That feeling when you finished a really good anime and your heart feel empty after finish it because can't experience it for the first time anymore, this kind of romance story makes your whole week happy and always smile everytime everywhere.

Because most of the romance anime don't really give me that feeling. I mean, i found some romance anime has a really good romance imo, and you feel happy if the MC and heroine end up together, but it didn't last long and i immediately think "what should i watch next?"

Does there any of you guys ever experience it, that kind of romance-week? If yes, then what anime that really hits you that hard?

Mostly doujins ngl, wholesome doujins (especially childhood friend ones) can hit your heart like a truck and make you think on why you don't have a girlfriend/boyfriend.

Anime would be:
The chuunibyou movie (WHOLESOME INCARNATE)
Clannad After story (Not the sad parts ofc)
Tonari no Kaibutsu kun (Major heart burn)
Spice and wolf (Holo is the best)
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry (Cheesy at times but still)

Angel Beats! (although its not particularly romance anime the ending and the ova ending hit me different)
Itazura na Kiss (defo one of the hard hitters)
Kanon (2006)
Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai (BEST MOVIE)
Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo (the most wholesome IMO)

Usagi Drop?.. Just kidding.

If I weren't constrained to name an anime then I would say Girl friends; but because you are asking my favourite romantic anime... hmm that would be maybe Spice and wolf, though there are lot of contenders, each of them around 8/10: Tsuki ga Kirei, Aoi Hana, Given, Hotarubi no Mori e, Kimi no Todoke, Sakamichi no Apollon, Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, Yagate Kimi ni Naru, Omoide Poroporo, Asagao to Kase-san etc.

Tsuki ga Kirei, it's so simple and I like that the main guy uses Dazai Osamu quotes, the main girl is fun to watch and there are no drama love triangles, sure there are others interested in the characters but they quickly get their answer. Truly wholesome

Bro I can read wholesome doujins for hoooooours. I just wish some of them lasted longer. They're just so sweet. If you're looking for something that really hits the spot try some Jorori (if you haven't already)
Same dude, I have read the whole series of Jorori and I can easily say that its one of my favorite doujins ever, it's the clannad after story of doujins just without the sadness. Also Kawamoto Hinata is a blessing

Jorori is pure art.

Ye, March comes in Like a Lion is one of my favourites and the characters are just amazing. the world is a better place because it exists.
YESSS, it's also one of my favorites too, its the first anime that after I finished it, it blew me away so much that I started reading the manga starting from chapter 1. Usually when I read a manga after finishing the anime I skip the manga on where the anime was left at, but 3-gatsu no lion made me start from chapter 1 just because I wanted to experience it again. I can talk for hours explaining how amazing the show is.

Yuri On Ice is the main one.
If we consider manga, I’m partial to Man of Many Faces, by CLAMP.
I also see The Dandelion Girl referenced in anime, though the story itself is not Japanese.

Chuunibyou is one of the first anime I watched. It was very wholesome and gave me a feeling of emptiness after finishing it. It was also the anime that made me watch more anime, seeking for more similar pleasures. Two years later I came to find Kaguya-sama and it made a similar feeling to when I watched Chuunibyou, only that it's better, and I experienced it twice since each of its seasons are in separate years. Only those two that befit this topic, I guess.

Ef; a tales of memories
Darling in the franxx
Clannad Kyou and Tomoyo OVA
Sister Princess Repure
Maison Ikkoku
Basilisk
Kimagure Orange Road
Garden of Words
How's Moving Castle

High Score Girl
Kimikiss Pure Rouge (MC friend's romance)
Inari konkon (NOT main couple)
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal
Kara no Kyoukai

Off the top of my head...

Clannad After Story is still the best romance from all I've watched. But it probably don't fit your criteria because to me what makes it's good is not only the happy part, but how they survive together even in the hard times.

Hourou Musuko is a overlooked good teenagers romance (and some other stuff) story too. I just watched it recently despite it was slotted in noitaminA.

Wotakoi Love is hard for an otaku seems to me a very cute anime and it balances very well with comedy.

This anime Island is rather strange compared to its fellow romantic anime because you'll need some commitment to actually finish it. Most people I talk about this anime dropped it somewhere around episode 8, which is very early because the story doesn't even develop yet at that part.

It's not just wholesome—it's very wholesome, especially if you understand what's going on.

Akagami no Shirayukihime, I can't believe no one recommended this one yet. It is a great romance that has actual progression and is the epitome of wholesomeness.

I'd say Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon.

Yeah I know not the boy on girl type of romance but hear me out pls. Without spoiling too much, it's a wonderful tale of two characters who slowly realize they can't live without the other anymore and that being with each other no matter for what length enriches their lives. It's immensely heart-warming to watch them come to that conclusion after several episodes of comedic joy.

Bonus, a non-romance story with a rather similar plot that too is worth your time: Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue.

Tamako love story is the only romance that I really really love. Until now, I haven't seen a light romance that gave me the same feels as Tamako love story.

For the latest one, I've been watching Adachi to Shimamura. I think its relaxing, cute, and wholesome

It must be definetly ''Nana''

Its not just romance but it has great rock- punk music and the story was well writen. Furthermore its really realistic and its the one thing i like about an anime.

March comes in like a lion, dragon maid and poco's udon world (after not getting into sweetness and lightning) have great moments when characters act in a selfless way and avoiding being an a-hole by a great margin
