What's a phrase some people say you hate with a burning passion?

This thread idea came from a fun little interaction I had recently and I already apologize for how ranty this will probably get.

Okay for me it's something along the lines of:
Oh everyone has a little ADHD, it's nothing bad!

Another Gem is:
Oh it's like a superpower, you're unique

Like no, stop, shut the fuck up. First of all, I have ADD and second, just shut up. A person forgetting you purse at home from time to time is not ADD. Its for example how, oh idk, HAVING A MELTDOWN OVER LOOSING THE HOUSE KEY FOR THE THIRD TIME AS A CHILD AND BEING TO AFRAID TO TELL YOUR PARENTS BECAUSE YOU'RE AFRAID OF THEIR REACTION. It's not seeing something shiny and being like wow so shiny. It's shit like being overstimulated in a public area and having a panic attack over not being able to manage it. It's not being able to not focus from time to time. ITS ACTIVELY FAILING SEVERAL CLASSES FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO CONCENTRATE AND FORGET YOUR HOMEWORK AND THIS ISSUE COULD BE SOLVED SO EASILY BUT YOUR BRAIN LACKS THE MOTIVATION AND YOU END UP PROCASTINATING UNTIL OBLIVION.

So no, don't minize something that heavily impacts my life and having gone 18 years undiagnosed has only made it worse. So mayn people struggle with this any someone saying this completely dismisses the struggle. People with ADD/ADHD don't want to have this and constantly struggle with selfworth and are more likely fall into addiciton and other mental ilnesses. So yeah shut up.

So sorry for how agressive this got and I hope everyone has a nice and chill day^^

I hate when people are like "let's go" or some cocky shit like that in celebration. Like you are saying it to celebrate something, but saying "let's go" indicates that you have yet to go.

"Imagine my shock" or "stunning and brave" or SIMP are what people hate with me when i say them.

But on the other hand its this "problematic" "i'm not blank but" "You have a point but" "Liking this contributes to insert problem" and you get the general gist.

All the variants of "You can't love someone till you love yourself"

Many people start loving themselves because they either became a better person from loving someone or their self esteem got better from being loved. You don't have to treat yourself right to know how to treat someone else right.

All the variants of "you should be grateful and happy. It could be worse" something something "starving children in Africa"

This is just a way to promote apathy or hatred for people that have problems and it is totally toxic positivity. The logical conclusion is everyone should supress their negative emotions and no one should feel empathy toward anyone except the single person that is worse than everyone else in some way setting aside the fact there isn't really an objective way to do this anyway.

Any apologetic speech, really. It's basically a guilt trip mechanism that society uses to force you into providing nuances that should be a given. Things like:

"SAO isn't the best show in the world, but I love it."

"I like Kirito, but I don't agree with everything he says."

"I'm not saying genocide is right or the Holocaust didn't happen, but Hitler Eren was actually a decent painter."

“Correlation does not equal causation.”

Everyone who has ever used this argument has used it as a complete cop out in order to not address things that clearly have an association with one another. I have never seen this argument used in a way that wasn’t completely fucking stupid and clearly just a desperate attempt to come up with a way to dismiss valid points.

It would be like if I cited data saying that your house is more likely to burn down if you spill gasoline in the garage, the idiot says “correlation does not equal causation!” As if they are so clever for knowing such a stupid argument.

If anybody ever uses this argument on me in the future I will automatically think of you as having lost the argument.

Yeah yeah everybody knows about the silly examples used to bolster the idea that this is a legitimate argument. But as I said in one Discord server which I took a lot of heat for, common sense can tell you when its one of those silly examples and when they logically follow. What people always use the argument for, is to dismiss things when they logically follow.

technically a youtuber phrase, not something people say in general but

"A LOT OF MY MY VIEWERS WATCHING AREN'T SUBSCRIBED TO MY CHANNEL-"
(bonus points if it's a YTer with 1mil+ subs & makes millions of views per video)

HYPED for Monster Hunter Rise! (wish March 26th would come sooner)

I think I somewhat get what you mean, my disability is often used as an insult and mainly against people who suffer from exact opposite issues leading to stuff like this: "Oh you're insert disability? You don't act like it at all"
Ofc I don't. I'm no internet troll who wastes his time being a pest to randos and vets alike
It's on a lower irritation lv than the stuff below cause I got used to it but it's still sigh-worthy

Since you asked, here some of my personal annoyances (aside from the obvious ones since those been mentioned already)

"im cute bappy uwu" <- should be kept to private conversations

"It should be a sport to harass insert group here uwu" <- same as above

"just know that your opinion is wrong" <- no words, only internal screaming

I hate it when someone say "Bahala na."

“Bahala na” is a philosophical expression Filipinos used when they are confronted with problems. They will say “Bahala Na”, meaning “come what may,” “whatever will be, will be,” 'leave it to God', like the Spanish word “que sera, sera”

Source

Our family businesses are currently under loads of debts and unpaid bills, some of which I have to pay off. Whenever I ask my mom about her plans about it, she would just brush me off by saying "Bahala na" and changing the topic afterwards. So whenever I hear the term, it just reminds me of my mom and her careless decisions.

"All opinions should be respected/I respect everyone's opinion."

You're either lying through your teeth or enough of a sociopath to tolerate some totally fucked shit. And the dumbest thing is that it's not even bad to disrespect an opinion outside of huggy wuggy carebear land, it's perfectly natural and normal to run into shit people say that you hate. Not every opinion is entitled to respect, and you don't have to pretend that it is. And if you aren't pretending then you are absolutely fucked in the head. Full stop.

If you're posturing at tolerance, remember - you're on a discussion board. The whole point of this place is the discussion of opinions. You don't have to accept every stupid thing someone else says, and you're free to challenge them on their opinion. Stop getting in the fucking way and run over to a discord server where you can all hold hands and have picnics and sing merry songs under the rainbow.

All opinions are equal so why not respect their opinion? Unless it’s hate speech.

It just sounds like you want to promote more negativity than positivity.

"I have thyroid problem" no, there's a 50% chance that you just eat too much and have no self control
"Kiss my ass" said by dudes or ugly females, for once I want a hot girl to berate me with this, then spit on me while turning around and spreading them cheeks
"I couldn't care less" to imply that the level of care they give is 0. Problem with that IMO is when they are already made aware of an issue, the value of care is already above 0 so no matter how minuscule it is it's impossible to reach a perfect 0 (something less than "less"), thus the 2 options left is either I could care "less" or "a lot" not couldn't. Idk why I paid so much attention to this phrase but here it is...
"Check your privilege".... no need to comment on this one

I can not believe people did not mention the word "technically" when it does not need to be said like when people say technically a tomato is a fruit I know it is just say it is. This language comes from academia and in the US sometimes it feels like some people just want to show off their vocabulary when it just clutters their speech. I laugh at this I hate it but I just laugh it off.

This post is exactly why we need statistical and media literacy in the educational curriculum as early as possible. So people don't literally fail to distinguish valid arguments and fall to conspiracy theories while ignoring actual facts.
