Well, so far I had an impression that this is a wide fantasy world with lots of exploration, fleshing out to do ( something like 12 Kingdoms, or even something like One Piece, HxH, etc. ) so even if there is an original side story or some of scenes, moments are extended - it's even better because there is a lot to take from, from this type of setting. Unless of course it does something retarded with it. And honestly, slow pacing > fast pacing, especially in a setting like this. I don't know maybe I'm the only one who can enjoy super slow series like this, like Akatsuki no Yona, a lot of people were frustrated with it. And overall, you just gotta accept that this will be more shonen-y version and I don't see any problems with it. |

OC doesn't really have anything to do with that. You don't see any problems with it because you haven't read the source material. (Except Abara, probably) So if you don't like really edgy and grim cyberpunk, the transition can be a little jarring If you want something in between Blame and Sidonia, Biomega is a great choice |
