So, once in a very blue moon I will rewatch an anime that i have been thinking about a lot. One in particular is Angel Beats, no clue why I want to rewatch it (constantly) but I do :/. So what the question is what is your favourite or what anime you desire most to rewatch or "crave".

I'm pretty sure I've watched the first season of Haruhi at least three times. First in broadcast order, then in chronological order, and sometimes I just rewatch episodes when I feel like it.

Lol. I re-watched Bakemonogatari too much when I first watched it, I didn't re-watch the other ones because I didn't like them as much, but I plan to watch all of them from Bake to Monogatari second season in 1080p HD TV when the BDs of second season are released so don't worry.

Naruto had a bigger gap from my first watch and now, something like 3 to 4 years, I'm not into re-watching stuff but I can make exceptions.

I love re-watching anime. Bakemonogatari will probably be an anime I could keep re-watching and still enjoy it. Nisemonogatari not so much but I plan on re-watching the entire series after everything comes out.

The only anime that I rewatch is Attack on Titan. Watching it through once gives you that "Holy shit that was a really good anime feeling," but if you go through it more than once, you can really see the details the writers put into it.

I don't rewatch often. In fact, I have only ever rewatched Rurouni Kenshin and it's prequel OVA a single time. No offense to anyone who rewatches often, honestly, but I've never been able to understand how some people can, at least they claim to, watch an anime up to 20 times, no matter how much you enjoyed it.

I have seen a lot more anime than is on my list. After the first day of adding things it got boring. So not only have I yet to add quite a few, I have yet to add those I have watched since making the list. I've seen plenty of anime, and sometimes I've seen far more than people who rewatch.

I can understand rewatching to a certain point. I may watch Kenshin Tsuiokuhen, my favorite anime, again in a few years and maybe again a few years later, but constant rewatching is like listening to a song over and over. Eventually the song loses it's appeal and you start wondering why you liked it in the first place (This did happen to me).

I'm not sure, even my most beloved favorites won't make it to 20 or even 15 times in my whole lifetime, I'm pretty sure of that.

Anyway, I've recently started Dragon Ball Kai as a sort of rewatch of DBZ and I've also been craving another rewatch of TTGL lately, but don't have the time currently.
I probably regret this post by now.

I think this comes back to the quality of writing of the anime. If you watch an anime more than once and the second time it loses it's appeal, then the writing is nothing special and technically speaking, that anime should not have gotten your attention to begin with because it was not anything special in general.

Good writing should make you want to come back over and over again. And when you revisit the anime, you will notice things you didn't see the first, second, or even third time viewing it.
For example, Tsuiokuhen is very much the second one: upon more views you'll understand more. I've watched it about three times and I still don't understand every bit of it, but I understand more and I've noticed many of the subtle details put into it that make it even more compelling to me each time I watch it. That is just what good writing is and how it works.

Otherwise, I've seen Welcome to the NHK, Chobits, Spice & Wolf, and Kanon a ridiculous number of times. I think NHK is in the twenties now. I also quite like rewatching School Rumble, Kaze no Stigma, Air, and Death Note.

I have to watch Oreimo at least once a month, from the very beginning to the very end, or else I'll crave watching it.

I really want to rewatch the first shows I've seen that I really enjoyed, but I know if I watch all of them I'll lose a lot of time which I'm currently using to catch up to other anime fans who have been watching for years. So it's a double-edged sword.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

I do this as well. I havent spent much time rewatching any series because

1. I am relatively new to anime and thus:
a. most of the anime I have seen is still fresh in my mind
b. I have plenty that I plan to watch and am really excited to watch those
2. Work/real life
3. I want some time to pass before rewatching because I may change as a person and as a result have a different experience with the anime I have seen.

You might be right on Lovely Complex, that's hands-down my favorite romcom. However, FLCL and Welcome to the NHK reside in completely different genres and have interesting themes. I love it when they don't just throw the meaning in your face, but let you sit and think it out. It's for this reason I love Ergo Proxy shortly after seeing it.
