I just finished turning my livingroom and bedroom into a cheerful environment. A small christmas tree in my bedroom, a big one in the livingroom, and small lights everywhere. After that i delivered all christmas cards, and thought it'd be a nice idea to do this one in public.

Chavez wishes everyone in the MyAnimeList.net community a cheerful time in this season, and may next
year be a good one!

For me, that's the opposite. I think this is the first Christmas in awhile that I've been looking forward to. Kind of strange since I'm not sure what's different this year.

Going to live back home for my Co-op starting this christmas. Haven't been home with exception to one weekend for the past 3 months (My first time living on my own, I might add). So I'm looking forward to it.

Sorry to hear that you guys might not be having as good of a christmas, but I hope that you guys can all have some Happy Holidays nonetheless ;)

Edited to be politcally correct because I'm bored.

I've had two friends kill themselves
Had $500 stolen from being held up at gunpoint and cops did nothing.
Been completely broke and behind in bills, can't even afford toilet paper at the moment.
Lots of other random drama and so forth.

So yeah, not the best time for me. :( I haven't even felt like "christmas" yet. I look forward to seeing my mom of course, but for the most part, I just don't feel much in the spirit of things.

I love Christmas time, even on years when I am not seeing any of my family. I make it christmassy for myself :D This year I am driving up to visit my parents, who live about 5 or 6 hours away. I think I just like the cold weather and the lights :)

I love Christmas, too. We always start decorating for Christmas around Thanksgiving.

Merry Christmas to everyone. I know the season can be hard for some people for various reasons, so I hope the rest of the year and the new year gets better for some of you.

I'm in the same vein as you, I don't get to see my boyfriend due to passport trouble.

Ah well, at least I'm getting a new cellphone. Material good are the true way to happiness, right? Right? :D

Just kidding. I do love Christmas so, ever since I was little. I have little to no family other than my immediate family living here but we celebrate with friends and stuff so it's wonderful. :) Snow and lights ad chocolate and gifts for friends - it's a wonderful time, even if it's not what I was hoping it would be.

Merry Christmas to you all ^_^

Uhm, i guess so ^_>

Besides that, Christmas has a positive influence on people as well.

BTW, anyone having snow already? The lowest peak in temperature already has been reached here, and not a single flake of snow -_-''

I guess too much of the good isn't quite what people are waiting for either. I'm dying to see some snow here as it hasn't been here for 2 years or so. On the other hand i wouldn't want to live a lifetime in snowville either ^_>

No it just has a positive effect on Christians and since they got the biggest and probably the most weapons it helps...lol. But yeah i don't have to much with Christmas, but yeah it is pretty nice to have the whole family together...

Although christmas wasn't really a christian tradition D:
They just renamed various local new-year celebrations, like the original Roman "Sol Invictius" and the old Norse "Jöl"...
But the christians back then were clever devils, they knew the best way to subvert people was through slow gradual change...and burn them on the stake if they didn't comply XD

Hold it there. How can you establish a link between Christmas and weapons? Please go and do that somewhere else, i find it very provoking and i don't want anything bad to happen to this topic, not even for a discriminating religious comment like that. I know tons of people from different nations (from India till America and even Russian) and neither of those have a problem with Christmas, and none of them can recall a single thing about guns when i talk to them about christmas.

Let this be the last post about it.

Snow, well in my hometown which I'm currently residing in for the holidays, it isn't. It happens to be the same as Bamans.

The city where I currently live and attend University, Trondheim, there's been snow for about 4-5 weeks (which on the roads turned into 4inch solid ice), moving to a city 5 degrees further north turns out to be a cold business. Also Trondheim's only got a fjord which connects it to the sea as to Haugesund is by the sea, so less "seaheating" over there =(

Well, it's been christmas eve for about 2 hours now, so

Merry Christmas =)

Im sorry if your offended but i just meant that Christmas is for allot of people about peace on earth and a time to drop their weapons. And it seems to help somehow, maybe they should just consider to want to do it all the year.(Like I would prefer)

Oh and you don't decide if, what or where i post, i can do that perfectly fine by myself ^^

Sure try to bend things over now, not even a single line in your previous post suggests that you're talking about a total disarm, which sounds pretty offtopic but it's exactly the content of your recent post. Get your thoughts away from the trigger and please try not to ruin the mood here. I'm simply asking to keep this topic clean, if, regardless of that, you still feel the urge to talk about weapons of war, then PM me i can talk and argue all day about it, but don't regret it once you did so.

Anyways, anyone here with a nice pile of presents underneath their christmas tree? And maybe someone already tried to figure out what's in them? :D

Umm.. not doing anything in particular. Just eating dinner with family as usual. We don't really celebrate Christmas to begin with, although we use to do more in past years. We're going off on holiday straight after New Years which is why this Christmas is a bit bland. Saving the cash for then.
