| I was hoping to see Ouran's face — would have been a very powerful image in contrast to her usual composure, though it might be too early for that. I like how Asano continued to use Ouran's humorous ramblings within this heavier context. It makes her remarks seem more like a defense mechanism or even a sort of mask, instead of simple funny assertions. That she often references things like capitalism and democracy, and is always listening to news broadcasts, makes me think she's actually quite cultured. I'm starting to see Asano as a master of subtleties. |
