| I'll tell you why the sequels are at #1 and #2, it's because people have carried over from the original. Think about it, people who dislike Gintama are not gonna trawl through the 200+ episodes of the original only to then watch the sequels. The sequels act as a "filter". This is also why Clannad After Story is so high. |

| Rankings in a media filled with different genre that is incomparable to each other should not be taken seriously. In my opinion Gintama is the roof of comedy genre which is the most popular genre that caters to most people, I think that is the reason of it being number 1 in the charts. |

| All you did was attract Gintama wankers and Gintama haters who will add it to their entries and give it a 1/10. With that being said, MAL rankings are shit. If the general consensus of an anime being top tier significantly trumps another series, it should have a higher ranking than something far less popular. It's not my favorite anime, but FMA Brotherhood should be ranked #1. I don't even like Steins;Gate, but I'd give it (along with Clannad After Story) a nod over Gintama' and the new series as well. |
