| So Kanata finally got to pick up the phone. I guess that totally makes episode 8 okay in hindsight, right? So finally some semblance of a plot. In the last two episodes. Amazing. I'm being generous by giving this a 3/5. |

| This is an insult to the military, a soldier has a duty to obey orders, this is next level bullshit. These girls acting like a bunch of 12 year old retarded children as they are meet the enemy a few hours and already making friend, this show is pissing me off and make me triggered multiple times now, I can't take it anymore. And of course this moe military show must have a genius loli scientist that has PTSD from her evil deed to get cheap attention and overdoing dramas. I swear to God, this show is an insult, it's so unrealistic, I don't even bother counting its flaws anymore. |

| Noel reminds me of Yuki Nagato from Haruhi. Suddenly the direction went into serious mode. The foreign language speaking is well spoken for Japanese. 3.3/5 |

| This was a decent episode, at least it was comprehensible unlike the last one. I think I get what they were trying to do here, but the overall execution was still messy, and my suspension of disbelief was already in shambles after the previous episode. They called the commander a devil and made him look obviously evil. After seeing that her supervising officer, Filicia, has essentially abandoned protocol, Kanata blatantly dropped any kind of pretense that she's trained army personnel, and frolicked between the edge of the cliff and the prisoner who is only loosely held in position by Noel. And of course, how could I forget the casual pandering with the boob grab and Filicia talking about grabbing said boob. There were some good ideas here, the dilemma of reporting the prisoner could have been made interesting, even Noel's grimdark backstory could have been something worthwhile given the proper treatment. But it's just kind of a pointless mess, in the end. Unlike a lot of people, I would have been totally down for a low-key slice of life show with a hint of war drama and episodic structure, the way show initially introduced itself, even though I did find the show more and more immature in its execution later on. I never asked for this baffling last-minute escalation. Alternatively, I would be all over the cheesy melodrama mixed with inappropriate comedy in these past two episodes, if the show had the style to pull it off, which it does not. "Love and friendship, all those feelings, just keep piling up" They're just mocking us at this point. |

Srsly one thing I dislike is, ppl picking their own judgement over a characters. They aren't you. Not everyone would do the same as you so don't except them to. They aren't your copies. |

I read somewhere that in time of war there are people that don't want peace I guess that 9th mobile corps are one of them |

| This was a worthless episode. It relies on some of the cheapest storytelling techniques in the book to create an emotional appeal to the audience that can't withstand even the thinnest of logic. The only thing that was pretty cool about this episode was that German was spoken as the foreign language. I don't speak it so I don't know how good it was, but the language barrier added an dimension that most stories don't have. The central problem with this episode is that the actions of the 1121st Platoon made no sense. They have one job; defend the boarder from enemy attack. They find a uniformed Roman scout who made an incursion into the boarder and this anime has the gall to present this situation as some moral quandary. An enemy scout is a good indicator that an attack is imminent, so it should be obvious they should call this in so their country can defend its land and its people from an attack. Falicia doesn't, and the only reason I can fathom is because the Roman scout is a girl and she knows how bad the interrogation would be. I guess Falicia thinks that she doesn't want to send this information because it would increase the chance of war, but if a scout has entered you're country by traveling through inhospitable land should be a good indicator war is coming whether they want it or not. The other problems of this episode can generally been lumped together as over exaggeration. Noel's panic attack due to her PTSD was extremely hokey. Panic attacks and PTSD are serious things, but the fact she had such a serious panic attack due to remembering what is probably the most significant moment of her life is ridiculous. There is no way she could have hid that kind of baggage for 6 months and 10 episodes. She would be a person with serious problems, and everyone would know it even if they don't know why. Everyone knows Felicia has problems even though she never suffered an attack as serious as Noel. I also find it unfortunate that they made the Colonel to appear as evil as possible in the shortest amount of time. He has evil eyes, an evil smile, a cocky laid back attitude, an evil reputation, used a weapon of mass destruction, and even caused a panic attack for poor Noel. It's jarring to see such a black-and-white character when everyone else is much more nuance. |

| So Noel was used by that Colonel as a mass murder creating machines. I really like the plot development if u ask me, but it's too late now. Too much episodes wasted on filler things like on waiting for a phone call, making a tour in the town or the annoying church kids. Why a bob grab in a supposedly serious scene? |
