| The change of tone in this chapter was quite jarring. Having said that, I'm happy we got to see Thorkell again. I wonder what his role will be in the story from now on? |

As someone who's been somewhat disappointed by the lack of good fights since he became a slave, there's nothing I would like more, but... do you think it will really be a lot of fighting now that Thorfinn is kind of a "love and peace" guy ? |

On his journey to Vinland he's going to understand that fighting is necessary in order to survive; this chapter hinted at him realising that through his dialogue w/Einar.
