| Kokkoku is the best example of this, the OP is a straight 10/10 banger but the show is a snoozefest. For other good examples, Warau Salesman New, Koi to uso, Mirai Nikki, Black Bullet, Juuni Taisen, Akame ga Kill (the 2nd one), Overlord and SAO (duh) are all bottom tier trash shows with great OPs that I revisit regularly. Black Heaven, Drifters, Inuyashiki, Soul Eater, Death Parade, Tiger Mask W, Tokyo Ghoul and Kiznaiver aren't bottom tier trash, but they're still not worth their OP. But man the Kokkoku OP, strong contender for best OP in anime. |

| KonoSuba OP and ED was really good but the anime is not much good imo. The Promised Neverland S2 OP and ED were awesome (especially ED), but the season turned to be a joke. My hero academia's S4 OP-1 was really amazing. I had high hopes for that season. But, that season was the worst season of MHA |

| There's so many... Biggest one is probably Destiny of the Shrine Maiden. The opening and also the ending are SO good, but the show... not so much IMO. KanColle's opening was also pretty great. Wasn't the biggest fan of the show though Maoyu also had a good OP it does have my least favorite anime ED of all time though (Dis)honorable mention to Madoka Magica because while the OP is good and I didn't like the show, the OP took a while to grow on me and I didn't like it much while I was watching the show I'm currently watching Evangelion 11 episodes in so far. I don't dislike it by any means in fact I think it's pretty good so far but I'll be surprised if the show manages to live up to that legendary OP. |

| Many people in this thread already said Kokkoku, which is my top pick. So I'll put in an opening that hasn't been mentioned: Re Cutey Honey. It's one of those "turn your brain off" type of ecchi shows/OVAs, so it ain't terrible, but it ain't good either. At least the art and catchy theme song are fun and memorable. Sadly youtube removed the HD version of this song :( |
