| So do you guys usually remember character's names in anime? I just noticed that i don't remember any names unless they are unique, follows a pattern, or are thrown in your face all the time (Naruto/Ichigo/ Ect). I don't even remember names from my favorite animes like Code Geass. The only names i can remember from that show are Lelouch, CC, Kallen, and Nunally. I totally forgot who that one guy who piloted Lancelot was called ._. |

| Depends, the more Japanese sounding the name the harder it is to remember. Though with my favorite anime I remember a lot because I've watched them like 8 times. I just recalled the MC from Kore wa Zombie by remembering the one girl calling him Baka ayumu, can't remember her name though. |

| Only for series that I've seen recently...for those that I've seen years ago I could barely remember faces letalone names. The anime must leave a great impression on me to remember something so trivial. Kind of like real life at the moment.. |
| I can remember many names, but not all of them. If I do remember a character's name after a long time, I'm probably going to remember it forever. Still, I've got through some series without ever learning all their names. Some series that I liked like Bokurano have had me forget everyone's name within 3 days of finishing. |
| It varies. For example I only remember Jun from the anime Happiness, because he was the only redeeming factor of the show. But I remember all the names from my favourties, and most names from anime that I liked (Generally speaking). |

| I'm usually great with names, so yup. Although it took me a flipping long time to differentiate between Kiritsugu, Kirei, and Kariya in Fate/Zero. And I kept thinking that Tohsaka and Tokiomi were different people, haha. |

| Depends on how long the anime is. I tend to remember names from longer anime better because I'm exposed to them more. I also remember names better from anime I watched a long time ago. I can seriously recognize about 80-90% of the names from Yu Yu Hakusho (even really unimportant characters), but when it comes to something like Cromartie High School (in my top 5 anime), I can remember only a few names. |

| I tend to remember the names of characters I really like, or names of characters from the anime I really enjoy. And obviously then there are the characters nearly everyone knows the names of, regardless of whether you have seen the anime or not (e.g. Guts, Rem, Light, Saber, Yuno and etc). Also some characters you remember just because their names are a bit silly and they are easy to remember (Rock Lee, Lelouch). But, like, there's no way you will remember the names of every character from every anime you have seen. Especially if it's something you've only seen once/didn't like. |

| It really depends on the show, and if I read the manga later on and if the manga is already finished. For example: naruto I remember most characters, it is too long so u learn well... but even though minor characters I don't remember (I don't think I know all the people from akatsuki) Bleach even though is long, I just remember a name of a few captains (and I even forgot the name of the group of people that are shinigami plus hollow) Thinking carefully I don't remember most people from the animes I am watching right now - Chihayafuru I just remember 3 people's name/ Ansatsu Kuyoshitsu - 6-7 characters/ Made in Abyss like 3 or 4 - of course when I watch the episode everything comes back to my head, but I can't remember on my own |
