Lol'd at the above when they said that Baby Steps animation is better than Hajime no Ippo. Are we watching the same anime? The animation of Hajime no Ippo is fluid and consistent, which you cannot say with Baby Steps. Also, look at those creepy people backgrounds of Baby Steps. It's frankly unnerving, as they are just static frames. Baby Steps is good, but its art and animation is subpar.

okay, just between hajime no ippo:rising and baby steps season 1 (2013 and 2014, not that far).
yes hajime no ippo is art as great and more detail than baby steps, but the movement of hajime no ippo animation not as fluid as baby steps. baby steps choreography have more variation, more realistic, more movement and more better than reused hajime no ippo rising. just look at ippo vs gero and eiichiro vs takuma kantou eliminary battle. and for background, baby step background not even move, and more look like theme when character background in hajime no ippo are reused. yes both of them not even have budget for it.

TL;dr:
hajime no ippo > Baby steps in art.
baby steps > hajime no ippo in animation.

and both of them have 10 in my list. i dont said baby steps>hajime no ippo in general.

I haven't seen enough of Pierrot to judge them properly

Shows I have seen:

Naruto - Love it
Naruto shippuden - dislike it
Tokyo ghoul - it sucks both as an adaptation and on its own merits
Tokyo ghoul root a (dropped) - horrible
Yu Yu hakusho (on-hold) - above average

Overall I'm not too fond of them but they can make a good show here and there

Its not so much judging, indeed it is the opposite. I drop merely because the show had nothing to recommend me continuing to watch, but I am always ready to admit that I could have been wrong on my opinion. For example I didn't watch Log Horizon because I thought it would be boring, but in keeping up on MAL a comment a reader made around episode 20 convinced me to watch and I became a fan.

You seem to be one of those "rood and arrogant baseless" people who think their opinion is all that matters. In short you are a small, small person. Only small people aren't willing to respect what other people say and give a show a second chance. Only an ass will never admit that they could be wrong.

Studio Pierrot is inconsistent. Sometimes they have shit animation sometimes they have amazing high-budget-movie-tier animation. The original naruto has so many great fight scene and shippuden got one recently

but sometimes they go as far as what they did with the pain arc xD

The backrounds lacked detail in this scene in the Manga as well.
As for the texture, it´s quite essential to sacrifice some coloring in favor of more fluid animation,

Compare it to this fight . Which is garbage compared to the first one imo. The direction is debateable but purely judging from the quality of animation (not art) the first one is superior.

Fight A is a continues onslaught of fast well coreographed movement with lesser focus on the coloring to compliment the movement.

Fight B has more rich coloring but barely the amount of action Fight A has and uses alot of stillframes (with great art) where only a head is moving coupled with some flashing lights.

Fight A has more classic animation and uses more frames where as Fight B uses more CGI and bright effects to impress.

It´s Transformers vs The Raid.

I for my part choose The Raid anytime.
