Let's be honest here age is just a number, you're only old if you let yourself think you're old.

Well your body starts to degrade around 30+ and testosterone starts going down so... yeah not really looking forward to that.

I usually call someone old man or women when they look about their 70s.
Well to me, being a high school graduate would make me old..

I just turned 18 so I'd say 80 is old. I'd like to die if I ever become blind from getting old.

Once you hit 40, you're automatically considered "old" in my book. But this old isn't the same as old, which is what I consider someone to be when they're past 65.

100+ is basically drop dead ancient.

I see people as "old" after around the age of 50, but I would probably feel old after I hit like 35.

Fifty. Your hair starts turning grey and your skin starts sagging by that point.

The people here who are like 19 or 20 and complain that they're getting "old" really need some perspective on life. You're considered young until you get to the end of your twenties (i.e. 28 onwards). And even after that, you do not immediately jump from being young to being old. The thirties are just normal adulthood.

I've already said this many times. 30. That is when you start getting old them soon the wrinkles and grey hairs then Gg. Tbh I wish I would die at 29. I'm already in my mid life crisis and get more depressed every day that goes by knowing that I'm gonna hit the big 30.

I already feel ancient especially seeing people younger then me.

If you have really bad genetics, maybe. Nobody I know has looked like an old person at the age of 40.

I've always had parents who are older than the average kid my age's parents, my dad being in his sixties and my mom being in her fifties. I think anything below 50 isn't really "old". I consider my parents to be old compared to other people's 40-year-old parents. I guess early forties and younger isn't very old yet.

I understand your concern, and I guess I am at a point where you wouldn't want to end up with. I am 28, and still a Phd student. Haven't even started working at a university yet.

Plus, the last six years passed in the blink of an eye. If you have career goals like I did, it is inevitable.

It is depressing raally. I am no different than I was at 22 or 19 for that matter. (psychologically, that is). Only the years passed :)

Old is my age + 4. There is no magic break between young and old. You'll never get "there", but at some point you realize you're far from your point of departure as well. It really depends on how others acknowledge you. All the 18 year olds in college feel that 22-24 is old. All the 20 year olds feel 25 is old. All the 24 year olds feel 28+ is old. The late twenties feel the 30s are old. Mid 30s feel 40s are old. And so on. It never ends.

Very interesting to see that a lot of people think/feel that 25-30 is old.
Why do you feel old at 25/26/27 ? What have you done till in your life that make you feel this ?
Im 27 now, but finally at the where the fun starts, up until now just building yourself: learning, career, cash, house, cars, etc.
30-40 is a very young men in my opinion.

i can relate in some sense to you OP ~~

since i watched 13 going on 30 when i was like 11? i realised that 30 is pretty old to me. i know "old" is relative and my opinion of old is considered pretty young to many but i don't know. i suppose 30 is the age that i've always associated with adults who've started to actually act like adults - doing taxes on your own, calling a plumber if something starts leaking (instead of diy-ing)... that kind of stuff.

it doesn't help that i'm turning 22 in a couple of months - i forget that i'm getting old and then my mother starts asking about when i'll get a serious boyfriend and i start freaking out because i still feel (and look) like i'm 16 years old. i don't know when all these years creeped up on me and i'm started to wonder if i'll ever accomplish any of the things i'd always hoped i would before i hit 30.

While my family likes the phrase "Old is ten years above your current age", I actually would lay out a certain time.
60, or at least sometime in one's 60's. That's when mid-life crisis usually concludes, and people become so set in their ways that they refuse to change and adapt to the changing times anymore.

I think that's difficult to say. Depending on what you plan to do in your life, different ages can be counted as old. I don't know about the things you saw and experienced so far that 30 might sound old to you, but not to everyone else. But don't forget that you can do all the things you want no matter how old you are. Don't think so much, don't play over and over all the reasons in your head why you can't or shouldn't. Just do it!

I consider people 70+ as old, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they can't have any fun in life. It surely depends on your whole lifestyle, but there are people who can enjoy life despite their high age. I'm lucky to know such ;)

I think it's always 15-20 years about what age you are. I'd consider about 45+ to be old

but being "old" shouldn't stop anybody from doing things they wanna do unless it's something that requires years amount of time like schooling, then you're fucked, but who cares. I don't bat an eyelash when I see 60 year olds in my intro classes

I'd say 45-50+ is old or at least getting there, depending on the persons health. I know some 40 year olds who still look 30 and act it.

It's not really age so much as it is when people start acting old.

I'd say 50+ though
