Whenever a couple is almost kissing after 26 episodes and final credits...

And screen gets folded into something else, either ending, or annoying loli, or random moment. Urgh.

And basically this is what generally annoys me. I can't remember any specific scene.

Oh yea, in general, when powerless people or something tries to do something brave or stuff. I can't really describe it. Like someone powerful gets injured and then the weakling goes up and tries to defend it (i usually hate it when a male does it, female ok).

Like kind of an example would be fate/stay night

Now and Then felt somewhat like a children's story. It had a simplistic charm to it, I thought. The art style, lack of information concerning Lala-Ru's origin and time travel, the villain's childish demeanor and the protagonist's innocence contributed to the atmosphere. His insights weren't as important as the world around him. I think the reason many dislike the show is because they watch it expecting the realism or logic of a regular seinen.

Well, I saw the villains behaviour more as a sign of some psychosis than necessarily a childish trait.
And with the rape and child soldiers it didn't really strike me as being aimed at children.

Hence it being seinen.

You're right, something like "exceedingly eccentric" would have been more fitting. I concentrated too much on the point of my statement.

I didn't say it was aimed at children. I said it had features reminiscent of a children's story, the same way Kino's Journey had simplified visuals and a talking bike but also mature themes like genocide.

Doesn't need a spoiler, since it's purely due to the new company changing practically everything for the worse. At least it still followed the manga story to some degree...
