I have watched countless school anime and to this day I feel like I am no where near as social as these anime characters.

I go out and hang with my buddies but not to the extent these anime characters have. These characters are going to the pool, amusement parks, each other houses at god forsaken times, camping and have the whole classroom unity thing. I don't know maybe I am not as social as I think but I feel totally left out Like I could be doing so much more with my friends then watching to the movies and stuff.he friends in anime are super loyal and will go the ends of the Earth to help you but my friends are really cool but not that dedicated

Its starting to get me wishing I was an anime character or something. Weird but what are your thoughts?

yah i could only wish to do as much shit as anime characters do

to be fair, these anime characters are shown doing this stuff over the course of time, like 3 episodes = a few months in many 12 ep shows, so in reality we are doing as much as them just not as much

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I thought you mean do you feel less social because you watch/love anime to the extent where you have no motivation to talk to people or some shit.

They are T.V shows, you cant compare them whatsoever with real life.

i have no evidence to confirm this but, isn't it kinda of a rule in japan to join clubs and sports and the like?

and yea these events are separated by months so its not a daily or weekly thing, but their doing much more, probably 3 times as much more than the average person in RL

Not really, I have some pretty cool friends to hang with. However, none of them really watch any anime(besides Americanized ones) so there's a limit to what we do together.
The one thing that I'd love to see is a lesbian yandere.

i think my problem with that is my friends are really fucking dull and dont do anything crazy. Only one of them became really fun after watching daily lives of high school boys and he started imitating it but it soon got old fast and now hes more annoying than fun

so my solution is need new friends

I go to my friend's houses and leech off food and drink, but like only once per month during the summer when we don't have school.

The going to the beach/pool/hotspring thing seem more like an anime-specific trope than anyone "normal" would do, even students in Japan. Amusement parks are also more common for dates than just a friends gathering, from what I've seen. Classroom unity is also pretty rare.

In the end, anime offers a nice route of escapism for anyone who needs it. When I was younger I wanted to be an anime character, but now I just don't think about it. Yes, it would be nice to live in neo-Venezia but the reality I'm in isn't terribly bad for me to wish for it.

I do understand the feeling when it comes to friends though. When I saw Great Teacher Onizuka, I wanted a best friend thing going on between Onizuka and his buddy. Sadly life doesn't always put you in the perfect circumstances a writer would to his fictional characters, but I have enough good friends to make do.

Watch an average Slice of Life show and you'll see that most (/all) of what goes on therein is painfully boring. The show is entertaining regardless because of the unique perspective it assumes. Your own life would seem something to be envious of if it had interesting music cues, dramatic lighting and chunks of boring, every-day stuff taken out of it.
