| My ideal MC would be someone who has a character setting that most people can easily relate to (meaning... they're not "badass" or have special abilities, and may even have a terrible personality from the start) But throughout the series, he ends up in various circumstances that gradually changes him (even better if the changes aren't too far or deep that no one can relate to it anymore). The MC has to be (or become) open-minded, wise, tactful, capable, and funny. I want an MC that can grow to set as a good example to the viewers in their everyday lives. |

My three favorites are Adlet Mayer, Hikigaya Hachiman, and Nagito Komaeda, and probably the traits I love the most from them: - intelligent, rational, and not over-eager to jump to conclusion - think through plans, good sense of comradery - talented in some way, but also hardworking and diligent - bonus points if they've earned their talent - also appreciate if they have sparks of brilliance or insight - is just interesting to watch and relatable - physically, I prefer them young and male I suppose, since its just a bit more relatable - not an asshole, not a douchebag, has a purpose and goal and takes steps to get there - kind, considerate, thoughtful, relatively/reasonably selfless and helpful - it helps if they have their own interests and is 3 dimensional of course |

If the character isn't a pervert who gets arused by seeing a pair of boobs, and instead it's a composed person, instant favorite. Oh, and cute ones! Whether they look like girls or not, I love mc who tends to be polite and charming. [Examples: Yogi (Karneval), , Shun (Saint Seiya)] |

| I'd have to say an imperfect mc. By that I mean that their talents do not overshadow their weaknesses. I'm so tired of o so perfect MC's that we're told are weak, but really just o so mighty. Then we get those small explanations why they're not really perfect... -,- please |
| Personally, it really depends... I think the story itself shapes what a perfect MC to me would be. For general action shows, I'll be honest that I like a character similar to Naruto - he's taken what he's experienced and overcome hardship. He works hard because he isn't naturally a genius, but has the potential to be great. I do love that he has strong emotions and let's them rule him for the most part (but I'd prefer not all the time). I'd add a bit of intelligence to him, simply because I don't care for the comedic side of him that's so silly to the point of plain dumb. For war/hardcore fighting shows - Guts... *shrug* there isn't more to say >.> Romance/Comedy/Slice of Life/Etc - Almost everything else can be eh~, I just want to see a guy that stands up for himself. I don't really think guys should hit girls (with some/certain exceptions that wouldn't be in these genres usually), but I think they should at least defend themselves and should they get hit because some stupid bitch thinks it's his fault she tripped and fell on top of him, I'd rather see him hold her in contempt at her stupidity and arrogance, rather than accept it. I won't go into the perfect female MC simply because I'd be writing a book then XD haha |

Bonus points for being some kind of rebel. * Doesn't allow his tragic past and personality get in the way of being a good person and relating to others. Bonus points for having a little girl to protect. * Is clever and full of plans. Bonus points for having plans that involve retreating from battles when things go bad. * Is strong in battle, and even stronger when using teamwork. One-on-one battles are overrated, two people back-to-back against a crowd of faceless goons is the best part. * Doesn't talk much, but we can hear his thoughts. Bonus points for being a good speaker when he does talk. * Gender and age don't matter very much, I see him as a young man, but a girl might be good too. |
