| This was a fun show, not particularly good, but fun. It seems like an odd place to end the season; an episode or two earlier would have worked better. One of the things that's really been bugging me about this show is that all of the prominent fantasy-world characters are female (and young or young-in-appearance). It would have been more interesting with more diversity. |

| Why the heck did they stop at an awkward time? it doesn't feel like 1 season at all and I'm at a lost as to how to rate this, how can you rate a show halfway through? it's not a bad show by any means but they don't even try to end this half on a tranquil note and we got a half-baked hype instead. Oh well.. |

| Good episode. As much as i agree with the decision not to send an army to help Yao, i kinda feel bad for her. Nice to see Lelei using her knowledge really well to expand her abilities. Great series overall. Good pace, good set of characters, decent plot. solid 8 for me, cant wait for the 2nd cour in 2016!  |

| The anime ended and still I wasn't able to see Itami's real capabilities D: I mean, he was just lucky... or happened to be at those locations and situations which gave lead him to the praise. While it was not the best anime of the season, it certainly was one of the favorites of mine. And surely Itami the best char of the season for me :D He's real kewl~ Looking forward to the next season in Jan now :D |

| The story about the dark elf, they pulled too long, without coming to anything. End of season not so bad, just do not think that show much pride in the way they are corrupt individuals beyond the Gate, with the well-being that is in Japan, is a source of pride to be advertised, and for me it shows how the civilized world today is a source of problems and not so obvious benefits; then everyone has his own ideas. Returning to the TV series, the story was quite fragmented stretching enormously important events. During the narration then, not only the last episode, he noted a certain inconsistency in the way of character. Drawings and animations, maintain sufficient quality in this episode, well below other anime of the summer that have enjoyed better treatments, oh well! My vote, for now, is 7/10. |

| Ugh, that was a terrible point to end the anime at. I found the last few episiodes very interesting. 7/10. The last half was amused me, even though the overall presentation of this anime is poor. I'll most likely watch the second season this January. |

| Anime stuffs around with boring irrelevant stuff a lot (is that BL joke still funny? Really?), is often hamfisted with the auto-fellatio "all hail Japan! Long live Japan!", and often times it's plain stupid, wasting the really interesting premise. Ending the season out of nowhere also leaves me a bit sour. Still, the premise is good, series was enjoyable, and I found myself looking forward to it, so 7/10 from me. |

I wouldn't want the animation to drop.. but still.. to wait one season till next year. T^T This is one of the most enjoyable anime this season to sit back relax and enjoy. Hmmm the fire dragon subjugation later would have some good action. Itami might get some spotlight. woots. |

| I dislike this moment when all your great anime end T_T. I am looking forward to watch the new cour. Rory, Itami, Lelei made this anime so enjoyable. The politics part and the battles are interesting. This episode is really good, it more focused on the fantasy world and it's a good choice, imo. Edit : Rory best girl ! |
| Split season ending meh... As a final episode I don't have anything to say it was average at the very best. Overall though I love this series so far. It's "realistic" in it's own way. The author gave it some though of what would hapen if anime characters invaded our world :P I love how within all the SOL and Comedy when the action matter shit always get real with blood and dismembered bodies. Itami is very likable as a main character and his harem is god damn awesome too :3 Rory best girl though hand down. Season 2 GOOO!!! |

| Nice finale episode to this season. A sequel was already confirmed and it stopped at a good point. Looking forward to see how Itami and the group decide to help Yao. I'm also curious to see how they will adapt "that" scene from the manga. xD Overall this series was one of my top ones of the season. The story line is defintely the main highlight of the show. It has very good characters with an adventurous feel to it. There is so much potential with this series and I hope it does very well. One thing I've noticed about this series is that it is pretty soft compared to the manga as that is more dark and deep themed although this may be due to the age rating. Nevertheless it's a great series and the author who wrote this was in the JSDF in reality so I have to say the elements/materials used in the army were very nicely detailed. It combines a lot of theories such as elves, magic and modern warfare properties which make it very interesting. I also like how they put the social factors to an efficient use into a fantasy themed series. | Bunch of casuals complaining about not getting a predictable climatic forced 12 episode action sequence. This ep was good, rather than ending a conflict, it started an arc to leave you anticipating the next cour. It also took time to reflect on the ripple effect that Itami has caused with the people and how the arrival of the JSDF has changed the Special Region's culture with it's community development. 5/5 ep. This portion of the series gets a 7/10 from me. |

| Well then, whilst I cannot say I'm discontent about this episode and the ending of season 1. I also cannot deny that this first season was amazing. A very, very good start to the anime the first few episodes were entertaining to say the least. Afterwards trying to establish relationships and some worldbuilding, that was fitting albeit a bit boring. The last few episodes were kinda boring and the story didn't really progress. For example the last two episodes wasted on this dark elf girl. She is very hot but if she isn't gonna appear in the 2nd season as a main this is kinda pointless. For good animation, a reasonably enjoyable OP and ED plus a good MC this anime gets a final rating of 8/10 from me. May the 2nd season be even better. |

| thank fuck A-1 didn't fuck up here. To be honest, I would have been deeply scared if A-1 announced that they were doing a full 24-episode anime with no breaks in between. |
| I so love this show. It could be better, but keeps getting better. I have such big hopes for this show to hit my TOP 10. Winter new Show?! Yahooo. I am in heaven. Cant wait for the next season after Overlord and Gangsta have disappointed in a way for me. |
