Hi Leah, that's really nice to hear, and very relatable! The last decade has also had me moving a lot for work, I've lived in 3 countries in that time frame, since 2018, crazy stuff. Finally settling down as much as I can in SoCal USA which is nice enough for now. Are you still finding yourself moving a lot or are you also somewhat settled, as much as anyone can be in this day and age.
Nice to hear you're tackling your gaming and anime backlog, very admirable, its something I can never really justify making the time for, I'm a big gamer so I always make time for that, but my steam backlog of 100+ games I never played will likely never get tackled, a reality I've accepted at this point lmao, especially since I like to keep up with new releases. I'm playing Clair Obscur atm, only just started that though, its quite fantastic. Are you playing anything atm?
In regards to anime, man, i just can't justify it, its so rare for me to set aside time for anime these days, as much as I would like to have the time to watch stuff. I was quite interested in this new show called Lazarus since its by a lot of the people behind Cowboy Bebop, but unsurprisingly I didn't start it when it began to air and then i never made time for it. For many years my eyes generally glaze over looking at newer airing anime, seems like the majority of things that come out are sequels these days so i always find it even more discouraging lmao. But I think my mistake, like video games, is trying to keep up with newer shows that have release-hype instead of focusing on older stuff, much I'm sure I haven't seen to this day. Ah self reflection.
Thanks again for your thoughts during the LA fires, it was a crazy time being so close to losing everything, I was quite fortunate. I've been all good now for a few months and things have returned to normal for me. Sorry for not getting back to ya sooner, I mainly just come on MAL on a fluke once in a while or if I'm getting the itch to watch anime (then repeat the process of looking through seasonal shows and losing interest lol). I'll make an effort to reply sooner if you get back to me, but no pressure.

Possibly a little bit. lol Turned out that I have had the original Gundam on pause for quite some time and a buddy wanted to watch some anime since we weren't feeling like gaming, so we watched the next episode from the original for me. Once that was over he mentioned the old animation was bothering him so we watched a few episodes of the newest Gundam show, which has at least some loose ties to the original. Then another friend of ours hopped on and we started a third Gundam series that two of us hadn't seen before. So yeah, it was a little crazy evening of switching around. Pretty sure that's the only time in a very long time that I watched episodes from three series in a day.

I'll find a rom-com or ecchi to watch soon enough I'm sure, and worst-case the new season of My Dress-Up Darling will quickly pull me back in. ^_^

Yeah, I'm going to slowly start adding mine back, even if it winds up being a lot of the same. I try to get a mix of character types in there too.

I hope you enjoy it, and maybe things will work out for us to watch a few episodes together as well. ^_^

What did you think of it so far? I was in the middle of doing FFVII:Remake in hard mode but stopped I was too slow going through it and now Rebirth came out so couldn't not play it lol.

Yeah OG being OG got us into it. They done it very well but it's hard to be OP like in the OG, there were too many minigames in Rebirth for me lol I don't plan on getting platinum at it would stress me out.

I should redo my favorites as well, especially since I'll be keeping the non-Supporter status for now. So many of the characters were great in Negima, and I need to try UQ Holder again.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it, and maybe we can stream some of ID once you get to that point. While I think it's still enjoyable, the first season's computer graphics show their age, but I want to say they improved each season by a noticeable amount. I just had to watch one of my favorite scenes from my youth again thinking about it. lol

I started a new job recently and I'm planning a holiday trip to London in July... otherwise honestly not much new to report! How are you? What are you up to? Catch me up!

The new profile pics look great! Did you update your favorites recently as well? Tatsumiya quickly became one I enjoyed seeing a lot more of too throughout the series.

I hope MF Ghost has been good! I still need to wrap up the Initial D series then give that one a go.
