| I respect Hasegawa's hustle. Turning his shitty life experiences into scary stories is pretty brilliant, all things considered. But of course, in true Madao fashion, his business became TOO profitable, and he ran out of things to complain about. Of course, of course. I never watched Saint Seiya, so I didn't really get all of the references, but they were pretty funny. I knew that Saint Seiya would somehow appear at the end of every story, but they still managed to make Phoenix appear in pretty creative ways. The setups for the scary stories weren't that bad either. I would pay money to hear the Yorozuya just have a show telling scary stories. That doesn't sound bad at all. The parody ED was really funny. I love that they even replicated the old 90s credits. The next arc looks funny, can't wait! |

| Last time was bleach, now it's Saint Seiya time. The story with the kid who was smiling after her father killed the mother was honestly scary, well until the twist, but a great horror story nonetheless. The Shogun is back ! |

| Previews didn't lie, this was a badass episode as expected even if it went into a unexpected direction with that many Saint Seiya references (never watched the show, even if it wasn't a too detrimental thing at the very end). Madao actually found a decent business with the scary stories and acting like he did, not gonna lie. Kagura, please, stop shoe-horning Phoenix into every situation XD all those repetitive and less and less scarier phone calls turned out to be amusing, couldn't he buy a GPS before? And then, she is the one "right behind him". Lol. Gintoki was so afraid of equally threatening phone calls after remembering those recent episodes "inspired" by To Love Ru and Kuroko No Basket, and in fact, when it was almost over... Sunrise, Bandai Namco... DAMN. PS rewatched the Saint Seiya-esque ending and laughed even harder. Kondo, Katsura and Madao helmets, Hiji with mayonnaise as shoulder pads, Shinpachi not wearing his human... beautiful. EDIT: rewatched almost ten months, later, i didn't comment Madao's clever concept about summer holidays that never end. i'm into a week off from my job right now (and needed it hard, to be honest) but never forgot how depressing it was unemployment for a full year after high school graduation and one more year and half between 2011 and 2012. That's also why i rewatched this one for the third or fourth time. |
