Like against Kuraido he had to wait until Kuraido was out of stamina, if Kuraido wouldn't have ran out out of stamina Ikki's attack wouldn't have worked. Ikki's power grows stronger as time goes by in fight. He learns his enemies attacks and every time he's attacked he grows stronger. |
| Awesome episode, enjoyed the little backstory at the beginning and loved the fight between Ikki and Kuraudo. Both were crazy good and made some crazy action. | This episode in a word: epic. Shit that fight was INTENSE. Loved the moral and respect towards swordsmanship displayed during this episode; it was very tasteful. Was the Sword Eater just hanging out in that dojo for the last two years waiting for someone to come and kick his ass or what? |

| What a crazy intense fight! Ikki's toughest opponent yet, and he was really enjoying his battle grinning like a madman because he found a very formidable foe to fight against. I really enjoyed this episode. :) And it's case closed for Ayatsuji's case. |
| Great episode, I was really looking forward to see the fight between Ikki and Sword Eater, what a great fight, but felt that some times one unnecessary darkness took account of the screen, yet the action was very good, I was excited about the battle But this gentle personality of Ikki really annoys me a bit, not knowing deny people and think about helping everyone, this arrogant attitude still do much harm to him, especially in this next arc, many battles and suffering are to ahead, and I look forward to continue watching this adaptation .. |

| This Ayatsuji dojo problem reminded me of both Rurouni Kenshin and Bleach. Kuroudo = Renji + Kenpachi from Bleach? Ayatsuji itto-ryu = Kamiya-Kasshin ryu from Rurouni Kenshin. There was also X-shaped wound in Ikki's body. Great episode for reminding me of two great anime I really like~ |

| It was interesting that the anime changed how Ikki defended against Sword Eater. In the manga, he gripped Intetsu by the middle of the blade, making an improvised staff. I was hoping the anime would show that instead. It would've looked cooler, too =/ |
| The whole fight between Ikki and Kurado was great. Kurado's Orochimaru did remind me of Zabimaru as well. Ikki smiling like a real badass was really cool; he was enjoying himself fighting a really strong opponent. The transition to black and white was perfect. Ikki was able to use Ten-i-muho thanks to his Blade Steal ability. Glad to see that Ayatsuji got her dojo back and her father is conscious now. Stella got embarrassed when Shizuku and Akice appeared and she started having a thumb wrestle with Ikki; that was cute yet funny. xD Can't wait for the next arc~ 5/5 |

| So.........can somebody tell me where the hell is the so called "asspull" that people kept on complaining about on episode 7s thread? This was a FAIR fight, from beginning to end. Also Ikki learned the final technique out of watching Ayase, or so it is stated like. Where is the asspull on that? '-' Ok charging with a sword may not be the most orthodox technique in the world, but it works. Also nice to see that the old man would have raped this guy were not for that unfortunate cough. Sad that Stella x Ikki were interrupted, but happy that Stella has total trust on Ikki, and that Ayase is repentant for her actions and starting anew. Oh well. |

| This episode was... ok. Mainly beccause I feel like Ayasuji should've been the one tom fight the guy instead of Ikki. I think it would've been way better character development for her. And it just makes sense as this is kind of her revenge/redemption story. That's what really threw me off about the episode. The battle was cool though. |

Literally the one thing which makes you different from any other action/fantasy magic academy anime is that you have a real romance going on. So why can't you at least focus on that one thing? It's like it first makes such a big deal about how it stands out from the rest, and then it still insists on focusing on the generic aspects. It's like regression So annoying to watch |
