Nice revealing of Jade! Asch is getting closer to Natalia. O_O Luke is supposed to be with her. BIG change of Luke changing personality. I find it stupid though just cause he cuts his hair. Guess you can say that according to the time period of this setup. Upon which I find it to be similar to our medieval times. |

| Ah yes, the hair cutting scene. To me that was the highlight of the whole episode, since it will be the start of Luke's change. Just a few things though: - I know that Ion didn't go inside Ortion Cavern with the rest of them, and I clearly remember there was supposed to be a boss fight there. - I still haven't seen Rending Saber... - It was also quite nice to include that flashback about what happened to Asch in the past, and how he became what he is. It also clearly shows just why Asch hates Luke so much, since it was Luke who stole everything from him. Still, it's a great episode overall. So far the show is still quite faithful to the game, and I'm hoping it will be all the way to the end. |

| Sometimes a new haircut is enough to make up. Like after killing thousands X) Cutting one of his ears off, or a finger or two could of been more symbolic, although creepy.. |

| I liked all the drama in this episode. Jade was especially awesome. I hope they continue to develop Natalia and Asch's relationship. Can't wait for next episode. Looks like Guy has some more gynophobic moments! |

| Maybe the best episode so far... I was waiting for the hair cutting scene, which I loved in the game, and Asch's sad past shocked me, I wasn't expecting that. But good to see that, anime became more valuable I think. I finished the game, and I was wondering how can Asch hates Luke that much, that was probably the best answer. Seeing Jade's Father of Fomicry and Guy's Friend for Life titles (actually in the next episode) was also clever part of the anime. I would certainly be the happiest guy alive if I was a knife on Tear's legs. :P |

| Garbage episode. I like that Natalia is smart enough to side with Asch, Luke cutting his hair is trite, done a million times in anime...hopefully I don't have to hear him whining anymore. |

| Tales of the Abyss: 8 & 9 Very good episodes. The story is a bit unclear in mind after not watching for a few weeks (was waiting for Shinsen), and some of the new plot points are confusing me, but both episodes were good to watch. With stunning (for a TV series) visuals, fast pacing and it being a JRPG adaptation, it's hard for me to not get some enjoyment out of each episode. Looking forward to more of the same. I'll probably re-watch the first 13 episodes once the 14th episode comes out. I'm hopeless at remembering stuff; I need to engrave it into my mind with repeated viewings most of the time. |
| This episode really starts the 2nd part of the game, as soon as he cuts his hair. Personally, he looks better with the long hair, and the whole ritual of cutting your hair is rather stupid, oh well. I really should start playing the game again x.x |

I think when people really want to change, the first thing they "attack" is the hair. I've seen this happening to my friends and even with me. Maybe because it's an easy change and people will notice really fast. Anyways, I'm already looking for the game too :) It's getting really interesting, and I can't wait for the episodes to see how this ends XD |

| Well, a haircut really changes the way you look, and the first part of change is outward image. You have to look different. I always thought he should have changed his outfit as well, but I guess RPG characters changing clothes is something that happens only once in a blue moon. |

He should've stabbed himself in the arm or cut it off to show his remorse XD. Pretty alright episode. At least he's changed now. Though, he was only 7 so it's not like his actions meant anything anyway. |
| I guess Luke has also cut his hair to become different from Asch - instinctively. It's hard to be a mere resemblance of somebody cooler, I suppose. Learning the truth influenced Luke a lot. I like that Tear stayed with him - of course she stayed not only because that was her homeland ;) |

| This episode was very memorable to me in the game. Luke's official statement to tear about how he is going to change, leave his old self behind and walk a different path. Everyone who has played the game refers to this as "the hair cutting scene" This is one moment i have NEVER forgotten in the game. This is also where tear and luke's relationship start to develop some. Considering all the things he has done, the destruction of azkurieth and the information relating to the hod war, as seen through asche kind of really opened his eyes to the true reality of the world he lives in, also him knowing that he is only a replica. I mean if your put self in luke's place, you would understand why he went all emo and confused, its just so much information enough to make your mind explode, realizing that your not even a human existence. Everyone is going to love luke from here on and in. Also and if any one who plays the game, this is actually one of the scenes that was fully animated as well. Guess the production team really though it was an important scene so they animated it. I don't remember if this was the first anime scene in the game, there might of been one before it, but my memory is kind of cloudy. Been a while since ive played the game. Also i loved how they detailed the past of asche (the real luke) well linked to replica luke. |
