Probably one of the saddest parts of the game... though it seems a lot more sad in the anime..... why...?

It was pretty sad that Arietta died, but at least then she was finally happy with Ion.

I was never too fond of Anise, but now I hate her. >:(

Arietta always seemed like an interesting character, but didn't have much screentime up until now... I had hoped for Ion to return to her "after everything is over", so I was already disappointed that Ion died before saving Arietta from her loneliness. And now the "heroes" kill the poor girl...
I don't care for those "in dead united" stuff... Even if Arietta had some nice illusions of Ion while dying, her fate was just too cruel. I actually cried... :(

her death was weird, she should have been KO'ed, not dead....
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

I'm glad there was finally a fight that lasted longer then one minute, but the end result was really sad, I didn't expect her to die like that.

I felt more emotion for Arietta then Anise (she is still an annoying brat).

I didn't liked the beggining of the episode, but whatever. Well, that "poor girl" wasn't so innocent un first place, because SHE wantd to kill Anise first! So, she's guilty for her own idiotic death! Aww, don't start crying for that foolish girl...

I can't believe they killed my favorite character.
I just adore her voice as she sounds like she is always yelling.

Arietta got screwed over the entire show, first they destroy her country, then her liger mother is killed, and then master ion is dies. At the very least she wasnt even able to get revenge for anyone and dies like she the bad guy...pure B.S

Arietta was one of the more enjoyable characters of the show wish she had not died hell i would have preferred anyone else dieing over her death. Would have been better to play it off has perhaps she broke her lower back and was paralyzed from the waist down.

yeah this episode was pretty good.

Things are finally moving into motion, as dist reveals that he was manipulating mohs the entire time. Though this wasn't revealed nearly as much as it was in the game. But it became apparent when dist used the fonstone on mohs to mutate him into a monster. Also there was hints towards this back in the ortean cavnern, when jade found the machines that dist was working on. This was actually another anime cut scene in the game if i remember right and a pretty historical moment in the story. When the rising of aldurent took place. Also i didn't really care for mohs VA's his monster va in the game was much greater imo. Now the whole world knows whats happening because of mohs speech.

The events regarding anise and arieata's confortation. Her death in the anime was actually much more dramatic then it was in the game thats for sure. What a surprise. I liked arrieata to, she was one character that has been manipulated by mohs and van for so long and she lost everything that is important to her. Anise can go jump off a cliff as far as im concerned. All she does is complain all the time, calling arieta gloomieta, for siding with van and trying to get into heated battles with her and and yet anise is stupid enough to actually side with mohs. I mean come on. I am speaking in terms of the story for both the game and anime. She was my least favorite character.

For once they actually had a pretty decent battle in the anime showing off one of the Anise's strongest tech attack.

Oh and there is one thing that they never really established about anise in the anime. Is she was obsessed with money, she wanted to be rich all the time, and to some points in the game, she would take money over friendship and certain things like that, that i remember.

Still don't get how a stuffed teddy bear edited out by dist could beat
a tiger or liger that clearly had claws that could shred it to pieces.

>Arietta's country is destroyed.
>Ligers and then Ion saves her and becomes her sole reason to live.
>Anise takes Ion from her (it appears that way to Arietta anyway)
>Luke and co. kill Arietta's mother.
>Anise kills Ion (not to mention being the cause of the whole war and all the shit that's going on with Mohs)
>Anise tells Gloomieta to gtfo.
>Luke and co. kill Arietta and her last remaining family.

Well. F*** this s***, what were the scriptwriters smoking when they wrote this crap?

Okay, I was only half paying attention for the whole show until now. I checked out the game a bit, since I'm not familiar with it, and I watched the part of the game this episode animated. I'll say this:

As a game, from what I've seen, even though you, as the player, are essentially killing Arietta, you can't help but feel disconnected once you receive your EXP and loot. Though you're constantly killing throughout the game actually, you're also leveling up, so it almost seems like you're supposed to continue on killing, even though it's technically not right.

I'm impressed by this episode for one reason: nothing was gained from all this. It just continues the cycle of vengeance, if Largo's words are to be believed. The episode was definitely heavy-handed, as the show has been thus far, but alright. My attention has been grabbed, now I'm curious as to where this show is going to go next.

And so the duel between lolis comes to a close. Two really sad episodes back to back, Arietta just couldn't get a break. She was always angry and troubled, getting some of her backstory really shed light on that. I think her death was the first time she ever smiled in this show.

Sigh.... at first I didn't dislike Anise all that much despite the betrayal.
But laying your hands on little poor loli Arietta is a taboo! Noooo... why such a bad end.
Her joy together with the ligers and Ion was so short lived and died so young. *sobs*
I loved the way she speaks and scream.. so cute.
Never expected a scene like this right now.
She got punched to death. T^T

What a tragic ending for Arietta, her life turned unfortunate as soon as she was born. Poor girl. The Anime made the scene a lot more emotional than that in the game. Just before she passed on, Arietta saw her mother and her precious Ion reaching out to her. Such a bittersweet ending to the fragile little girl. She is one of the reasons why I feel annoyed by Anise. That hypocritical, greedy, selfish brat.

Mohs new transformation showcases how ugly and rotten he is. The irony is not missed here.

Ok but like how she died all the other characters have taken way more dmg than her before and she just straight up croaks from being ora ora a lil. Did the anime leave out something about her body being fragile (even for a little kids one) or what?

@addictoholic

I hope it's not just me that feels Arietta got the short end of the stick, I couldn't stand Anise throughout the series and now that she killed Arietta I hate her even more.

Anise should have let her parents fix their own debt instead of betraying her friends, killing god only knows how many hundreds of people due to her "informing" and being a collaborator. Never thinking of the greater good. And then killing innocent animals.

I am kind of angry at the main party for interfering also, that was a Luke, Tear, Guy, Natalia + Anise vs. Arietta's friendly beasts that all got wiped out. In contrast Largo kept his word and didn't interfere, showing way more honor than the "hero" (bully) party. Grrr. Crap like that is why Tigers are slowly going extinct, damn those bastards.
