I'm using usagi drop for non-romantic relationships too, but if you want other suggestions
-Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
-Cowboy Bebop
-Shirobako
-Hellsing Ultimate

I was going to use Usagi Drop for the "anime with a demograph that doesn't apply to you", but I think I'm going to switch it to non-romantic relationships.

Time to look through Josei/ Shoujou animes to fill that slot in then.. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is an option (Josei), but it's currently airing and I'm not sure how much I'd like it.

I've only watch the first episode (though it was nearly an hour long) damn that is some fine anime. It looks to be a damn fine character study.

Try Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, Oregairu, Gate (although it is ongoing), or Charlotte. Not exactly sure what is considered too well known, though.

Not really. I'd rather keep up with the Winter season anime, since I was already going to watch some of them even without the challenge and it's easier than watching an already finished series from scratch. It's not like you can't watch anime outside the challenge, either. The challenge doesn't see what "fits" better, so I think it's all about the enjoyment.

You can always change your decision later if you want. Even if you complete one category, you can either leave it as it is or change it with another anime you watched later, because it won't affect anything.

I am pretty sure that the challenges work with any anime type (OVA, ONA, etc.) unless it specifically says to watch an OVA or ONA or something like that.

The cour challenge is one of the three challenges that requires a specific type of anime, in this case "TV". We will not count the Angel Beats! Specials towards the challenge even though it aired over 18 cours because it is only two episodes long and did not follow a regular airing schedule. Hetalia did follow a more similar airing schedule to standard TV anime, but it is not a five cour anime because it isn't a TV series. Irregular schedules like Cardcaptor Sakura and Princess Tutu are acceptable because they are TV series. If the anime does not list a season in which it premiered then it does not count as having cours.

Ok so I can't restart an anime that I was watching in 2015 to use for the three cour anime challenge thing. Like can I watch it back from the beginning? Would that count?

If I can't, then can someone please give me some three-cour anime.''

Would Food Wars! be considered a food anime?

And if possible, does anyone know any anime that feature a brown haired protagonist?

I'm pretty sure you can't rewatch (except for the rewatching challenge).

Death Note is 3-cour.

Food Wars is about cooking so it's a food anime.

Brown haired protagonist: Danganronpa, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, Working, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun

Since the majority of anime have teenagers as the main cast this challenge set has given the challenges of "watch an anime with a younger than average cast" and "watch an anime with an older than average cast". If you use "watch an ordinary anime" for either of the two challenges then you aren't trying very hard. There are plenty of anime with middle school characters and a lot of shoujo anime use elementary school characters so there's no legit reason to avoid following the listed requirements.

The challenges are written objectively as too cause as little confusion as possible. It's usually obvious what the subjective wording of the challenge would be ("Watch an anime with one/two/three cours or more" -> "Watch a long anime", "Watch an anime with children as the main cast" -> "Watch an anime with a younger cast than your standard high school based anime", ect.). It shouldn't be too hard to figure these out, but if you need translations in order to complete the challenges correctly I could provide them for you (I'm sorry if I sound rude).

Min of 34 and max of 40? That doesn't give much leeway at all. Death Note is 37 episodes (three cour) and Katanagatari is 12 episodes (four cour). Princess Tutu is four cour with 38 episodes if you're interested in dark magical girl anime. Two thirds of the episodes are half-length so it's really not that long (many providers will play it as 26 parts).

Some options:
Mononoke Hime
Nodame Cantabile
Mushishi
Baccano!
Samurai Champloo
Lovely★Complex

To your question, go with the genre you like the least. For more help I added your name to http://graph.anime.plus/. here is a breakdown of your favorite genre. Looks like a safe bet would be to watch Horror or Ecchi as one you "dislike"

For the recommendation try Tokyo Godfathers. It's a movie. If you prefer a TV series just ask again.

For the less than 25K members use Yami Shibai. Right now is at 23K members.

A question: for "Watch an anime with a target demographic that can apply to you", can I use Josei or it must be Shoujo?
As I recall, Shoujo is targeted for girls in high school and below so being a 19-year-old and 20 later this year, it seems like it doesn't fit well.

Not really. Hetalia Axis Powers CAN be used since it's 52 episodes (short, yes) long. Similar to what a 3-cour anime is. It's valid since all the episodes are in a single entry. It doesn't have to be a TV serie since any type can be used.

Maaya Sakamoto (Shinobu) dubs Ryougi Shiki, the main character of Kara no Kyoukai movie series, which is pretty good and is part of the Nasuverse along with Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime and some other works.
