| MBDTF >>>> Late Registration > Dropout > Everything else POWER and Monster are some of Kanye's best songs in terms of both production and the actual rap performance. tbh MBDTF is the album that really solidified Kanye's legacy as an artist after his pop/autotuned 808's which sort of had people worried in the direction he was going in. |
| Yeezus > 808s > MBDTF > ye > Graduation > College Dropout > Late Registration > TLOP MBDTF and ye are interchangeable. Yeezus is underrated AF and MBDTF is overrated AF. TLOP is the only album that I don't care for, everything else is amazing. Kanye West is the single greatest and most influential rapper/hip hop artist of all time. | i'd have to listen to them again cause it's been a while. my favorite would probably be graduation or late registration. on college dropout some of the skits make the album feel bloated and a chore to get through at times and sometimes the songs themselves felt too basic. late registration i eventually got into more cause it felt alot more concise in comparison. 808's is almost unlistenable to me because of his vocals on it but street lights is one of the best songs he's ever made. mbdtf was a good but immensely overrated album. i barely remember much about yeezus. TLOP was aids. i don't even want to say more about it, it was straight garbage, i very rarely have been disappointed by albums i was looking forward to, but that shit was bad. i couldn't even bear listening to the "fixed" versions or w/e the fuck he was doing to it afterwards. i listened to ksg on release and it was mediocre. i still don't find it interesting beyond some superficial things it does, but the songs just don't really have that many interesting things going on where i'd regularly revisit it like i do with graduation, LR, etc. i'm not even going to bother listening to ye anytime soon cause his last few albums have just made me like him less. |

It also annoys me to find out when he hasn't written a lot of his stuff, even if he is open about it. But I'd have to disagree with your mention of the radio stations. kanye probably hasn't had a hit on the radio since graduation/808s and heartbreak era, and that was almost 10 years ago. He also always changes his style up every album - you can't tell me MBDTF, Yeezus or TLOP sound anywhere near similar. TBH if I didn't think his music was great I would probably hate him too lol |

| As I'm getting more into hip-hop, I've been trying to power through Kanye's work, and out of his first seven, my pick would have to go to Graduation (8.5/10), followed by Late Registration (8/10), 808s (7.5/10), TLOP (7.5/10), The College Dropout (7.5/10), MBDTF (6.5/10), and Yeezus (6/10). My favorite tracks from each are: - The College Dropout: Through the Wire, Last Call - Late Registration: Touch the Sky, Gold Digger, Late - Graduation: Flashing Lights, I Wonder, Homecoming - 808s: Paranoid, RoboCop, Coldest Winter - MBDTF: Devil in a New Dress, Blame Game, Lost in the World - Yeezus: Bound 2, - TLOP: Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1, Feedback, Waves, No More Parties in LA, Facts (Charlie Heat Version) among others. | I discovered Kanye at the time of MBDTF and he's still my favorite music artist at this day, and Dark Fantasy still my favorite song ever. I really love Graduation, Yeezus and Jesus is King but no album can or could make me vibe like MBDTF did and still does. |
