I am interested in the perspective of the 86 district characters because of what happened towards the end of the episode. |

| I also got AoT vibes but only in certain parts, like the more darker scenes and the dinner scene with the squad, it kinda reminded me of AOT season 1 I do think the series will be way different to AoT tho ^^ |

| The truth is that I would not like to compare it to AoT. Anime with war themes usually touch on themes like this, in addition, it is the greatest potential of war anime. If you say "it's like AoT with wicks" it makes me think that you expect a war anime, set in a war, that is not about war and its transcendence. |

| For once I agree with AoT comparisons. Giadian Empire and its (without going into spoilers) legacy have a lot of similarities with Eldia. That being said, it’s more of a final season AoT and not early years AoT if you get my meaning. 86 is also a lot more emotionally positively charged than AoT. Despite depicting genocide levels of cruelty at times it counterbalances them with subtle kindness and existentialism, and even heavy dose of romance. |

| To me it's just the music that has AoT vibes since it's Sawano Hiroyuki. As for the show itself it seems like a mixture of Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova, Deca-Dence and Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. |
