeatedly and also the fact that they were classmates in previous life make s a difference. About Ariel being 50% Kumoko not really. As Kumoko's parallel mind eat away some of Ariel's mind it replaced it with its own but I would not say Ariel is part Kumoko now. Rather that now she has slightly different personality, more humane more joy de vivre, etc. I do not think either of the two is the boss but Ariel generally has the lead because most of the army is under her command so unless she asks something outrageous I assume kumoko will do as she says at least until they kill Potimas. About who is stronger I have no idea, my assumption is Kumoko but unless someone finds all their eggs they cannot really be killed. So it does not matter. 2. The reincarnations are extremely powerful once they get enough XP. Only a few others in this world are as powerful. If you go by Kumoko standard most reincarnations will be as strong as the demon king or the Hero in time. Having so many powerful people under your control is a huge asset for anyone. That is why they choose to kill Sophia instead because they cannot control her. 3. I assume she can only track some students. I assume Kumoko being a monster is harder to track down. Also considering she was only a head after the fight with Ariel and was hit with Abyss magic and destroyed after the second fight and only escaped by moving to a clone body , you can understand. Abyss magic can destroy the soul itself if you missed it. 4. I think she is pretty much in the dark about Potimas. Mostly she knows what Potimas tells her. In some way she went with end excuses the means with the kidnappings of reincarnations but she always doubts that it was the best way. 5. I think is more like moving your soul to another body but since in hinduism and budhism and this series souls are not atomic entities and can be divided or combined is unclear. But no it does not matter which parallel mind. The only difference between parallel mind is what function they serve, but technically they can all do all of them just not at the same time. The clone is weaker in the sense that she is now an infant instead of an adult. Much less mass strength mp , etc. By consuming enough food even without the evolving step she made she can regain all missing power. 6. Yup. That is why he is in shock. That is why I assume the previous Hero also joined Ariel's side. I cannot tell you much more because I do not know much more and the few spoilers I know are something I heard I do not know about. |

Can somebody spoil me, what happens after he reaches Taboo lv 10? It seems like it would be something important, yet the anime didn't care to show it. How is he even having the taboo skill? I don't remember him acquiring it. Isn't it a skill that you get, for doing "unholy" things, like the dragon girl killing her own parent at the beginning of the anime? Healing the half-elf girl increased his taboo skill to lv 10. Why is healing a taboo?? Maybe he brought her back from death, that's why, but I certainly don't remember him doing any taboo things before this, how is he lv 10 with it all of a sudden? I have been ignoring the spider part, can anybody tell me what the fck? Her parallel brain thingy (which was already the stupidest shit in the anime) invaded the demon lord's brain? What? Why? How? The demon lord is the strongest being in this world, and the spider just randomly "brainwashes" her? Also, the spider is just a complete joke at this point (ok, has been for the entire anime), now she is literally cannot be destroyed by any means (she just comes back to life with full stats if somehow killed). I appreciate trying to mix things up, but now apparently the elves are the bad guys and the demons are the good? Really? Basically, the whole spider part happens before episode 1 of the non-spider part, so the spider-parallel-brain-infested demon lord has been "nicer" since the beginning of the anime. The demon side:
Potimas:
And really? He's been making robots and mechs... The is no gunpowder in this world, or electricity, or engines. WTF. Anyway, it doesn't matter, since they are useless against the "good guys". Potimas is quite sympathetic, he is trying to go up against the literal gods on the demon side. All 4 of them are utterly undefeatable. First, there was the demon lord, ofc she's op as she's the demon lord, it honestly is totally fine. Then joined by the vampire girl,, now there's 2 of them,, still it is fine. Yup ofc spider. No comment. Some random ass dude randomly showing up at like ep 20 and is OP as hell. U kiddin me right?? Anyway, the non-spider part was relatively good, the spider part was just causing me brain damage, so I stopped watching it. Sadly this last episode was just full of shit, and this is where the 2 parts merge, so it would be a full on OP fest from now, so I don't mind it ending. |

And it's not really full stats actually, her new body is weak as a baby (by the way, she used the Kin Control link to that in the same way she attacked Mother with her parallel minds and Body Brain used Mother and Ariel's link to attack the Demon Lord). imSOunique said: I appreciate trying to mix things up, but now apparently the elves are the bad guys and the demons are the good? Truth is one day a futuristic world that will be destroyed after lost so much MA Energy. Human and Pure Dragon clan are the one who causing all this destruction. Admin D created system but it required God's life as battery. Someone called Sariel then become the battery. Potimas was one of those human then turned into Elf. His goal is becoming a GOD. He's dangerous enemy. After that, Ariel (Demon Lord) kills Potimas (Elf Leader) for the last time in his hideout but then she weakened. Shun and his party return back to kingdom, Sue (his young sister) receives Hugo's Ruler Skill, both of them will get Hero and Demon Lord swords somehow. Both swords actually are made by Admin D's then she left there and both swords actually can kill a God with some requirements. Even they have both swords, they can't win on 1vs1.
As far i know : Shun will get some supports from other races like Demon and Dragon clans (Even admin Gulie too) while Ariel (Demon Lord) and Shiraori (MC Spider) will be betrayed, only their relative that will keep on their side. In the future Shiraori (MC Spider) will fight against Admin Gulie and everyone will choose God they want to believe after D gives everyone Lv.10 Taboo Skill to see the truth. So they will fight together. Shiraori (MC Spider) and her party they will challenge the strongest enemy. That's heavy spoilers, even for LN-Readers. |

Why is healing a taboo?? Maybe he brought her back from death, that's why, but I certainly don't remember him doing any taboo things before this, how is he lv 10 with it all of a sudden? Yes. The anime did not adequately explain Shun's skill, Mercy. Mercy is one of the seven heavenly virtue Ruler skills, and allows the user to resurrect someone if they have not been dead long and their body is still mostly intact. The anime basically cut out about half of the coup where Shun is forced to use this skill several times, causing him to rapidly gain levels of Taboo. Instead, in the anime they opted to have him only use it twice, and neither explain Mercy or how it levels up Taboo when used. imSOunique said: I have been ignoring the spider part, can anybody tell me what the fck? Also, the spider is just a complete joke at this point (ok, has been for the entire anime), now she is literally cannot be destroyed by any means (she just comes back to life with full stats if somehow killed). Mother's Kin Control skill created a link between Mother and Kumoko. This link allowed Kumoko to mentally attack Mother's soul by sending over her Parallel Minds to eat Mother's mind. This is an indirect attack not part of any "skill" in the System, and the nature of the attack is Heresy as it attacks the soul. instead of her soul being eaten. As for Kumoko surviving Abyss magic via Egg; well this is another case of the anime needlessly changing/not being clear. This is most likely due to not having enough time to fully explain as we are already on the last episode. She is able to transfer her mind in a similar fashion to the mind attack used against Mother to an unborn egg of hers, which allows her to survive an attack that normally would be lethal. If she has no eggs, she cannot do this. When she transfers her soul to the egg, she does not exactly retain all of her stats. She actually is initially reborn with single digit stats similarly to a level 1 Small Lesser Taratect. This is only temporary, however. imSOunique said: The demon side:

You've jumped to some conclusions here, and I'm not entirely sure how you've come to some of these. Why are you assuming Potimas hasn't done anything? There's a time gap, yes, but that doesn't mean things won't happen in between. Same with Kyouya. He's not just random guy. He's been present early on in the season, even as early as Ariel the Demon Lord. He just hasn't had to act until now. The demon side is indeed quite strong, but what about that makes you find Potimas sympathetic? Seems to be an odd jump in logic to me. |

The season was great. Thank you for the anime. It could be a lot better with other animation (idcare about the CGI, but the characters got their faces misshaped). But I liked the pace and Kumo is a great character. On the last episode, unfortunately, with Kumo's evolution we lost a little her expressions, but I think the studio will improve in next season. |

Loved this episode. The meeting of the MC and the rest of the class wasn't as epic as it was in the book, but it is still quite spot on. Maybe. The End is so like her though, ending the season/series with her favorite phrase; "Nai waa". :) Hoping for a continuation but that is just flushing out their journey to becoming stronger and getting to where they are now at the present time. Thanks to the people that made this series into an anime, it is quite a joy. |

Finally the big reveal, the white haired girl actually was the MC. She looks beautiful as hell in her human form. I love how the vampire girl calls her "Master". I can already tell there's so much more to this story and saw there's loads of volumes for the LN so Im probably going to pick them up. Its not often where there's an isekai where an entire class is isekai'd. This is been a great series from start to finish though. I love the points/skill system. It was always interesting to see what she'd get next. I love how by the end of it our perception of who we should route for was shifted to the Demon Lord team. Can't wait to eventually get onto the LN and see where this goes. |

Fnights said: 8/10 cause the crappy second half animation, the extra week delay didn't help either, action scenes still confused and bad animated, episode 24 also feel very rushed and i guess more details and scenes were ommitted. However Kumoko arachne evolution was big and gargeous, at least they do not screw this part like they did with the manga. LN vs manga vs anime arachne evo Cross fingers for season II but moreover hope they change animation studio and director. ps: Is me or Kumoko have a pretty hard time against Potimas even with the huge amount of skills she have? No way. :D One of the many reasons why people always recommend reading the LN over the Manga. |

They didn't removed the opening song because of that the pace is kinda bit fast & removed some scenes like Guile's(Administrator)visit to Kumoko and offer the dead body of his kin Gakia(Leader of Earth dragon/killed by Ariel in elroe labyrinth)and also Merazophis looks back to the dead bodies of his master&mistress after Ariel defeated The Elven Terminator Potimas... Anyways it's still a nice adaptation of Studio Millepensee... Btw For those who wants to continue the series by reading the Lightnovel ,then start at the Volume 6 ... |

This final episode was much better than I thought. The animation was more solid than in the last couple of episodes so I'm glad that they took the time to fix things up. Definitely closing on a much higher note than anticipated. It also helped establish the link between Kumoko and Ariel as well as how Sophia and Merazophis joined them so that's all good. Only thing I would've liked better is a bit more time showing the reunion between Kumoko and Shun and co. It's such a highly anticipated moment since the first cour and feels like that quick meeting didn't do it justice. Otherwise, it went as expected and Kumoko is still as silly as ever even in her new human form lol. 9/10 - mostly because of the couple of bad animation moments and not getting more time to see Shun and co reactions' to Kumoko's appearance. After all, I would've loved to see what Shun would do if he knew she killed Julius! |

I liked that there is 4 or 5 plotlines going on at once and they rarely intersect, the story seems pretty good, but feels like that was only the introduction. Animation was ok in places but mostly bad, full of still shots and bad cg. I would watch another season with this quality, but i hope for better if it ever gets made. |

Suddenly, the Demon Lord and Spider and the other (ex-bad guys? xD) are friends and actually the good guys trying to save that world xD The elves in general (Potimas) are actually the bad guys here with all those futuristic weapons and even clones/robots. Well, they played with past and present throughout the anime but wow... they managed to make it very confusing specially in these last episodes. The animation and art are also waving from "wtf" to "acceptable". Not that it managed to change my score for worst, just that it bothered me a bit having it so unstable. The first half of the anime had way more better and consistent art/animation. Despite all of that, in general, it is a very enjoyable anime 8/10 The plot is interesting/intriguing, and with this ending a 2nd season is a must! |

My thoughts: I was worried about who Wakaba was going to end up being after confirming that what we were seeing was in the past in comparison to the other story. I thought that it could be Ariel since she had some of her memories, although it later ws better explained. I was worried that she was going to be a bad guy, but the big reveal of what sides everyone is actually on and the hidden goals of both sides really put my worries to rest. I think that if Wakaba is in fact the one that killed Julius, theres going to need to be more justification behind it. And I don't know that the others will trust her for a while, even if she told them everything. But I can't wait to find out! In the series, my least favorite thing is the CGI use. The CGI itself is fine, you don't need to hand-draw things all the time, but he 3D use of it kind of makes it feel like less of an anime. You can make 3D models look 2D if you do it right. |

I use and recommend MAL-Sync, a free, open-source tool that tracks progress on a large number of sites, delivers episode notifications, syncs across tracking websites, and adds extra information such as where to read/watch right on the MAL website. I don't know if this ending was rushed or they just changed a lot going from WN to Manga/LN to Anime. Don't know if Hugo died yet since it wasn't made clear. Ronandt screen time was drastically shortened. It seems robots got mixed in with Potimas' elf village defenses since they were separate as far as I read. Lastly, there should've been one more evolution before the demon king's truce. Not sure if I should be happy we got to this point in such a short time or sad about elements in the story that got taken out. Can't say I want to read the published LN after seeing how much got change from the WN. |

@groudonvert: Good to know. As for what's so different from the WN, there's quite a long list. 1. Fight with demon lord happens before war breaks out 2. Ronandt revisits the cave and encounters mother Kumoko 3. Ronandt retrains his magic skills within the cave till main body returns with child Julius 4. Kumoko had saved Julius from friendly fire by teleporting him to the cave 5. There, she decides to evolve in order to better communicate with Ronandt 6. After evolving, she tells Ronandt to take Julius with him and train him as his apprentice 7. At some point in the story, she dug several bases underground to lay eggs to transfer to 8. She even encountered ant like creatures and made their nest her own A lot more happens after, but that's potential spoiler material; as it leads to her final transformation. It could be the same or it could be completely different. Hard to imagine it being the same since she is officially with the demon lord now when it should have happened later. As for other events... 9. Shun is given an opportunity to save his family and friends 10. There's a whole rescue mission where Ronandt secretly helps both sides 11. He joins the Empire; and after exposing their arrival, he makes an excuse to make everyone flee 12. Ronandt is seen again in the battle with the elves along with his two disciples 13. There are also machines in this battle but they resemble the spider puppets more than the mecha we see here 14. There are trees for the elves to fight from as apposed to floating in the air like they were here 15. Elves don't coordinate with the machines and only Ronandt is handling them, as they weren't yet directed at the demon army generals I could go on, but some changes actually make sense. There wasn't much reason for the elves to be using the same puppets the demon lord had unless it was the demon lord that stole and made use of them with her offspring. Hugo does die, but I can't say by who since it would be another potential spoiler. I couldn't tell if [these changes were made to make the story less gory or if it all happens] later. I could be wrong on a few things, but that's as much as I remember that can be revealed at this point. |

Kumoko and Ariel fight twice in LN, first before Mother death and second during the Sariella war. 2. and 3. Ronandt doesn't directly encounter Kumoko, but he lives during some time with the Parallel Minds and their offsprings (that are the main antagonist of LN6 by the way). Everything you said about point 2 and 3 happens in LN6. 4. and 6. Kumoko saves Ronandt, Julius and Keren's town by killing the paralell minds and teleporting all of her offsprings back in the labyrinth (Ronandt recognizes her as the Labyrinth's Nightmare). Julius asks Ronandt to be his apprentice after that. 5. She never encounter Ronandt in person when she was an Arachne (no idea when she becomes a human). 8. She does that too in LN7 and... something interesting happen that will transform her for the last time in her "human" form. And a completely powerless human :) About 9 to 15, no idea what you're talking about xD Julius is more developped in LN too, he has an entire volume with his POV. |
