| I'm confused but excited. I wasn't expecting this at all. This show has a very unique style which I'm certainly not used to. Beautiful animation, just wish I knew what was going on. This anime is a favorite of a lot of people so I'm sure it'll be great |

| Um....okay. The characters are interesting but the story was just all over the place and left me going "I'm 17 and what is this?" I'll give it a couple of more episodes though. |

| Finally started Bakemonogatari,the animation/art is different,not in a bad way I would say it's quite unique.Just lost since I've been meaning to start since January,and don't really know anything about this universe.Idk how to explain I'm amazed and deeply interested yet utterly confused at the same time :D. |

| Rewatching this series in order to get ready for the new season. Oh man, did I miss these characters, <3 For those of you who aren't exactly loving the series yet, try taking a break and then rewatching it. It's a whole different experience the 2nd and 3rd times around. :D |

I dropped it at episode 8 and now, around 6 months later I picked it up again and began from episode 1. It's now one of my favorite franchises ever. |

| Wow, this episode alludes to so many events that aren't revealed until much later, sort of alienates new viewers. Fucking miss this back-and-forth between Gahara & Araragi, new Gahara just isn't as flawless. |
| Fascinating, it's been a while since a first episode had me completely immersed like that. Looking forward to this series, the conversations were witty and it had some intense moments. |

| Yeah, after watching Mahou Shoujo Madoka, I expected weird shit from Shaft. And now I'm satisfied. I don't know what the heck is going on. The animation is really great. They're are again some weird ''paper cut'' type of design. The character are original. I like how she identify herself has a tsundere, without detour. She seem really crazy. |

| Started watching and I have a question for everyone who has seen/is watching Bakemonogatari. Do you pause when they do the text flashes in order to read it? I feel as though if that was the intended screen time, that they didn't want you to get more than what you could subconsciously pick up (almost like all of it is subliminal message based). I can't help but pause now that I've noticed the text actually has a lot to do with the plot. I feel inclined to go back to Ep1 and rewatch the speedy opening scenes where a lot seems to happen but nothing came through for me because all I saw was 5 seconds of brief images and a lot of text flashing by. Thoughts regarding this? EDIT: Oh and one of my friends said Bakemonogatari was hard to grapple with because of a "3deep5me" feel to it. I'm on episode 9 and I can't seem to find it really mind boggling or anything. Though because I was told that, I have doubts every now and then and scry for deeper meaning. |

Thoughts regarding this? The text flashes are excerpts from the Light Novels. You are not bound to read them all, I also skipped the flashing screens during my first watch. But on the other hand, they give a good insight to Araragi's thoughts and a few of his monologues contain some interesting information. So I advise you to read them. It doesn't harm at least + you get a better insight to the characters. EDIT: Oh and one of my friends said Bakemonogatari was hard to grapple with because of a "3deep5me" feel to it. | 'Pretentious' goes with Oshii Mamoru movies, not this. Monogatari series has lots of dialogue for sure, but that doesn't mean it's deep or pretentious. |

| Took me a while to finally get around to watching this. Having a panty shot in the first few seconds of the first episode is not a good sign and it does looks like it will be pretentious. But the episode did go by pretty fast so I did enjoy it. |

| That was pretty... interesting. o_o Shaft style is so strong, hard for me to keep up sometimes. Eveything seems alright so far so I suppose I'll continue on. The first episode didn't exactly PULL me in though. |

| Its starts with a boring but serious mood... but ends with a defile mysterious tone... An Anime not suitable for all ages... It got a sturdy literature for the dialogues. Animation... looks nice but the Dynamics kinda like just for Battles/Fighting stuffs.. It has a Violence-like atmosphere (but not to the point of superb gore). Plot and Characters : Plot has a distinctive order. Different arcs for numerous list of episodes. Characters have a unusual but unique personalities and appearance have a fashion sense of decent modesty and model-like looks . I think this is my First time watching this kind of anime. (I mean by the combination of genres . I have watch several deities , myths or gods type of anime.) I am gonna Look Forward to this series :D |

| Hitagi is creepy and cute at the same time :P Good episode. And OST is great and really unique, animation as well. |
| I watched this show before when I was a lot younger (I have no clue why) and now I'm rewatching it! So far it's decent. Love the stylistic effects. SHAFT's creativity makes shows like Mekaku City Actors poorer but it really shines in this show. |

| Shaft goes overkill, so much hidden text! One would had to pause it to get it all. Luckily, everything is just text taken from the novel and although you can miss some details the main story is told nicely. Though this is really something. I have yet to make my mind about what I feel like about this as Bakemonogatari sure is pretty different anime. |
