| For the recommendations is there an assumption that you will give a review on the series after you complete it? If so then I'd like to sign up for that one because it sounds fun. |

With the button on the header, we're likely to get way more participants, and we've had trouble in previous years with having enough people at crucial times. @zombie_pegasus: Are you asking because you recall last year or did I leave a typo somewhere? Due to the high volume of users we expect this year, and the dismal turn out for the review feature last year (less than 50%), we'll either work it into something at the end or leave it for another event altogether. @Lisette98: If you want to participate, you need to sign-up in the Rec Edition thread (linked in the first post under "Sign-Up Threads!"). @dreamerofpluto: Glad to year your gift worked out well last year :) @THAFOOL: You don't volunteer to make gifts for users. Secret Santa is an exchange of gifts with a user you receive (semi-)randomly. The elves volunteer to help coordinate the event. If you want to make (and receive) a personalised recommendation, you should sign-up (linked in the first post under "Sign-Up Threads!"). @Kug3lis: Nope, it's an original image by Freeze-Ex. Apparently a bunch of the ornaments are from other series though. @Syranus: What don't you understand? @AnnaSartin, @JOELbedulla: You sign up via the links in the first post under "Sign-Up Threads!". @KimmyChii: We ask everyone to reconfirm their participation after the match-ups (within 48 hours) since some disappear. You have 7 days to make your gift. Please see the dates listed in both this thread and the sign-up thread. @ahsinam33: Yes. You make a gift for one user (chosen by us) and receive a gift from a different user. @Dudufranchi: A personalised recommendation is an anime/manga you choose specifically for a user, based on their likes and dislikes (not your own). So it's something that they haven't seen which you think they would like. Along with the series you choose, you write a couple of sentences explaining (without spoiling) why you chose this series for the user. @roboto56: Volunteers are elves which help coordinate both events. | Hopefully I'll actually get to participate this year. Last year I signed up for anime recs and I didn't get a single message about it. Felt pretty bummed out about it. It's something I would enjoy doing. And yes, as far as I can remember, it didn't break any criteria. Let's see if I actually get someone this year! |
