Wtf just wtf. Funny how the JOIRians believed the video without hesitation -__- Funny about the people here is that they always say everything is poorly executed. Tell us on how this episode should have gone already, can't wait. :D |

Valvrave started off REALLY light hearted up until about episode 6 and look how things turned out over the course of the last 15 episodes. With Sunrise produced shows it's hard to get a sense of how they will develop since they tend to be rather on the complex side (no pun intended) cause there's a lot of world, character and mechanic building to do. Usually by the 8th episode or so things start falling into place though. rederoin said: Its kinda entertaining how much hate this episode is getting in both Japan and the west. Eh? I'm kind of surprised by the lack of thread shitting and hate to be honest compared to say Gundam 00 Second Season and Code Geass R2 where no matter what happened it seemed like the entire internet just bashed the ever loving crap out of every episode week after week. Maybe I'm just used to seeing it to comically excessive degrees with Sunrise stuff, but I just don't see that much hate for the most part. Usually these are the kind of episodes where you get opportunistic posters that only ever show up for episodes that provide a lot of fodder for criticism and especially when it comes to Sunrise shows cause some people really love hammering that whole trainwreck meme into the ground, but not so much this time. I think people accept that there's a fair bit of contrivance, but overall the response seems mostly disappointment in certain characters, namely Shoko. |

Don't Shoko and the other b*tch know for a fact that they are still considered monsters by the world, and there's no way they'd be saved?? It's a typical situation. On the other hand, our hero Inuzuka!!!!!!!! Go to the first episode of this season and you'll see that the 2 countries are being controlled by the Magius. Looks more likely this is gonna end up with Dorrsia and ARUS united into that Third Galactic Reich in the flash forward for the seventh episode with the Kamitsuki fighting them for over 200 years. |

Massacre has started, the students have mostly been pretty lucky to all be still alive after 20 episodes, guess sooner or later this was gonna happen. I wonder how they are planning to end this season, spilling the secret of the council in the next few episodes will be rush if the season has 12 episodes. |

The shows been getting those up and down NicoNico ever since it started anyway so what else is new. I'm also honestly kind of with ex_necross, Japan has it's own bizarre reasons for liking and not liking stuff a lot of the time that it's not worth particularly caring too much. Give them cute girls doing cute things and they'll be all over something, give them an unpleasant (in the sense of what transpired) watch and who knows. Otaku are very bashful as they say. |

Its not a sure seller but its clearly as good a place as any to start. I really can't think of any other pseudo genre that has enjoyed as much success in recent years. You now pretty much have to set aside an episode for this sort of thing no matter what nowadays too. Even this show had it in episode 5. Anyway if I had to make a suggestion to Sunrise/Aniplex in the future it would be to stop hiring writers people clearly don't like on a personal level. Its no surprise that shows with Hiroyuki Yoshino and/or Ichiro Okouchi writing are among their least successful in recent memory while they get Yosuke Kuroda for Build Fighters and its popularity manages to go beyond the kids demo. I have less problems with Okouchi than Yoshino personally but I'm baffled by their continual exposure considering Japan clearly doesn't think much of either beyond Code Geass |

Great episode. ANd this is why, people, Saki is the best girl. People complaining about the ARus behavior conveniently forget hat Arus president is most likely part of the Council. Aireena said: The only pros in this episode is Saki and A-Drei interaction. Please let A-Drei survive. I have the feeling that L-Elf's former team is going to perish helping Saki escape. The OP does not bode too well for them. GateLambda said: niaxato said: Lol, everyone falls for the Dorassian trap no questions asked, then calmly go about killing all the students. Righhhhhht. Way to sell out Haruto, Shouko. Oh well, hopefully this severs all ties between the two and leaves a clear Saki/Haruto end.(Although I am still kinda hoping Saki join's Cain's side just to really throw everything into chaos.) Hmmm, Haruto just said that he will continue on loving Shouko before senpai died. Which I hope it's just bs to let his friend go at peace ... because that bitch sold him straight up, what up? Its quite clear that he said what he wanted to hear, Considering he started in past tense first. Shouko still has to discover a lot of shit and I feel that we are getting S3 after this, with this ending in quite GUndam00S1-esque fashion and with Shouko going full Darth Vader on us. Haruto and L-Elf will go to the module, sort out their shit, possibly get their hands on that phantom somehow, go get Saki, while L-Elf's former buddies either join them or die helping them(more likely considering this episode and the OP), after they learn the truth from that earring. Then they will go back to the surviving students, Shoko will find out about Saki stuff, flip out even more and the season will end with her on side of humans and the state of VVV pilots unknown. Cue Season 3 with half VV pilots being new, Shouko leading her bull empire from flashforwards and humans versus vampires bs starting. |

Humanity was smart enough to invent technology that allows for space travel and advancements in science that allow them to completely toy with DNA and give birth to complete genetically enhanced humans, but getting a video feed from one guy and a known war criminal is more than enough evidence for an intelligent adult to give an order to massacre hundreds of teenagers. I don't buy that for a single second. That's pure Zeta Gundam logic, where normally intelligent people lose all semblance of thought and sanity, causing them to behave in an idiotic manner because the plot calls for it. When things like this happen, it becomes clear that instead of a story that's built on characters, you're instead watching a writer play chess with himself. |

When things like this happen, it becomes clear that instead of a story that's built on characters, you're instead watching a writer play chess with himself. Just because people have a lot of advanced technology doesn't make them any smarter, more in tune with their fellow man and able to engage in critical thinking. I mean look at us, we basically use twitter to overreact about everything same as the people in this show. They don't know these people in the cast, they're just living vicariously through their PR statements. It's much easier to look at a situation, drop some one liner about killing them all and calling it a day and leaving it at that then when you actually know a person. That's why I think most of the fair criticism is best reserved for Shoko. I think this harkens back to season 1 with Aina's death and how the cast of the show reacted individually versus how the people being asked to send their condolences via social media did. Lot of nonchalant "Oh she looks cute and nice, I guess it sucks that she died" and just clicking a button to send a pre-determined message. Ditto people looking at video of Saki piloting and just going, "Oh wow she's hot and an idol, I'm gonna support these people". Plus as people keep trying to point out, Jeffrey Anderson the Arus president is not an intelligent adult, he's a scheming sleazy politician that follows the polls and the bidding of the Magius and you can be almost certain that he's there as a plant. I think when we see him looking around impatiently at the end of the last episode like he's waiting for something to happen and doesn't really particularly seem to care about base levels of diplomacy with the New Jior that's a pretty big tip off. Also I can't think of any other group that could have possibly gotten those people into the phantom but for the Arus party. Everything has the look of a set up where from the moment they got into the module they planned to do the Magius work of wiping it out, they just needed to make sure public opinion would be back on there side hence the newscast and video stuff. If everyone is 100% totally on the level and forthright from the moment they step into that gymnasium then yeah I totally agree that it seems very unlikely, but I don't think that's the case, especially knowing this show. |

Japanese people are quite nationalistic in that aspect, so they will obviously dislike the treatment their copypasta country got. People were not too happy about ORB plotline in SEED AND THAT Code Geass episode out there either. The difference being that in both of those cases the country suffering was portrayed as holy martyr of peace, while in VVV, Jior is a crazy experiment of delusional mad scientists, with braindead vengeful naive yandere schoolgirl as the leader. Can't have that stain glorious japan. |

Japan, I'm sorry, but it's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too late to pretend you have morals with all the twisted shit that's popular over there. Someone from another forum summed it up quite nicely: "too late to show good taste now Japan." Japan has gone really soft in the last decade or so hasn't it? I remember when even ostensibly kids shows used to just be stuff like Hokuto no Ken and Zeta Gundam which were both brutal in their own way. It was just kind of accepted that Japanese cartoons could be more violent because of different tolerance levels in the culture for violence and it was one of the things that made them stand out to a lot of people in the 80's and 90's because American cartoons were seen as tame and corny while Japanese ones were seen as more complex and open to the idea of brutal consequences and more mature themes. So much so was the divide in tolerance levels that sweeping censorship was a regular occurrence when shows like Dragon Ball Z aired on American TV where you couldn't show any blood, maiming or blows to the head whatsoever. Now it almost kind of seems like it's the opposite, kids shows in the U.S are defined by the likes of Beware the Batman and Avatar with their complex themes and writing and in Japan is almost becoming taboo to otaku to have anything other than saccharine cute girls doing cute things. Of course there are still plenty of exceptions, but that really does seem like where Japanese otaku want the baseline to be most of the time. It's just really odd, it feels like trying to have your cake and eat it too, like a reversal of American Gun Culture where violence is okay yet anything sexual is stamped out of all but the latest night TV and HBO shows while in Japan it's risque sexual stuff that is of little worry but violence and brutality is now the problem. Also I think it's fair to ignore rederoins comments now cause it kind of looks like he's trying to stir the pot a little by bringing in irrelevant points of comparison. Plus his claim is false, I do think you raise some interesting points though I would warn against claiming that everyone has the same reason for the rating they gave. I agree that it's hard to see Japan as being in any position to take a moral high ground when it made a show that involves a guy shoving a tooth brush down his sisters throat as she moans in ecstasy one of the best selling and popular anime of all time to name just one example of what I find weird creepy otaku stuff that is celebrated immensely over there. Personally I don't place too much stock in any of what rederoin quoted anyway cause those people aren't me and it's just a number. It's not like I can talk to them or here what they have to say anyway. Personally I don't know why some people feel we should have to care or subscribe to how Japanese otaku feel about anything in particular, but there is a certain group on this site that feels that their opinion and what they buy is the sole measure of good quality and well-informed opinion and that we must all know and put extra weight on how they feel about shit despite again not being them or even coming from the same cultural ethos and background that I don't really identify much with anyway. I'm not really hardcore manic otaku so it's like why should I care too much about what that audience thinks about the shows I enjoy. |

Was over the top melodramatic, and the reason for this turn of events was mediocre. Like no one would question that video of Yukino being real or not and like no one would question that death students i mean those are prove enough that they where Humans. And the way last episode was presented suggested there where at least 80 others countries at that conference certainly some of them can think for themselves and doubt the actions of ARUS and Dorcia. If anything some of those leaders should at least appose them ARUS and Dorcia working together and the massacre of those students. As for the students that they would be set up wasn't that surprising especially during the last few scenes the biggest mistake the made, was Haruto opening his mouth. His naivety caused problems ones again, all he needed to do was keep his mouth shot during that conference but instead he made things worse, but well that's Haruto |

His naivety caused problems ones again, all he needed to do was keep his mouth shot during that conference but instead he made things worse, but well that's Haruto Yeah Yeah blame the guy, ignore the betrayal of the cute girl. Not saying something is the same as admitting guilt. I would still say Haruto's biggest problem/weakness is his dependency on Shouko as i have been saying from S1. I hope this should be gone after this episode. Also whether he opened his mouth or not, the situation would have been the same. The plan was set in motion and there way no way they could have gotten out of it without L-Elf. Shouko didn't realize how the world works and it caused so much lives. The Magius simply showed them "This isn't any child's play" like Shouko thought it was. |

best episode of the Fall. edit... ...coming from an American. Japanese have way different general interests when it comes to Anime. you're all just judging fruits from vegetables. stop wasting your time. edit... I was thinking the same until it was obvious & said that they planned it/set it up. It was a brutal set-up. The only thing I'm left wondering is if the other countries were in on this horrific scheme. |

I think so,I hope that when haruto return to the module he "matures" for a person like l-elf because of the betrayal of the of students and the inuzuka death (rest in peace), and does anyone know the name of the insert song? |

I was expecting that Shuttle that Shoko rode on will be captured by Dorssian after that (Could be a TRAP). You'll never know. Expect the unexpected. I didn't think it was possible to dislike Shouko even more, but it was. I really hope she disappears sometime soon. And he really still loves her....really??? |

Shit writing was acceptable to a degree in the first season when the show wasn't too serious and you could just enjoy the wild ride, but not here where it's trying to be serious. Nothing made sense, so they tried to distract us by shooting up a school of teenagers. What a load of shit this is. |

I love all the hate for Shouko here, since it's so reasonable? I mean, it's definitely not Haruto's fault he never told her that he's immortal. Definitely not his fault he didn't tell others about the Phantom, which will house the rune machine. I mean, those most definitely aren't key factors that SHOULD have been mentioned after ALL of the Valvrave were given pilots. It's not like that information is going to hurt the morale of Module 77. If anything, Shouko selling Haruto over is probably the ONLY redeeming factor of the episode. RIP senpai :c |

This is one of the stupidest episodes I have ever watched. The main problem is that it happened way too fast; all of this should around three episodes. If you start thinking too much then the logic in the episode completely falls apart. |

I was shaken so terribly with this sight of mass student killing. Even in an anime, it is something that i don't want to see anymore. And when i see some coments of people saying they are HAPPY to see this, i lose my fucking hope in humanity... What kind of spoiled fucktards could think like that?! NeoNazi teenagers?! God, save us... Sorry for the vulgar vocabulary. |
Art should be left alone by those unenlightened, raw and uncensored as it is, because enough refinement was already done by it's creator, in it's creation. |

One question. Just one question. How the hell can Haruto still like that fickle bitch Shoko? Get on with your life already. Guess what. There is a hotter girl whom you've fucked previously who just happen to like you more ... |

Sunrise has entered "Kill 'em all" mode. The existence of their young country was a fragile thing, at best. What is a nation without its people? Caught with their pants down with a huge propaganda coup by Dorssia that shady council. One has to wonder though, why nobody from ARUS ever realized that if the students were purportedly immortals, then killing them would be pointless... furthermore, none of the massacre victims revived the way they saw on TV. Intense, to say the least. Shock value is king in this show. |
