There are two reviews giving more details. There never was a better excuse to say "I watch hentai for the plot!" than this 30 minute OVA. It deserves to be tagged with more than just HENTAI. | Duration needs to be changed, I submitted the correct duration a while ago, and it seems it got denied. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1911/Top_wo_Nerae___Top_wo_Nerae_2_Gattai_Movie This entry is for both the Gunbuster movie (Episode 1), and the Diebuster movie (Episode 2). Both movies are around 95 minutes, meaning the duration should be closer to that, rather than 47. Here's the runtimes from the Bandai Visual USA Blu-rays (which use the same discs as the Japanese Blu-rays). I got this by pressing "Select" on my PS3. Capsule Monsters references it never having aired in Japan on the main wiki page where it says "Network" and only lists 4Kids TV (an american tv channel) while every other season lists Japanese TV channels. You can then click the Capsule Monsters link to take you to that specific wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_Capsule_Monsters where it will tell you in the header it did not get released in Japan. You can also visit the Japanese wikipage and see that Capsule Monsters is excluded from their season count and only referenced in "Works outside of Japan" section. Here's a link to the Story page on the official site: http://www.konooto-anime.jp/story/ It is pretty hard for me to buy that the studio would be numbering the episodes from 1-26 if they were intended to be separate, sequential seasons. The MAL article I linked to in my original post says quite clearly this was scheduled to be a split-cours anime. To my understanding, the definition of a split cours anime is a series that is airing a single season broken into 2 cours - in other words, 2 13-week broadcast seasons not in sequence or 2 broadcast seasons with at least 1 season between them is another way to put it. As far as I can tell, whether or not a Season 2 is ever released for this series shouldn't be a reason to ignore the very obvious evidence that the studio created these 26 episodes to be seen as one complete season. That's also not a very reliable set of guidelines for maintaining the integrity of the MAL database, imo. It's a bit too fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants for my taste in reference materials. And how would you reference it - "our source for the title we've decided on here is based on the fact that this anime has not gotten a 2nd season green-lit yet." I doubt that would fly. I was just trying to help, though. Call it poopyscoopy season x, for all I really care, lolololol. It was a great show, if it gets a 2nd season, I'm all over it. |
