I just have the first couple of eps to go by but I really don't see what separates CB's dub from others. I'm not denying the existence of good dubs but I think the limited amount of VAs that work with anime don't have much talent. FF XII is a game that has a better dub than sub and that's probs because they have a higher budget, the guy voicing Balthier for example has worked in both cinema and theatre. cowboy bebop's dub is so reverred cause of how much chemistry the cast has and especially steve blums performance to separate the cool and calm spike from the over the top goofy spike which just isnt there in the original cast. The show blends the more down to earth moments when the show gets serious with the slapstick cartoony moments better and all things considered it winds up being more natural feeling hence why its considered to fit the characters better since it gives spike more range of emotions than the japanese actor does, i love his japanese VA especially cause hes akiyama but him in serious mode vs goofy mode is barely different and that leads to weakening some moments. |

| this is still the fastest we have ever gotten a tales in the west, zestiria was announced to release in the west right from the announcement and that took 10 fucking months past release. FFXV will keep my occupied throughout most of september and october anyway. I will wind up quiting /v/ by the time it comes out though to avoid spoilers for that and other games as well as alot of reasons since /v/ is a mess and the good no longer outweighs the bad. |
