Do you prefer couples like in SAO where they're the same age, or do you prefer couples that have a larger age gap. Do you think couples with larger age gaps are immoral?
I'd go with emobubbles, but someone else already had it, damn bastard.

Near the same age, but I'm interested in any kind of romance as long as it's not portrayed in a fetishized way.

Just from my experience. A gap of age that is more than four years makes it hard to relate and have decent conversation.

If I want to talk to someone romantically than I would prefer it within 3 years of my own age. Just for sake of reference and understanding.

The generational gap is definitely a big one. There's a girl 6 years younger than me that likes me but I just don't really relate to her at all and can't see her as anything more than a younger sister as a result.

But as Mayuka said, I'll accept any romance that is well put together. I just noticed this but from Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, my favorite pairings are the ones with the biggest age gaps.

Age gap although I really, really like older woman younger guy relationships but have zero interest in the opposite. An older girl/woman younger guy romance is a lot more interesting than a same age romance because a relationship like that can cause insecurity in both the male and female characters. The guy would be thinking that the girl/woman will never see him as a man but as a child and he can develop insecurity because of that likewise the girl/woman would think she is not young and pretty (even though she may be) simply because she is older than the guy. Also older girl/woman younger guy relationships are seen as taboo unlike same age and older guy, younger girl relationships so it's interesting to see how the characters overcome this.

I guess like a 6 year or fewer difference is all right and this is assuming the older partner is 19 and up since marriages tend to happen that way sometimes and anything well above that fucking creeps me out but might work for hypocrites and pedotrolls on this site lol

Same age if possible. But I don't mind couples with larger age gaps though. I don't think it's 'immoral' at all.

I think that an 1-3 years gap are most suitable, to avoid that turn into something alike

Anything more than 6 years starts to feel kind of creepy, especially in anime where the average character is about 16 years old.

I see nothing wrong with a 6 year or more gap especially if the younger character is like 18 or over. 20 years might be pushing it though.

Yeah, it's not that rare to see it IRL. Marriages happen with those age differences, it's perfectly fine as long as they love each other.

But when it's a fucking ugh, I don't even want to say it, that some trolls here actually like, then yeah, I will fucking object all right.

Same age, usually. Age gaps can get creepy.
The only age gaps I can really stand are if one character was either born all grown up, or was immortal and just didn't age.

Nah, it's not you. I appreciate lolis and perhaps a little more than the next guy but them in relationships with people older than them creeps me the fuck out. Hell, I'm actually against lolicon to be honest. Those guys fucking scare me. I'm sexually attracted to people in my age range and that will never change.

But I'm pretty sure there are people here that actually want that, lol. I think a few days ago I called someone out for saying that was their ideal relationship. Jeez. I get it's fiction and all, but even that kind of scares me a bit.

I blame the Boku no Pico "fanbase" if anything... Not a lot of other child-adult relationships are really canon to the trolls of MAL.

Okay I see. Child and adult relationships are pushing it. A 30 year old with a 10 year old would seem creepy.

Btw, which anime couple has the largest age gap that anyone knows of (excluding couples where one is immortal or has some sort of a thing that slows their aging process aka spice and wolf). Preferably older male/younger female.(and not fetishized) In fact, one that's taken maturely (if such a thing exists). I'm curious to see how this sort of drama would play out. Kinda like that set up to that one anime with the brother and the sister having feelings for each other but situations are handled in a realistic manner.
Most of the ones I have seen have couples that are the same age. (And it gets kind of boring when there's not much drama to it since it's acceptable for them)

Probably the same as I'd be willing to date in real life, within 5 years high or low, without an 18 year old dating a 13 year old or anything like that obviously. I don't really find myself thinking about it much though, maybe if it came up in shows I watch more often...

None is 'better'. So I think 'doesn't matter' in the poll should be an opiton
But I do think some age gap is quite interesting.
