Too weak in plot wise... Damn, I kinda feel like Claymore's too predictable now. Miria's likely going to awaken in next chap and maybe deal an instant fatal blow on Hysteria. Though I'm not sure if Miria did manage to kill her in the last page when she used her new technique :D Hysteria must DIE!!! *evil smirks*

at this point I don't think Miria is going to partially/fully Awaken. though we do kinda see her face looking like Luciela/Hellcat-Awakened-like face when she ddi her new speed increase, and her face now looks like its peeling off... unless those are jsut basic cuts upon her face, lol

we learn finally practically in full now how the Phantom Step works: Miria does a near 80% YR Burst of Yoki.

it's more that she's merely doing the "QS" but with her legs, and she's finally found the courage to try 80% or more YR, and of course she's trying it in terms of her Bursts of yoki, unlike everyone else as Miria seems to be the only one who uses Bursts of Yoki (can Miria ONLY use Bursts of Yoki, and is unable to use Yoki normally/non-Burst like everyone else? hmm).

I don't think she's going to partially or full Awaken from what we see in this chapter, I think Miria will probably be able to control the Yoki/Yoma power, whereas Hysteria will be forced to use 80% or more YR, which she won't be able to handle, as she's not a HA like Miria is, at least this is my understanding of Miria's strategy... though if Hysteria Awakens... doesn't that kinda make the situation even worse... with Hysteria now being even more powerful... as an Awakened.. lol and meh..

the question is:

is Hysteria only using like 10% YR and thus using 70% YR should be able to presumably easily handle Miria... or is Hysteria already using like 70% YR and thus now Miria is going to push her to or beyond 80% YR which Hysteria won't be able to handle like Miria can ??

Somehow I have the feeling that this fight (with all 3 of them) will drag on for at least few more chapters... Most likely we will not see it's conclusion in this year.
Still, Miria did pretty good - her enemy can't be so full of herself anymore.

Lol, I already forgot that Clare even exists, I wonder when we will see her again... It's not like I miss her, my favorite character was always Miria so I'm pretty happy that she's the "main" character now.

It's kinda obvious that Miria will win, I just hope nothing bad will happen to her afterwards.

I was also wondering what will happen after they defeat the Organization... The rescue of Clare or something?

other people disagree, and they use this point for it:

(paraphrasing) Hysteria appears to not be using any YR thus far, and yet poor Miria has to use or exceed 80% YR, just to finally get a cut on Hysteria.

Miria was and is still f'ed... as all Hysteria has to do is YR. Miria never had a chance to begin with...

it's similar to Teresa vs Priscilla... it took 70% YR of Priscilla just to get a cut upon No YR Teresa...

I guess... Miria can hope for the same outcome... and end up decapitating Hysteria, as Priscilla did to Teresa...

Rank 10 Raftela's (Yoki) Abilities:

1. Senses Yoki Manipulation Ability: messes up target's depth perception with their sight (Raftela vs Miria, and maybe Raftela vs Cassandra*)

2. Mind/Brain Yoki Manipulation Ability: causes hallucinations in the target (Raftela vs Miria. Theorizingly, the Destroyer has this Ability too, causing Clare to hallucinate)

*maybe - ch 118 - the text seems to be saying Raftela can do this #3 Yoki Ability, but maybe she's just messing with Cassandra's Senses too, which would be #1 Yoki Ability.

*3. Physical Yoki Manipulation Ability: able to slightly move/control the body and/or the attack's trajectory of the target. (Raftela vs Cassandra. This is the same Ability that Galatea uses against Dauf)

100 years / 14 Eras = ~7 years per Era

Teresa is the 77th Generation and 182 Warrior. I take "Generation" to mean Year and 182 to be # of Claymore to be given a rank (Trainee to Ranked, mission assigned, Claymore)

77 / 7 = 11th Era = Teresa's Era

I put Hysteria's where it is, because Miria says EVERYONE knows about Hysteria and Rockwell Hill. Since EVERYONE knows about it, I feel it couldn't be in the distant past, as only a few high rank Claymores know about past, and especially distant past, history.

@HegemonKhan Eh? Wasn't Katea/Kate the #32? It's stated in the datebooks. She was the one sent to Witch's Maw and got killed by Dauf if I recall.

I had thought I had seen long ago within the manga of Katea being rank 32, but I haven't been able to find it again since, maybe it might have been a different translation where I saw it, but I can't find any translation that has Katea as rank 32. All the translations I have been looking at say she's rank 30, but not rank 32.

So, I don't know if it's said in the manga, and I just can't find where, or if it was never said, or if it was only a single old translation which said Katea was rank 32.

Or, it is possible that within the anime they say Katea is rank 32, and I'm confusing this with the manga, but I haven't checked the anime to see on this, if it mentions she's rank 32 or whatever within the anime.

If you perchance know where in the *manga* (not the databook) that it says Katea is rank 32 (if it does say so), please let me know where!

while it's possible that Katea was rank 30, died in the Witches Maw, and then we have Wendy as the rank 30 during the Pieta Battle, I find this very unlikely, that Katea was rank 30 and was then replaced by Wendy as the new rank 30.

rank 32 is conveniently avalable, but along with also available ranks 33, 34, and 38 for the 30's.

Kate and Katea are two different Claymores

Katea was apart of Rank 9 Jean's team that went to Zakol Mtns in Luatrec (western land), who had Awakened in the Witches Maw chapters and was smash-killed by Dauf

Kate was apart of Rank 7 Eva's team in Alphonse (northern land) which found and was wiped out by Isley's 31 male AB army, which however, made the Organization aware of Isley, and responded with sending their 24 troublesome Claymores to delay Isley long enough for Alicia+Beth to complete their Soul Link Ability at 100% YR and Full Awakening of Alicia.

Why yes, While it's true manga hasn't clearly stated Katea's number, she was at 30's not 30 (I guess the blame goes to lame translations XD). Um... I can't read/speak Japanase, but I did have some discussions regarding traslations vs Viz's English versions in the past and I have some friends who can read Japanase too. I can't really tell how the Viz's version translated them (since I haven't bought it due to my empty wallet), but trust me... they ensured me she was at 30's and that convinced me since the org couldn't have replaced her place for "Wendy" that quickly. I mean, we've never seen a single warrior being promoted/downgraded even if there death had been confirmed months ago in case of Ophelia.

Or to just make it short, here I got two different translations from two different manga sites.

As seen, the former states Katea was number 30, while the latter says Katea was at 30s but to be honest, I would go for the latter (man if I knew how poorly the first translation is done... *shivers*). Anyways, sorry I can't give you a very solid evidence "inside" the manga, but I can offer with databooks we where just talking about. Though we need translations. Jeez, can anyone tell me how to mark spoiler tags?

I know it ain't a very reliable source nor does it prove it was done by Yagi, but I think/find their too precise even marking each one of there symbols and rankings FWIW.

My bad... yeah, your right. I just couldn't recall her (Kate) since she only made her appearance once in the northern land ^^;

1. actually, if the manga did (old version-translation) or does (new/current-version translation) had Katea listed as specifically Rank 32, I have a possibly "inkling-memory" that it was actually elsewhere in the manga, in a very obscure location (and thus why I haven't re-found it yet, if it is there, lol), and not the location you just cited, as that's the well-known location, which in my memory has never said rank 32. If the manga mentions/mentioned that Katea is specifically rank 32, it's somewhere else, obscurely so, within the manga, some obscure chapter and page number, which I haven't been able to re-find (if it does exist).

2. It's my understanding/theory that Claymores are actually rarely immediately replaced. Instead, there's a mass-wave of replacement all at once.

as you brought up, Ophelia was not replaced, instead the Org waited for the additional deaths of the 17 out of the 24 Claymores at the Pieta Battle, before they issued all the new Claymores, which I mark as the end of "Clare's Era" into the new "Clarice's Era".

there's many other examples of dead/missing/rebelling Claymores not being replaced immediately either. Ophelia is not the only one.

but, to be fair, there are some examples of some Claymores at least being moved/promoted to fill the empty ranks (but this still leaves an empty weaker rank not being replaced), and maybe there's some actual new Claymore replacements but I can't think of any off the top of my head at the moment, grr.

1. Well I don't like to jump into conclusions that Katea was number 32 either with no solid proof she WAS within the manga's range (I know... databooks' info weren't very convincing this time). I just tried pop up other sources to make us have some knowledge and/or other possibilites she could have been placed at rank 32, nothing more (though I couldn't help it but rely on them since they where in Japanase). but yes, nowhere inside the manga where mentioned her exact position, not even in obscure pages (mind you). Anyways, we are trying to only speculate here... which it makes them worth discussing too :D

2. My point exactly ;) I believe the org members just leave there positions vacant until someone stronger takes its position; and as you've mentioned it, I guess the only exception came when Rafaela replaced Noel being promoted to number 5.

Despite Raftela’s purpose being specifically to counter Claymores her desired to be part of the group came out as ironic, like wow how incompetent can the Organization get?
The Organization should’ve used someone different, someone touched in the head like Ophelia for that role hahah.
