| 400 years ago Roswaal had a nice kiss from Echidna, more like a savior kiss. Who is that mysterious man? he looks like a sleep-deprived person but he's kinda op, and was the voice actor of the mysterious man is Junichi Suwabe? I was kinda sad when Ryuzu left Beatrice The ED is out?! let's gooooo! |

| Another episode about the past about sanctuary. The past has showed us what the people had in mind, what they wanted, and what resulted in. Unfortunately, the result was the segregation between the loved and precious ones, and the conflict between two individuals with different ideals. Roswaal has yet to refuse the offer from Subaru, and of course Subaru wishes to destroy everything of Roswaal’s plans. Those thoughts are based on each other’s loved ones: Echidna and Emilia. And oh my god, Beatrice’s character is now explained after 40+ eps. She was trying to distance herself from the others since she lost everything in the past. What would it feel like to lose her best friend, her mother, and her home and endure it for 400 years? Hope she would get saved by her “that person” and be happy once again. Oh yeah, apparently a majin called "Hector" appeared in front of the Echidna gang. Funny thing is that he had the same talk habit as Roswaal right now. Maybe Roswaal used some kind of thought transfer magic on him to live for 400 years, but who knows? Lastly, that ED tho. It didn’t have flashy or amusing animation, but the mood and the atmosphere they put using the light work was beautiful. That went along with the song well, and it had that first season second ending vibe(I remember it was Stay Alive by Takahashi Rie(VA for Emilia)). With that all said, I’m looking forward for the next ep of another fight of will between Subaru and Roswaal, and Emilia’s will to take the rest of the Sanctuary’s trials. |

| That was another amazing episode! again 29:30 minutes long! We finally got to see the ED, introduction of Hector, and Roswaal getting his ass beaten. The talk between Roswaal and Subaru was really tense, I loved it. I've not watched the Ryuzu-Beatrice goodbye scene yet, waiting for subs before crying at that scene. |

| The kiss between Roswaal and Echidna really surprised me lol. And by the way, we finally got the ending with the visuals. Good job, White Fox! 6/5 Episode, again. |

| Damn, the ED is just beautiful! I've been hooked to the song for a while, especially, for the past two weeks so being rewarded with quality visual like that is fantastic. Starting the episode off with that glorious smooch, no wonder why Roswaal can't break free. Something to do with mana though, good luck convincing me that xD. New villain this time. A new Demon voiced by Junichi Suwabe? Yes, please. Power level of the series is out of this world. Ryuzu Meyer-san's past revealed too. Heartbreaking final moments between her and Betty. Going to need the subtitles to get the full image. Likewise with the whole convo between Subaru and Roswaal. Kind of worried if this arc will actually finish by 5 episodes. 2.5 hours doesn't seem nearly enough for me, anime-only here. But well, Wednesday nights are at least definitely assured. @kotomine33 That would be great! |

It was unnecessary addition. Echidna actually wasn't horny at all in Novels (THIS ECHIDNA, I mean). And I actually dislike this scene. Gives you wrong idea about their relationship. Yeah, the didn't kiss in LN. At least not in volumes 14-15. Looks like anime canon or something. |
| A dialogue heavy episode and kudos to all the seiyuu's for their great performance. Ryuzu and Beatrice's final conversation was really emotional. I teared up a bit at that scene. Subaru and Roswaal's conversation was filled with emotions and both Kobayashi Yuusuke and Koyasu Takehito's voice acting was lit af. Also I wonder why Roswaal started dressing like Hector. | Back to wholesome moments between young Roswaal, Beatrice, Ryuzu and Echidna, and the origin and creation of Sanctuary...the calm before the storm. Echidna's kiss to Roswaal...that's pretty surprising and came out of left field. Roswaal, you're one LUCKY bastard with the wet tongue action xD Before being the Witch of Greed we've come to know of Echidna in the 1st half, it's surprising to see that she's the saviour of young Roswaal, Ryuzu and Beatrice. A GOOD witch without greed Echidna was one, and a pouting Beatrice whose talk is influenced by Roswaal. The introduction of the "Warlock of Melancholy" Hector raging upon the land (before it was called Sanctuary), the plan to develop Sanctuary's barrier to the state we've seen towards the end of the 1st Cour would not be possible without Ryuzu's sacrifice. Young Ros getting his ass kicked by Hector though from the Unseen Hands, what a grim situation on life and death. Only with Echidna's interference (and a little bit of history between each other we'll only know by reading the LN/WN) does Roswaal manage to stay alive. The conversation between Ryuzu and Beatrice shows character development like we've never seen before: the perfect sacrifice to protect Sanctuary, and the girl whom has second thoughts about sending someone off, the beatitudes of Beatrice in tears to a side that was hidden since Season 1. Protecting vs. destroying Sanctuary, weakness vs. strength, a heart of stone vs. a heart of gold (feelings), an intense conflict between Roswaal and Subaru, as fate had changed to favour Subaru and the rest instead. MAN, Roswaal is persistent about leaving Sanctuary the way it is, but Subaru etching each and every argument of wit towards Roswaal's face, I'd commend the balls to do so against someone with 400 years of authority. FINALLY we have the ED with the visuals...and other than vibes, there was little information to dissect from, which is a good thing to avoid spoilers. +1 to great episodes. |

| Echidna's kiss to Roswaal definitely surprised me. I find it clever how they used black and white coloring for the opening parts of this episode tbh. This season has done an interesting job at explaining characters' past so I think this week's episode managed to meet that goal again. ED theme for this week's episode fit pretty well. |

| ED with the visuals was best part. Really well made. New character as well...looks like he is a really baad guy though. The focus on our two girls were great and quite sad as well how they said "Sayonara" to each other |

| That kiss came out of nowhere and made me feel a little uncomfortable. Sucking mana through kissing, where have I seen that before, haha. Again, slow paced episode. The pacing for this arc really kills a lot of enjoyment for me. This episode had some great dialogue and some hard hitting emotional moments, which would have been amazing had I not been thinking the entire episode "this season really needs to get moving". This episode was pretty much half a flashback and then the second half was conversation between Subaru and Roswaal. This arc has had more standing around and talking than the Monogatari series, which says a lot. The flashback was well done and showed us more of Beatrice and her connections to the other characters in the past, and really fleshed out a few characters who desperately needed the development. It also gave us the much needed backstory of the origin of the sanctuary. The conversation between Subaru and Roswaal definitely could have and should have been shortened, but the overall deeper themes within their arguments was valid and stayed true to their characters, though in the end, it sort of just seemed like a waste of time. In short, this wasn't one of my favorite episodes of this season, but that may just be due to the overall pacing of the arc. I liked the first half of the episode more than the second half. I really hope that the pacing takes a shift into high gear in the remaining episodes. |

| That Dona kiss got me on BRICK. The ED is stunning too Betty and Ryuzu farewell was beautifully done as I expected. Was pretty emotional reading that scene. Roswaal and Subaru’s voice acting during their fight was superb. Loved the OST that played during that. Hector and Roswaal fight was as epic as I’d expected too. Excellent episode. We’re almost at the end of Yen press translated stuff, and volume 15 got pushed back until March :/. |

| Episode 7 is out tilted thw beginning of the sanctuary and the beginning of the end. We start off with a raunchy scene with echidna and roaswaal and we are taken back to the time where the four were together. The warlock of melancholy, hector is approaching and so they hurry the plan to start the sanctuary. Rsowall gets beaten up by hector using his powers, presumably the unseen hands, and echidna comes out to stop hector from killing roswaal. Beatrice and ryuuzu go to the crystal where its revealed that ryuzu must sacrifice herself in order for the crystal and her od to be in sync and protect the sanctuary or risk killing everyone. Heart wrenching scene follows as beatrice tries her hardest to stop ryuzu but ultimately she makes it. Roswall tells sabura that he believes everyone is weak, whilst subaru is the opposite believing in their strength and they both agree that they push their ideals on the ones they love. Great episode, solid stuff, seems like echidna is a bit more of a madness than expected! |

| Seeing Betty and her pouts was the best part of the episode. The goodbye scene between Ryuzu Meyer and Betty was really sad. They really know how to play with my feelings. :( So we got to see young Roswaal. That kiss scene came out of nowhere. We finally got the ED song with its visuals. |

Hoping for the same, cant deny it :D Anyway, the episode was still longer than standart, having only ED and no OP. Maybe they will return to not having OP and ED for the rest of the episodes? I think this is at least a realistic greed on my part :D |
| Haha well I think I did enjoy that kiss, it's nice to see Echidna like that even though apparently it wasn't like that in the LN. Anyway this episode was absolutely great with once again very interesting backstory moment especially for Roswaal 400 years ago, and as always Subaru was incredible at the end, this man truly knows how to perfectly speak. |

| We are back on having no OP, but we finally got an ED! Dang Echidna giving the pure young Roswaal a kiss, quite hot intimate one too. What a surprising backstory.  Great eps, Betty and Ryuzu shines aswell, but the lack of Emilia, tho XD. But very happy to see the ED visuals is full of her, very good one aswell. |

| I didn't expect to see Echidna kiss Roswaal as the first thing of this episode but it looked really good. I liked Devil of Melancholy, his VA's performance was good as well. Ryuuzu and Beatrice's backstory was sad. They finally added the ED, I loved both the visuals and the song. |
