| Old news, and at least of the 10000 refugees we probably might not even accept them all given what the border patrol will do, our doors aren't opening "for good" per se, rather, they're offering shelter for those who will be able to pass the immigration checks. Not concerned about this, might be concerned if Obama goes further. Keep in mind most Syrians ARE NOT ISIS members, even though there's a lot to check in them to see if they might be or not. Thankfully, America does the picking and choosing better than Europe so feel free to deconstruct this. |

I think you lot are doing a fine job of that without any foreign input, but there you go. Well done, Obama. It's nice to see a bit more compassion in the world. Judging by your words I'm pretty sure you mean well, but you ignore the fact the the majority of the so-called Syrian refugees aren't what you make them out to be. Most of the people crossing into Europe aren't even Syrian they're people without documentation claiming to be Syrian to reap the benefits of an unemployed lifestyle in a first world liberal 'utopia'. Most are African, Iraquis, Pakistani, etc... males travelling without families and dumping their IDs and documentation before entering Europe to claim the benefits offered to the Syrian refugees. Sound like the type of people you'd like in your neighborhood? I think not. Iraq as nation need ot be broken up simple as give the kurds thre land give shia there land and with the sunni there land Iraq was made in to anation after WWI eother let the nation dissolve or re install a dictaor to stablze the aera [ the us is good at that] Cough@ latin America 40's- today "cough |

Everyone knew he'd have to accept several refugees in at some point. Quite frankly I'm not surprised even if I'd only accept around a couple hundred or thousand myself. Also, Canada is also accepting refugees and I believe has more coming in even if they haven't made it public yet so I don't know why the exceptionalism, Josh. |

They also need to move them to the proper states as well because some states will cause major problems for them and those who live there from possible conflict. traed said: Now this is what I like to see. We don't have as many socialist programs for migrants to leech off of. We're multicultural. Our land is a capitalist heaven with open jobs for the unskilled and unknowing. We're also pretty big on agriculture and since that isn't really a job field that relies too much on communication, they'll be swept off with a job and contributing to society. Our country is large so there will be no bothersome confliction with other Americans if they so choose to populate an area in high density. And unlike 800k, we're only getting 10k, which isn't much in comparison with the immigrants we receive from Mexico and Cuba and whatever else. Eurocucks stay mad, America still winning. |

It's funny, they really do have a superiority/oppression complex despite constantly denying it. At least I'm able to admit I can act that way at times, but I don't let it control me. | FGAU, are all Muslims terrorists? Most of the Syrian refugees are ESCAPING ISIS rather than sneaking in to bring domestic terrorism. Believe me while there people like that, these guys would be turned down and even captured the minute they even try if they blow it. Deportations in Europe are almost an anomaly. They're a staple with American immigration the minute one is caught for something like drug trafficking. You're not as PC as you might think or try to be. I'm anti-refugee crisis as well, but if we do take qualified people who want to integrate, that's not a problem at all with a multicultural country like America. Besides, this isn't really a big deal. We already have several million muslims, and middle easterners in general. It's the country of immigrants, so we won't really cry about the "islamification" of the US (lol). It ain't a big deal. The United States may have a shit load of problems, but integration (for muslim americans, and people of middle eastern/south asian/north african descent especially) is not one of them. Unlike many Muslims in Europe, American Muslims overall do not tend to feel marginalized or isolated from political participation and have often adopted a politically proactive stance. Several organizations were formed by the American Muslim community to serve as 'critical consultants' on U.S. policy regarding Iraq and Afghanistan. Other groups have worked with law enforcement agencies to point out Muslims within the United States that they suspect of fostering 'intolerant attitudes'. Still others have worked to invite interfaith dialogue and improved relations between Muslim and non-Muslim Americans. Contrary to popular perceptions, the condition of Muslims in the U.S. is very good. Among South Asians in the country, the large Pakistani American community stands out as particularly well educated and prosperous, with education and income levels exceeding those of U.S.-born whites. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_the_United_States#Education_and_income |
