I can say something of actual use though: Seeing things in an optimistic light is far better than cynically. I wish everyone saw that as a fact rather than an opinion. I mean, what good is it to accentuate the negative? You only bring yourself and those around you down. And no one's happy when they're down in the ground...

It relieves you of some responsibility. I mean if your life is shit you can't blame yourself for it ending up that way if you've managed to convince yourself everything was predestined to be shit anyway.
Ah, yes, self-victimization. Onani Master Kurosawa did a good job depicting that.

Most of us would kill themselves if there wouldn't be something called, "preservation" or "survival instinct".

Life is hard. Its very hard in fact. Its filled with tough times and a whole lot of sad moments. Sometimes, its easy to just break down and cry.
And yet, its worth it. Its tough, sure, but everyday that we face hardships something good can happen too. Maybe something I do makes someone smile. Maybe that guy down the road just found a $5 bill on the ground. Maybe someone got the dream job of their life. So many good things happen. I like to live life and enjoy life, and while it may not always be easy, something good may come down the road, so its always worth living. Pursue your dreams and enjoy life.

Coming up with a witty response to this is suffering.

EDIT: I figured out mah witty response:
Oh...uh....
Life is a plethora of terrors and hardships. It lasts an entire lifetime, and it really does suck. Sure, some good may happen, but so much killing, so much hatred will ultimately take away any joy you have left. Most people will probably never achieve their dreams, and they are doomed to rot away in a coffin after they die, letting the maggots devour their flesh.

I had to be invited to go here, along with having to write multiple essays and answer many questions about myself.

Tell that to the people who've inherited a life of success and security, who will most likely never face the same hardships as us.

Life can be easy, or it can be heard. Your place in life can make a large influence on that.

I had to take a large comprehensive test in math, writing, and reading, and had to write multiple essays about myself and my dreams, answering numerous questions along the way.

I got accepted into college.

And I still think I'm stupid.
Or at least, far from "smart".

I'll admit that I think life is mostly filled with hardships, but for me the hardships teach me a great deal and make the good parts of life more joyous. I guess in the end it's do you exist from hardship to hardship? or do you see the tough times as a stepping stone to happiness and live you life?

Life is hard, it will always be hard, its cruel and unfair. Life is an uphill struggle to an impossible goal. We lie to ourselves just to make our experiences mean more than they do and justify the pain with small amounts of pleasure. When you die, you cease to exist there is no great reward and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

All you can do with your short life is have fun in anyway you want to, as long as your are having fun it doesn't matter that it doesn't go anywhere. So drink, gamble, sleep with prostitutes and take drugs if thats your thing, smoke and eat whatever you want, sin or be an angel doesn't matter, if god is real he isn't interested. Do whatever makes you personally feel good and screw what others think.

Find God. I don't mean this in a religious or Bible bashing sense. It's just that I've found that it's the one thing that truly satisfies that hole in your being that you just can't explain.
Other than that, my view on life is one of perseverance. No one ever got anywhere in life by standing still with there mouth hanging open like an idiot. Grasp your calling in life by both hands and enjoy the ride as much as you can.
The world’s not perfect, but it’s there for us trying the best it can. That’s what makes it so damn beautiful.

Firstly, I will say life can be beautiful at times and at others it just plain sucks. We haven't exactly created an ideal world as humans.

My view on life is a non dogmatic Christian one. I believe in God and the teachings of his prophets and Jesus Christ. I also have a strong respect for science and I am angry at the fact that so many Christians throw away their minds in the name of Christianity. I think this is a sin and partly what has been leading to the downfall of religion.

I consider this life a temporary one and a journey that will ultimately lead to judgement. The deck is increasingly being stacked against the believers of God, but I think this is all part of the test.

I like to look at life in a positive light. Although it can be hard sometimes. I try my best to not take anything for granted, at all. I'm lucky to even be alive and living a healthy lifestyle, compared to how unfortunate a lot of people in this world are.

I believe life is about making choices and living with the consequences of your choices, both the positive and the negative. As well as the search for happiness, as cliché as it may sound; everyone's searching for it in one way or another.
