Dekisokonai to Yobareta Motoeiyuu wa Jikka kara Tsuihou sareta node Sukikatte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita

This is the kind of show you didn't know you needed. Perfect background show for whatever you're doing.

Typical of Isekai Treasure (Call me vanilla I love these shows 😂) the plot is always the same, the titles are an essay, and you forget them one week after the season's over.

*HOWEVER*

When you're working full time and trying to do a Master's degree, you don't have a ton of time. This is the type of show you can make your dinner to, fold laundry to and even work on assignments to because you can glance away for like 2-3 mins at a time and not miss anything ... with the occasional 10 second rewind because you heard a loud noise.

This is an anime of convenience and it gets a 7 for being so simple I can look away to be a responsible adult and come back and still know what's going on.

Don't let the low score of people who are starved of intense stimuli try to gaslight you into thinking that watching a certain Austrian Painter crochet a sweater would be more entertaining than this. It's worth a watch for the simple folk

Dekisokonai is isekai.

It is the genre reduced down to its most basic parts, it is the generic. There is almost nothing more to say about it. If you need the anime equivalent of fast food this is it. Everything about it is pretty much in the just hovering in the passing grade territory, a big old C- of show.

High points: an almost accidental story about the need to release from grief and revenge by embracing the freedom of "failure" (although in this show failure means being god-tier, it doesn't make sense, it's not supposed to, it's isekai.)

Low points: it doesn't have any, it's flat, ... planed down to the most basic of basic.

I don't usually write reviews for anime on MAL but this anime is so awful I felt compelled to warn potential viewers about how awful this show is and to stay very very very far away.

Every season, I watch most trash isekai anime that air because it's a good way to pass the time and it's somewhat of a guilty pleasure so I decided to watch this one. That was a terrible mistake a waste of time. I got through 5 episodes and could not keep going. This anime has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOING FOR IT. I'll break it down for you:

- Overall plot: The plot ... makes ZERO sense. There are glaring plot holes left and right that are getting addressed and the story just seems to progress as if nothing were wrong. A kindergartner could come up with a more coherent plot than this anime. The premise is fine but people / the characters seem to have no ability for rational thinking whatsoever

- Character development: Every single character in this show is laughably one dimensional. The MC is as plain as they come. There are no good supporting characters and even the antagonists are incredibly boring and nonsensical. There are some very very poor attempts at character development but it's really just your poorly executed copy paste of "I had a tough childhood"

- Animation quality: The animation straight up looks like it was animated for a high school film project by a bunch of amateur teenagers. The animation is extremely choppy, the art quality is not good and there are more stills here than my grandma's photo scrapbook

All in all, please stay away and save yourself some brain damage
