Mm, Ashura and Indra's big fight this episode. Surprisingly though, I think that part was is decent with the high level techniques used.

The mangeko sharingan and Susanno being some of the more noticeable techniques. Rasengan too.

Alright this episode wraps up the Sage's and his sons backstory. Pretty nice, some new cool moves, like that younger brother's ball of Rasengan full of Rasengans and older brother's teleportation lightning.

And that damp preview, again some pre shippuden filler about Kakashi's face.

It's clear that Pierrot is going to end this series at least at episode 480. They are running out of material and add these fillers to reach eps 480. You know, Naruto had 220 episodes. Add it to 480 and bam! 700 episodes of Naruto anime as a whole like the manga.

That doesn't make sense at all, they could adapt the manga until the end if they want to end it.
They aren't going to end Naruto this year, I have my hopes for next year and another big hope that Bleach will take his place.

The episode in itself was quite decent.

Indra's MS design seemed very similar to Sasuke's .
The fight was okay, Seemed to me like they just redesigned Naruto and Sasuke's abilities for it. The rasengan's, Then the blue chakra hands were very reminiscent of Naruto's nine tails form.

I was glad that the fillers would end today and we'd be going back to canon again, But no Pierrot just has to put in more fillers to drag Naruto for ever. Do they actually make money out of dragging the show with fillers?

I only watched the current fillers since they seemed kinda interesting with all the backstories and ninshu history, I guess I'll stall the show now until canon resumes (Whenever that is).

According to the schedule it should be the last one. It's supposedly based on a chapter Kishi drew? Apparently it's going to show Kakashi's actual face, but I guess we'll see if that part ends up being true or not.

indra: same susanoo as sasuke, same mangekyo design, same mangekyo abilities (amaterasu was something special for itachi and sasuke..), chidori just like sasuke (........)
ashura: wind style just like naruto, rasengan (WTF minato invented that) and mokuton (that's the biggest BS right there, and hashirama invented the 1000 palms technique)
Conclusion: Pierrot is lazy & uncreative asf
I liked these filler when it focused on kaguya, but now it's RIDICULOUS
BTW, that battle was so stupid hagoromo could have taken him out easily with his rinnegan and how could everyone perform jutsu like that lol..

& next week... *sigh*

It's was intresting fillers about the background story of sage six paths but they got to ruin by adding new fillers of part 1 .....like wth they part 1 is over no need to go back to the time when they are young because there is no story at there the can be explained .
I'm afraid if this goes on longer it will end up in the same row as bleach 😑

This isn't really fillers, they adapt a special chapter by Kishimoto of the last databook.

I thought the episode itself was ok but the way it was shown wasn't all that interesting. It could have been better if the fight between Indra and Asura had been a little longer and more action packed instead of short and predictable.

there are a couple of things I don't understand
1.Ashura received the power from the sage of six path himself. Would he be stronger than Indara? Ashura need to combine all the other people to defeat his brother. This is not make sense. The power of six path alone should done the job.
2.Hagoromo blame that indara for the village fighting over the well. Ashura did start the well by himself. And he got lucky that village choose to help him. And they did not fight over it because have good personality not ashura doing. This a very silly compared between the two son.
3.This very similar to naruto vs sasuke accept this is indara vs team ashura

It's funny how we had to wait 2 weeks to see a decision everyone already knew about. Anyway, that fight was pretty dumb lol. It was literally a Madara-Hashirama/Naruto-Sasuke fight but with Indra and Ashura instead. They even had pretty much the same techniques as their reincarnates: Chidori, Susanoo, the same Mangekyo pattern; wind style, Rasengan (which shouldn't even exist because Minato created it), that wood style technique (again, shouldn't exist because Hashirama created it). This is what frustrates me about fillers, they sometimes end up messing up the main storyline. And now we get another filler next week........

Good episode. I only have problems with a few things:

- Indra's MS being the same like Sasuke's MS
- them stealing stuff from Naruto's Rasengan, Amaterasu, Wood Budda and Sasuke's Perfect Susanoo
- Hashirama's 1000-hand Buddah able to solo Indra's Perfect Susanoo with ease

This means that if Hashirama fought with Indra, Hashirama would kick his ass?

I still don't get the whole reason behind Indra's corruption, Zetsu was just laughing or w/e he was doing in the background, then there's the Sharingan. How did the Sharingan corrupt him >_>

I completely agree with you and Soufou27's post. All those jutsus were thrown in instantly without any training or sideeffects.

While I share everyone's frustration regarding the lack of canon and never-ending fillers, next week's ep is arguably a canon as it's based on an omake chapter kishi drew long ago, rather than a random filler. It's just unfortunate and a very stupid idea that pierrot decided to throw it in now of all times. Otherwise, assuming they don't f**k it up like they did with Itachi's novels, it should be quite amusing and I recommend people to look forward to it (I don't want to spoil what happens but an interesting character appears :).

yeah I guess. also, in the series hagormo was seen as a legend/god but he actually seemed weak here. he's supposed to have invented all the jutsus in the world, we didn't see him get his weapons (treasured tools)

I was surprised that he seemed so useless as well. The 3rd Hokage was pretty old, and still pretty strong.

No not at all. You're right. But I mean that it's not just an useless filler. It's actually directly from Kishimoto's work. Ofcourse it is completely out of place, but atleast not a filler.

Seems like the filler we are getting next week is indeed based on the original Naruto episode 101 titled Gotta See! Gotta Know! Kakashi-Sensei's True Face!, but it could also add new content from Kishimoto's manga chapter 700.2.

What do you all think?

It would had been much better if Indra had lost faith in relying on the people due their stupidity, selfishness, and constant conflicts of interest. Fed up with the inefficiency and stagnation cause by their disagreements, he found it much better to just have a single powerful, authoritative, and wise ruler who decides and does everything.

This would be opposed to Indra and Hagoromo's ideology that a good leader is one who can get people to look past their differences or compromise and work together.

This would had made it a much more thoughtful conflict of philosophy and ideology, where there are merits to the argument on both sides.

All of these people being pissed off over "recreating Naruto and Sasuke's techniques, for this fight," when it was even shown in a panel of the manga, that Indra and Ashura both knew the jutsu, long before Naruto and Sasuke were even though of. Then again, they might be anime-only people, so...

I haven't seen the episode yet, so I have to ask: was there a new version of opening 19, or not?

Indra = Sasuke, Ashura = Naruto, and Hogoromo = Sakura. . . But in all seriousness (and I know it's specifically about and focused towards Ashura and Indra), they nerfed the living hell out of Hogoromo. He could and should of literally stopped Indra if he was able to fight his mother for months with no break..... That's the only thing I was thinking literally for the whole episode lol. Legitimately as if Sakura is a reincarnation of this Hogoromo (she inherited his uselessness this episode).
