A quick glance at the thread title and I thought it said: Japan's Satisfaction and Expectation Wanking for Winter and Spring Anime

After a moments reflection, that title is probably more apt.

No kidding. Okaeri is their top pick? I thought it was mediocre at best. Horrible animation and art and the only thing that saved it somewhat was Hosaka. Even that gag started to become stale. As for their spring 09 expectations, I'm surprised to see Eden so low.

Indeed, as Eden seems a nice anime to me as far as I've seen... also a shame that there isn't much expected of Hanasakeru Seishounen and that FMA2 is on top. Why oh why is Queen's Blade in that list...

First season was still the best overall for me.. and the expectation rankings for spring animes are pretty much the same as mine with a few exceptions and minor switches.

While I still have two episodes left, I was not satisfied with Maria†Holic. Too much focus on boring characters. I had higher expectations.

This season, I have high expectations for Valkyria Chronicles.

What's most amazing to me is Linebarrels got a satisfaction ranking of 14, while Skip Beat didn't even make the list. WTF is that about, Japan?

Higashi no Eden has a very limited target audience. Basically, around probably 5% of the whole anime audience, meaning, 95% of people who watch anime in Japan will never watch this show. And Basquash is basically produced by a westerner, which is enough of a reason to not expect anything from this show. Nothing surprising there.
Oh, and it's good to not see 07-Crap anywhere.

Same reason, Skip Beat has a limited target audience as well. It's not that no one liked it, just not many people watched it.

Okaeri? What? I gave Okaeri the lowest score out of all the Minami-ke seasons. It wasn't horrible, but definitely no better than average quality.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

Nooooo... Ippo should be #1 always!

But honestly I can see why FMA2 is ranked so high, the first anime was huge, so they're expecting it to make a giant comeback. But I'm thinking K-ON's going to be taking that spot come time for results.

Natsume should have been number one, skip beat should have made the list and Tetswuan Birdy Decode 2 should have exceeded expectations :/

btw, how are these things determined? is it based on ratings, critic reviews or some group of losers with a god complex?

How the hell does Minami-ke Okaeri get suck a high satisfaction rate? It was decent, but nowhere near fantastic...

Expectations for Spring are kinda agreeable, but Higarushi no Eden so low? Whaaaa?
