never ask a girl her weight, sure, but why do some think they're plump even though it's proportional? or maybe guys shouldn't judge because we like curves anyway? I don't really want too much of anything though, oh and also:when is the line crossed between 'good' plumpness to bad? why am I even asking o^);;?

fire away..

yeah, I be bored

When BMIs exceed about 23 (and yes, I know BMI is a fairly inaccurate measurement of body fat, due to muscle density and all that, but I don't like muscley people either). BMIs over 23ish is getting a bit too large for me. I like quite slender people without flubber or macho muscles or whatnot either way.

Just don't expect the correct answer.

Some people just have a complex about weight and looks in general.

When people ask me my weight, I always say the truth: 60kg (132lbs). I usually dare them say I'm fat afterwards...

As for plumpness, it's okay of a girl has a little plump ion her, whatever tall she is, as long it doesn't bounce a lot when she moves. plumpness isn't preferable for short girls I think.

I'm not particularly picky about physical appearance, just as long as a girl isn't out of proportion somewhere.

I don't see why people like twig figures either, but I like curves~

Edit: should add my weight. Lost again, I'm at 47 kg now. This is borderline anorexy T^T

Toxic topic for me! (ex-anorectic)

SURPRISE! I prefer to be skinny. I don't like skin and bones though.
I'm pretty sure I like what most guys dislike - to be muscular.

Atm, I'm thinking of shedding some fat... I'm about 58kg, being 169cm.

There is a difference between fat, plump, and curvy.
This statement often made by curvy girl lovers, is true.

However, unlike them, I am one of the people who use it to mean I don't like curvy women and that it's not the same as being attracted to stick thin women or putting forth the standard that women should be skinnier than men.

Interestingly, either group, the skinny girl and "plump" girl fandom both puts forth the idea that women should be womanly looking. As if they have to strut forward their own heterosexuality when talking about women. The "womanly" additive is totally unnecessary for either fandom.

Just something I have a lot of experience with and wanted to comment on.

I weigh 109 pounds, which is probably underweight for 16 year olds, but I'm pretty short so it doesn't really matter.
I hate it when girls my age obsess about weight. Some of my friends are always like, I cant eat chocolate I'm on a diet etc etc, when they're not even fat...

Thats always bugged me too, I blame the media. Thin is beautiful and if you've even got small love handles your considered fat. Personally, I like my females thin and small, but hey, if a woman is a little pudgy, then i could care less. But its too much when a woman has a gut, that's sickening.

Chances are it's only a line that women can see and men don't nor doesn't necessarily care for.
Personally I prefer women to be on the rounded side. It's just so much easier that way...kinda cos if you go out to eat with you don't really have to worry about eating a lot in front of a person who isn't eating a lot.
But I'm just gonna put it down to the insaneness of a woman's ability to obsess about their weight.

it always annoys me when my friends don't eat when we go out saying "i'm on a diet" when they aren't fat; i consider it to be impolite: i can't eat if you're not eating x(

anyway, i'm on the plump, little curvy side xD 1.72 m in height, and 67 kilos

some told me i should lose weight while others said i look good the way i am so i guess it depends on your perception and tastes :3

i've never been on a diet in my whole life and i'm very proud of it :D if i want to eat chocolate or pizza i just eat them d(x.x)b

i'm more of a sports person and i believe that if you want to lose weight you should work out, not starve yourself :P i don't like obese people because obese means unhealthy but i don't think skin and bones is any better

it really depends on the female in question. Every body is different. And weight distribution will look better or worse depending on the female.

I don't care for skin and bones and ribs showing and stuff. That is sick and unhealthy. there needs to be meat on the bones because it makes the body softer and more pleasant to touch.

some girls are really paranoid when they look just fine. I guess I can't blame them. Society has engineered them to be that way.

I'm going to be brutally honest and risk sounding like some superficial jerk, and say that I would greatly prefer an anorexic to a fat girl. Anorexic is actually a pretty loose term anyways, and so is fat, of course. Fact of the matter is, when it comes to beauty, weight has little to do with it, and everything to do with it at the same time. The first thing I look at is the face, and then I look at the body; if the face isn't up to my standards, no body weight will compensate for it. If the face is, but the weight isn't, I'd feel it's a shame and leave it at that. I think the reason I prefer a skinnier girl is that it suggests better self control and elegance. Besides, I myself am a skinny guy, at 73 kg and 1.85m.

I get irritated about "Uhhh, I'm soooo fat" or "I have to loose some weight".

I eat candy almost everyday, and exercise everyday (situps and pushups), and I'm sill underweight. I can't do anything about it. I'm not complaining. Some girls my age (17) who would love to get in to a pair of jeans designed for 12-13 year olds.

What ever I do, I can't gain weight.

OnT: I don't like girls that are too skinny (Paris Hilton etc.). There's nothing wrong with having curves, it's good! Also, as said earlier, do not take BMI values too seriously as it's only an estimate since muscles weigh more than fat.

And throw in some extra loads of candy and shit food for good measure, and you'll be raking up the kilos.

It's often rather funny to see how girls obsess about weight though, especially when you've got the ones that look perfectly normal but still want to lose some.

Hourglass body ftw.

For me the line is crossed when she has multiple chins, and if shes too skinny, and I can see her ribs and cheek bones that's bad too.

You can see my ribs (slightly) and cheekbones (clearly) and I'm not terribly thin. I just work out often, and when you're burning fat, it disappears more noticeably from places that are thinner to begin with, like faces and ribcage/back areas. Has nothing to do with being "too thin." Especially cheekbones. Some faces just have more prominent cheekbones.

On the other hand you can see my rib cage and hip bones and my cheeks are full. xD It depends on everyone.

Also, I don't work out and I eat fat and chocolate everyday. I'll have diabetes when I get old. But I'm horribly thin. I don't get why. I've been in the situation of "you would be beautiful, if you had more meat"

The fatter a girl is, the more pronounced her third spatial dimension becomes, which deviates from the ideal 2D fantasy girl.

Eating more protein and lifting weights helps. Then there's testosterone supplements, but you don't wanna go there.

Get meat or fish twice a day. My feeding is balanced, as I'm not the one in charge of it. I also started going to the gym (but that's because I felt my heart was already failing).

Fortunately enough, my legs are good. People look at them and ignore the arms and the above section of the body.

I'm definitely more for women with a good physique. It's a good thing to be concerned with and care about your body (though not to obsess with it). That being said, I am not inherently biased against women who are larger, but I find that it says a bit about them personally whenever they can't even care about their body for their own sake. I don't really buy the "Oh I'm large and I don't care because I'm beautiful." I'm sure your body has a different take on its condition. Regardless, personality goes miles for me when I'm looking for a sig. other.

Great, now I can't get the image off my head.
But seriously, the topic of weight is overly discussed and emphasized upon by women. Despite my previous post, it's a matter of fact that I don't care that much about weight... It seems it's been getting more popular to discuss among guys as well, for some obscure reason.

Honestly, I think girls look better when they have curves. Granted, there is a limit to the amount of curve you can have before you start looking fat. When a girl's waist approaches the size of her hips, then it starts looking, well, bad.

I'll admit, I'm on the heavier side. If I go by my BMI, I'm classified as overweight. However, while I do have some fat, I also have some muscle, too, probably from all the biking I do and from my job, which is like a workout itself. My dad once hinted that I needed to lose weight (he suggested I start going to the gym), but when we went out biking, not only did I go faster than him, I was also only slightly out of breath at the end, while my dad was gasping for breath and sweating xD (granted, my dad's a lot older than me...but at least it stopped him from harping on me for being out of shape)

There are probably a lot of things I could do to help myself, but currently, my life is pretty busy at it is. I should work on my diet, though - less processed foods and such. But, in terms of getting exercise, the gym bores the hell out of me and it's expensive. Why pay to walk on a stationary treadmill when I can go out, get some fresh air, and take a walk for free?

My BMI is 20 and I weigh somewhere between 8 and a half - 9 stones, which is a little underweight apparently. I think some people don't realise that not all girls are obsessed with keeping their weight down, some of them (like me) just want to tone our bodies up and improve our fitness in general. It really annoys me when you get a perfectly slim girl whining about how "fat" she is and how she desperately needs to lose weight. A bit of podge is very nice I think. I think its better to be podgy than skinny; skinny people can look very mal-nourished even if they're not anorexic.

My BMI is around 19-20, because I often go up and down for 5 kg or so, which is why my jeans are always too tight or too loose T_T
but when I go over 65 I know that's too plumpy in my view.
This said, if someone is plumpy/fat has nothing to do with bmi, but more with fat/muscle ratio.

Hmm.. I don't really pay thought on my weight. Of course I pay attention to what I eat (because I don't want to feel uncomfortable with myself), but it's not that I'm undernourished and starve myself. I think people that have more curves can be beautiful too so I don't mind something like that. (I'm a girl btw) I think that very skinny people have to eat more (if they intentionally are light of weight), sometimes I don't even understand why they want to starve themselves.. eating is fun!

I have 100 pounds that is not welcome. I am only 5'7" and it matters.

But I am ok being labeled, FAT! I am, acceptance means accepting the truth.

I am not 'slightly over weight' or 'a little round'.

And I am not planning to defend myself by saying I have personality (even if I do).
I had a great personality when I was slim and it's the same one I have now.

If I was a woman, I'd basically be a fat woman.
Fat is fat.
And to be honest, I find stick thin people just as ugly.
