Why do girls' feelings change so rapidly in anime?

After watching some anime, I have a feeling I'm seeing this scenario quite often:

A guy and a girl get into a fight, and the girl gets really angry. Then the boy offers the girl something (usually some food), and suddenly the girl forgets about the fight and her anger and suddenly becomes very happy and may even start praising the guy.

Am I right that this situation happens quite often? What do you think about it; does it annoy you?

Well their mood changes very quickly in real life too. Usually for the worse.

Because that's actually how they do in real life, too. Most girls have emotional swings, due to because simply that they are girls. And yes, you are correct if you say that this happens often, because IT REALLY DOES HAPPEN WAY LOT MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE, especially in the case of tsunderes and such. LOL.

It may happen in real life. Hate can turn into love very quickly and if you are annoyed, the fault lies in the plot for being too common I guess.

As long as they keep the camera at lower angle, I'm fine.

I have lived in several share houses with girls and this is probably the thing I hate the most about anime, just how wrong girls seem to be written though it doesn't surprise me as the people who write the light novels and the manga would most likely have little to no contact with women outside of work.

That shit works in real life too you know.
>Have a fight with girlfriend or wife
>Buys her her favorite bag that costs $4000
>She forgives you, but you still have to sleep in the couch.
>No sex for a week too.

Mostly just for comedic effect.

Most of the times, the fight/argument is a comedic moment.

Because fiction tends to exacerbate reality and (young) people (or those lost in puberty)'s sentiments swing relatively easily and often in reality. It can be a cheap process but it 's very used in sub-fiction.

Nothing to do with female by the way. But since the question was about women in particular, I was expecting to see the classic hormonal or periods answer.

Are you implying that anyone in this world wouldn't be happy if someone gave them a food?

Just two words - gender stereotypes. "Boys are calm and girls are emotional."

Because anime is a medium that emphasize emotions more than any other. What would be consider a small deed irl, is somewhat over exaggerated in anime.

You know, where I came from there's a saying "man is the brain and woman is the heart" because people here believe that man usually use his brain (logic) while girls usually use their heart (feelings). So, if in real life girls' emotions change easily, it is more so in anime where everything can happen, right? XD

I'm starting to get embarrassed by my own forum signature line.. XD

Either this, lazy writing or a pandering moment that we can pander to. Then we go into a downward spiral to degeneracy.

There was this friend of mine who just couldn't hold a grudge towards anyone for too long because he had a really positive attitude.

Don't know about girls, sorry, i'm not in their head.

No I don't see it. 90% of the responses here are that they respond the same way IRL, and I'm not seeing it. In anime the way a fight ends is just too unrealistic, and I don't see a fight ending simply by giving a piece of food.

Unless someone can prove me wrong on this? Next time you get into a fight with someone, offer them food and tell me how they react.
