Don't know if this has been done yet but whatever, leave the mods up to that....

Of course, it depends on what the opening is, for stuff like Shakugan no Shana II or Lucky Star, yes, I will always watch the opening because the song and the animation are awesome. For some other shows however, like Rozen Maiden, I could care less...

Same with endings, although I tend to skip endings more than openings.

Not usually, unless I really love the opening song and animation. If I'm marathoning episodes, I don't even bother with OPs/EDs/previews.

When normally watching episodes, I always watch the OP and atleast the first half of the ED. If I marathon a series, I usually start skipping the OP and ED after the 5th episode in a row.

I really do enjoy the OP and EDs. A couple times, I've even picked up a series because of the OP or ED song. Only in a few cases (like Samurai Champloo or Cowboy Bebop) have I regularly skipped the OP because it actively annoyed me.

Usually, when I first start a show, I'll watch the OP/ED just to, you know, see how it is. Then depending on whether I like it or not, I might watch it every episode after that. Sometimes though, especially for endings, I'm just too damn impatient and I want to watch the next episode so I end up skipping them x_x

Me too! When it was my first time to watch the series i will watch the opening and ending song even if its not good. But when i like it i always watch or hear it..

It really depends on the show and song for me.

Most shows i would watch every new op/ed the first time and then skip them until the last episode where i would watch it.

Then there are some shows, like Shakugan no Shana II, where I like the op and will sometimes watch it, but will skip it if I'm excited and want to hurry to watch the episode.

And then there are those few shows, like Kimi Kiss Pure Rouge where I will watch it every time.

I watch the opening first few times to see if I like it. If not I normally skip it.

Same with ending, but I check if there is some skit or something on the end (shinigami illustrated style) since I try and avoid the previews for the next episode.

Usually skip it if I'm watching a show in one go, but weekly then yeah I'll watch it all.
For stuff where it's different for every episode like Lucky Star then I'll sit through it regardless.

When first watching a show I'll check them out, with my finger on the skip button. If I like the songs, I'll listen to 'em through for the first ep, then maybe once or twice through the series, unless I really like it (very rare.) in which case I won't skip.

But 98% of the time I skip OPs/EDs entirely.

The question is too broad for me to answer. There are hundreds of shows I've watched and they have different opening and ending. It depends. First off, if I like the song/music, I let it play or otherwise skip it. If it's good, it feels like a waste when I skip it. Second, when I marathon show most of the time I skip the ending and then opening so it won't break the mood. :)

I like watching the OP and ED sequences, mostly because music is very important to me when I watch anime. I skip it sometimes when I'm in a hurry though..

OP: Always with Ep. 1 and usually onward. Near the end, I'll start skipping them.
ED: Always with Ep. 1 and usually I'll skip it after that unless it's really good, which is why I almost never see next episode previews.

I always watch the OP/EDs at least once, but then I usually skip them. If I like the songs, I'd rather just get the soundtrack than sit there and watch OP/EDs with every episode.

Ditto. I'll sit through them sometimes, like if I'm fiddling with something on the net or I just feel like it, but most of the time I skip anything that isn't new - recaps and previews and such as well.

I always watch the OP or ED even if I hate them. If I watched the opening and then some of the episode, but had to stop it for whatever reason, then I'll skip the opening when I start it over. But I have ocd so if I skip the OP or ED then it bothers me and I can't really enjoy it.

I almost always watch the OP unless I really dislike it (ie, Love Hina). The ED can go either way. If it doesn't tickle my fancy after one or two hearings, I tend to skip it. Sometimes halfway through the series I'll listen to it more, though. Of course, that's all nil if I love the ED. :P

Same here. I tend to watch them at the first and last episodes of a marathon and skip them for the rest.

I usually watch the intro and ending for the first episode. Then, after that depending on if the last episode left me with a huge cliffhanger determines whether I skip the intro. I usually always skip the end unless if I really like the song.

If I watch 1 episode weekly when it comes out, I'll always watch it. If marathoning I watch it the first ep then skip it throughout unless there's a new opening and...the cycle continues.

I'll always watch them both unless I really, really dislike the accompanying song; and that only happens very rarely (Shigofumi's OP is a good recent example though; I do not like Ali Project at all, their music grates on my ears like nothing I've heard before)

If I really like an anime I will groove along to them, but if doing marathons which is usually my style it gets really old after about 10 episodes. Plus saves time. there are certain ones that i can't resist watching though, even well after the finale.

I usually skip through openings and endings when my mouse is close by, if I'm watching on my TV and I'm too lazy, I'll just watch them. If I'm sitting at my computer, I'll either skip them or check forums and such while the ending, previews and the next opening plays and continue watching when the next episode starts playing. It all depends on how much I like the opening or ending as well, or if in some cases the ending is sometimes different(Lucky Star for example) or if there is some sort of continuation of the anime after the ending(I think Pani Poni Dash did this, as well as slightly different endings)...

80% of the time i watch the opening, unless i really dont like it, or its the end of the series / a climactic part of the show. then i'll skip it and hury to the episode , unless its a series that has an amazing opening.

endings i skip when i'm marathoning, or i let it play in the background while i go on internet explorer. i never see episode previews (unless im following a weekly show) of course if the ending is really good i'll watch it. but most of the time i dont even sit through the ending once.

It really just depends on the anime. A lot of openings are good but some endings bite. I don't know why but I like watching the Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu themes. They really bring in the mood and make you want to watch the anime. The Fullmetal Alchemist themes are also brilliant and I like watching them, but if the themes bite then I just skip them and head to the show. But some themes like the one piece 7th theme is long so I skip past it. So, for me, it just depends on the theme.

I always watch them the first time, then when the next episode comes around I do whichever I feel like at the moment, which is usually skipping. When I'm watching full DVDs, I usually just watch the OP of the first episode on the disc and the ED on the last.

oh, these little earthquakes
