The Seven Deadly Sins
| i have been looking for new anime and i keep seeing nanatsu no taizai popping up. Everytime i read the summary it seems boring to me. But because so many people like it i might give it a try. anyway my question is: do you recommend me watching it and why? people say it looks like akame ga kill or fairy tail and i disliked both of those. is it good for someone whos 21 years old? |

| You can describe Nanatsu no Taizai in any word but 'boring'. It is probably one of the best adventure shows I've seen lately. The premise might sound like AGK or Fairy Tail but once it develops, it's definitely different, in a good way. The characters are pretty fun, so is the story in general imo. |

| It's definitely much better than Akame Ga Kill. Nanatsu no Taizai doesn't have the best plot or characters but the show is really enjoyable. I like the atmosphere of the show too - it's lighthearted but can get dark at times. And I really like the relationship between the characters. For you, I don't think I can judge if you'd like it because of your age. Some older people like shows aimed at kids, some younger people like mature shows. Since we have similar taste, you probably would enjoy NNT. |
| I haven't seen it either -- and personally I also think from what I've heard and the synopsis it's probably terrible but if you try it out and find out otherwise let me know After all I was quite surprised with Hitsugi no Chaika (really didn't expect much of that) but it was a pretty solid watch |

| is a slightly improved fairy tail entertaining but little to no substance also if you don't like cliches this is not the anime for you this is pretty much a collection of cliches |

| I think its ur average childish shonen with no plot character development drama etc. Fairy tail is way way way better. |

| The manga is great, the anime on the other hand is alright in most aspects except the horrid pacing. |

| Nanatsu No Taizai is a great shonen action/adventure. It's very simmilar to Fairy Tail in many ways such as the comedy, ecchi, adventure aspect and characters; however , Nanatsu No Taizai wins with the story. Unlike Fairy Tail where the only real plot line is Natsu finding his dragon father and then random self contained arcs that start and finish within 30 episodes, Nanatsu No Taizai has it's plot planned out well in advance. There is a lot of foreshadowing and backstory to each character which makes this so much better. If you think by reading the synopsis that this anime is about searching for these Seven Deadly Sins and then stopping some war and that's all there is to it, then you're wrong. This anime is amazing and definitely worth a shot at watching. |

| I have seen 1 ep, odds are it will get better. Thoughthe fantasy animes I have enjoyed the most so far are berserk and snb, NnT looks to be quite different in atmosphere. |

| It's your typical Shounen. If you hate all the love/friendship drama and little to no deaths then it's not your cup of tea. If you just wanna have fun, then yeah. |
| I think it's pretty good though I wouldn't say it's amazing...yet. It's a lot like Akame ga Kill in a way that the good guys are portrayed as the bad guys the main difference being that AGK kills off a lot of characters while in NNT, most of the characters have been fairly safe due to the absurd amount of plot armor in the show. Akame ga Kill tended to be more serious (most of the time at least) while NNT has been, for the most part, fairly silly but still entertaining. I'd give it a 7.5/10 so far though that might change. |

| I would not recommend the anime if you want the true experience of Nanatsu no Taizai. If you want some enjoyment, then sure, watch the anime. But if you want something good, read the manga. The animation is subpar when compared to the art style in the manga (The fights are done better too) and the pacing is too fast (They're adapting 100 chapters of the manga into 24 eps, so yeah. That's expected). Taizai does the "good guys" portrayed as bad guys thing like Akame ga Kill. The difference is though, Taizai doesn't foucs only on that. It's just the first saga, Taizai actually focus on a Holy War of some sort. The villains also aren't terribly written like in Akame ga Kill. It's better than Akame in every way, except for killing off incredibly generic characters. Taizai is only similar to Fairy Tail to those who are ignorant of Arthurian Legends, British Literature and Celtic Mythology, which is actually Taizai's inspiration. I think it's a disgrace being compared to both Akame and Fairy Tail. It;s better than those in every way. |

| One of the best action anime in a while if you ask me. Great soundtrack, fantastic animation, fun characters... and there's blood, lots of it, so if that's a deciding factor then there you go. |

| I don't like fairy tail at all but I am really enjoying nanatsu no taizai.. I was put off by the echii jokes at first and they still aren't really my cup of tea but they are tolerable and don't get in the way of enjoyment.. It's a fun series to watch with lovable characters.. the pacing is a bit fast but it's not too bad. It's a bright series about friendship which I personally like these sort of series if the character interactions are done right and nnt manages to do it really good. I think it's only really similar to fairy tail in the first ep of nnt and ft pilot are very similar but after that not really.. besides the echii jokes.. nnt has an actual structure and plot to it. |

| Its one of those popcorn worth series that you can watch for pure entertainment. If you're looking for deep characters and good well built plot then this series isn't for you. It's not that far off from fairy tale just a bit better IMO. |
| The anime is rushing things (5+ chapters = 1 episode) which isn't what you should be doing. For example, the Byzel arc is what took NNT to another level, but the anime just made it off to be SSDD. The manga is indeed, "really that great"; the anime however, isn't a meticulous adaption. But that being said, it's still enjoyable. |

| I've so far been pretty disappointed by it overall. It is worth a watch, but something I would recommend to anyone to watch as a priority. |

| It's a better version of Fairy Tail, and that's really it. It got lots of shounen clichés and a stupidly OP MC, but atleast I found the cast more likeable. |

| The plot is pretty generic and isn't anything new but the characters add life to the series. There are moments when the characters, namely Elizabeth, Meliodas and the others can act stupidly and it can be frustratingly too shounen-esque in its delivery. The love stories/ships feel sort of forced, depending on how you see it. I'm not a fan of any of the pairings, tbh. My favorite character has to be the straight man which is the talking pig, Hawk. |

| It's ok, nothing special. I have a feeling that this could be so much better without all that Elizabeth drama and stuff. I really don't like her role in this anime and it's quite annoying. |
| It's not great, but it's a solid action/comedy series, nonetheless. It's fairly cliché'd on many points, but if you can live with that, you'll probably like it. |
