| I haven't seen any of those anime that was used as comparisons however this was a sudden twist to the series. I would rather watch Cross Game than the others and I've never heard of Touch until today ill check it out |

| Oh no, after this episode the Grey has kind of a 80% of chance of being who I thought it was in the first epi! Unless Kakeru has some kind of "not yet disclosured" stalker that saw that "he lacks heart" conversation since I don't believe it was his brother. =/ I won't spoil anymore with my especulations (yeah right, everyone must be thinking the same as I now). By the way "soccer is not a sport for those with weak hearts", classic cheesy shounen line but I liked it. xD And Nana talking that classic shounen technical gibberish "so if they take people from the left to mark someone there'll be a space on the left, Nana you know all about soccer" lol I love those kinda comments in sports anime! xD And wth was up with my subs calling Sugeru's position as "conductor"? xD Felt weird. So now we know why epi 1 ended with "that was the last time I've played with my bro". But maybe Sugeru don't die, he only gets incapacitated to play! ("only"? O.o) And then Kakeru will quit the quitting xD and "play for his brother dream", yeah I can see that happening. Although he was also caught in the accident huh? And lol, a white brazillian only exists in the dream sequence! xD A blond at that! xD I wonder if we'll have foreigners funny-speak in their own language as Giant Killing had. To hear the brazillians of Giant Killing speaking portuguese (my mother tongue!) during the episodes was so funny! xD Ok, I guess that was all I had to say, I'm really excited with that anime that's why I ranted so much. I need to control myself in the future! lol |
| Another nice episode, and I guess this is gonna be the end of the road for Suguru which suck because he's one of my favs on the show. It's nice to see some background of why Kakeru doesn't use his left foot, however I think his excuse is a bit lame from an athlete's perspective. In other words injuries/accidents happen... that's football, you move on and do what you gotta do to succeed. |

Giant Killing had good animation but I don't think it's the right style for these characters, especially since they're in middle school and not in their 20s+. no... you got it wrong. I meant Giant killing staffs really did a good job for animating a football match (not the characters). not like many football anime before Giant killing, the animation of the game really smooth and surreal. |

| I dont think this has much potential. Soon we will get flashbacks, or even worse, whole episodes of flashbacks. The whole plot seems very predictable even at this point. |
| I'm mostly enjoying the series on the Slice of Life side, but this was a good epispde, and killing Suguru would be stupid plot twist. |

The allure of sports anime for many is the characters and the trials and triumphs they go through with sports being the catalyst. |

For a kid, I think it is especially hard. Even for an older person, some guilt is bound to surface. Anyways, I like the anime so far, and I think its pretty good. I've read spoilers so I know what happens now, but it was still hard to see, especially after they started getting along. |

| At least the subgroup did it right with Suguru saying, that all his brother needed was heart. Just started the manga, because I couldn't wait and there they translated it with "Confidence" which doesn't seem quite as good, if you think about what's going to happen. |
