A big part of Anime for me is reminiscing on how it was to watch the show. I used to finish a show, then immediately update my list and slap a rating on it. Recently I have been looking back at some ratings and come to realize that they are not accurate to how I feel about the show so I have attached a 1 week rule to myself. I have to wait 1 week to see how the Anime feels after the fact.

Maybe I'm weird for that but I'm curious as to what others do.

I rate them straight after I watch them too, although I do sometimes reconsider and alter my ratings later on.

After/while watching i rate the anime. Then when i can't sleep or just bored, i always think of how the anime was compared to other animes and their ratings, and from there i sometimes change the rating to the better/worse.

I usually rate it right after the first episode based on my first impression, then change that rating as I continue watching.

I rate the anime as soon as I finish it, but on occasion, I do go back and change the rating. I like the idea of waiting a week though. I feel like if the anime has a good ending the rating will be bumped higher, but if you wait a week, you will be able to see the anime as a whole rather than what you just watched.

Probably a few hours, after I properly analyze it. But there are some shows that are so good Ex: Steins;Gate that I would instantly rate positively and there are some that are so bad ex: Anohana that I rate it negatively as well. It depends on the show.

I rate as soon as I finish it. This way my rating wont be influenced by outside sources.

I very rarely go back to change a rating. I feel it does a disservice to the show since I gave a show its rating for a reason.

This is how I rate my anime too. Unless it is a long running series with no end in sight like One Piece

I rate right after I finish an anime too, since I usually form an idea of the mark during the last 3 or so episodes (actually this is a downside to the rating system, since you start rating everything you see, even subconsciously sometimes, instead of emphasizing words or impressions).

I typically give initial ratings after 2-4 episodes and then adjust them as the series goes on.

Pretty much the same here. Sometimes I might go back and re-rate a show later depending on how well (or not so well) I feel it holds up to me.

I rate it after i have completed another anime.
why? well because it allows time to think about how good it was and how it compares to other anime.
e.g: i would have given code Geass R2 a 10 if i rated it afterwards due to the brilliant ending and drama. But after thinking about it and comparing it to the (imo) superior R1, i decided to rate it a 9.
Though, i would've preferred the ratings to be more precise (to one decimal place) it would be give a more fair reflection.

I rate right before the final episode and then change it if the end was deserving of a point increase.
Usually though I go back and change them a few weeks after if they were just not that good.

Manga though, I rate as I go along...

I rate usually give it a rating sometime during the first three episodes based on my current impression. After that I just change the rating as the show progresses based on how I feel about it at each point before kind of averaging up my overall rating of the show when I watch the last episode. Sometimes I'll slightly up my rating if the ending was amazing, but the score's usually consistent with what I felt it deserved throughout. Something like that.

I usually start off shows at 6 if I think they're okay/like them, 5 is they're meh, 7 if they're good. I then tend to not change the score till I finish the show, which I then rate it accordingly. Sometimes I come back though and think, "what the hell was I smoking?" and have to change the score.

I'm a "rate as I go" person.I'm may change the rating after a certain amount of time after I finish a series ( a retrospective look).

I rate the shows I watch after I finish and add to list. My guidelines for my ratings are below.

If the drawings are nice and the best girl wins, 10/10
If the drawings are bad and the best girl wins, 8-9/10
if the drawings are nice and the slut wins, 7/10
If the drawings are bad and the slut wins, 6/10
If the drawings are nice and harem ending, 7-8/10
If the drawings are bad and harem ending, 6/10

Bonus points (+1):
Harem end but MC obviously preferred the best girl.
Diverse character designs and personalities.
Excellent use of colors that appeal to me.
The hiring of voice actors that I approve of.
Best girl is also a loli.
Good Sound track.

Penalty Points (-1):
Too much ecchi, unnecessary fan service.
Bad MC.
The best girl dies.

it takes hours to watch a series but a couple minutes to rate it after finishing the series. i believe you would rate something at least 6 if u sat through an actual series to finish it. other else why would u continue watching it?

that's a bit weak coming from someone who's only watched 9 anime. I've finished bad series just for the sake of finishing them. You can't truly voice your opinion about something until you've at least seen a third of it (unless we're counting long series like one piece) and if you can stick to an anime for that long then it'd feel like a waste to just drop it without even seeing the conclusion.

I rate them when I just finished it, then I re-think my rating after I complete another series.

I usually go with the (*) after the number on the rating system. So a 6 is "Fine" for me, it isn't bad.

Usually give them a couple eps and then start rating, adjusting as I go. Sometimes go back and adjust it after I've been away from it for a while.

This.

As for series I haven't finished watching, I wait until I'm 1/5 of the way through, then I give it an initial rating, which usually doesn't change until it's completed. If something really changes, then I'll adjust it.

Usually try to rate after around 5 eps then i adjust throughout the show as my opinion changes. As i finish the series i give it my semi-final rating which is usually then changed several times a few weeks later as i compare it to other series I've watched.

As soon as I finish, unless the earlier episodes are so good I'm absolutely sure it can't go below x score. All my ratings are subject to change, though, except for most of my 10s. Things get changed downwards fairly often as time gives me a bit of a better view.

Once I'm halfway done with a series (12 episodes - episode 6, 24 episodes - episode 12) then I put in my rating, even with airing series. I figure the halfway point is usually a good time to score it. Plus it can always be changed when I'm done with the series.

I rate shows as soon as I complete them. I also keep a list in a spreadsheet, so I can rank them from top to bottom (best to worst). Every time I finish a series/anime, I glance through my rankings and ratings to make sure my feelings haven't changed on any of the anime I have completed. I adjust where I need to, so my rankings are always up to date. Some anime have climbed after my initial ranking and some have fallen. Usually, only a few spots though.
