| Finally got around to watching this because UTW subs came out. Great ending! It made me feel warm inside. 10/10 By the way, this ending (and C's ending) brought noitamina to 3.2% viewership rating. When taking an average rating of the 1-hour block, this is noitamina's best performance over the past 5 seasons. Ano Hana's Blu-ray and DVD orders have also shot up dramatically since the final episode's airing. |

| I really love it when they were playing hide and seek with Menma. That's sad on so many levels. The only complaint I have is that everybody came to terms with their feelings so quickly; it's almost unrealistic. Nevertheless I'm touched by their feelings, especially Tsuruko when she revealed that it was Anaru and not Menma she was jealous of all along. |

| I loved this anime and I really liked the ending. Even though it was sad and made me cry. :'( One thing I had been hoping for was that the others would be able to see her in the end, which they did. So that made me happy (while still bawling about it XD). 10/10 |

| Near perfect ending I'd say. When they started reading the letters written by Menma and the ED music began to play I could barely hold back the tears. Extremely enjoyable anime from the first episode until the last with lots of emotional moments. The voice actors did an incredible job and I liked all of the characters. Hurr, drama and crying in my drama anime - must be forced. |

Easily the best anime I've seen this year so far. I've watched the episode 3 times. 2 times with Doki subs and waited for UTW to watch it a third time. Even during the third time I was tearing up during Poppo's begging Jintan and at the end by the tree. UTW did a better job with the letters and dialogue. They also got Anaru's letter right. "steady" was a better word than "level-headed" because the Japanese word can defined more as being dependable than emotionally stable. As we all know. Anaru was not emotionally level-headed. |
| What a amazing anime. Oringally it wasn't on my spring list of anime to watch, but I'm glad I decided to pick it up because it is easily the best anime of the spring. 10/10. Next I would like to see an OVA or a live action movie. |

| Ahh! I enjoyed that! Admittedly, I only started watching it on the strength of Mike and Jacob from Fakku's recommendation. And it was totally worth it! A nice little story that didn't rush or drag and wrapped up nicely. Easy to remember characters (esp. their nicknames), and the atmosphere (with the musics help) was rich. Yey! |

Anaru wears shorts under her skirt. LOL!!! In the end the show gets a failrly good score by me but can't give it a top score because the drama many times felt pulled by the hair and forced. Also it gave the feeling of a drama that may well touch a teenager or a child but not really a dramatic show for grown-ups. Not that a grown-up can't feel it but a grown-up feels the unnatural not so real over-attempted dramatic plot too. Still better than the moe childish drama Key shows pull out of their ass. |

| I like the ending. It was simple and effective. I never felt as if it need a grand ending, especially when it has been grand throughout the series with the drama and the development of the characters. The fact that it ended in a simple manner is all it needed for the series. I'm satisfied with it. I don't need the explanation for why Menma came as a ghost. Heck, why do I need an explanation for something that cannot be explained anyway? (It's a fucking ghost). Only thing I would agree on is the aftermath, but I chalk it down to an open ending. The characters are shown to be happy, but where the development is concerned as a whole with them, is left up to our imagination. Nothing was rushed. | Awesome ending! Menma real wish was not only to bring everyone back together again, but make them more honest with one another in regards to their feelings. The confession at the temple was the transition point in which Menma began to "go to heaven". Menma's goodbye at the end as the sun rises was the perfect icing on the cake. Everyone: "We found you!"  Menma: "You found me... " *smiles* Needless to say, I was really touched. MENMA SUKI-DAAA! ... I'm going to miss the show! *cries* |

| Ending was retarded. I'm sorry, but that was just ridiculous and way over the top. Some parts were good, and then those 'good' parts were taken way out of context. I'm rating the anime an 6 only because it really possessed some amazing moments. |

| This show was amazing, I think even the best of the season. The characters and their development is so great and it's so emotional and does feel realistic even though Menma is a ghost (or something like that). This is the only show this season that is once rewatching worth. |

I agree that the entirety of the anime was well executed, and realistic (to a point) for the first 10 episodes, but the last episode just ruined all hope I had for it. |

I have seen a few dramatic moments in anime, but this turned out to be a very poorly executed. In fact it was so bad, it made me laugh. And then in the next moment everything snapped back to normal when Anaru's eyelashes came off. |
| As I stated, I thought the first 10 episodes were realistic to a point. It was the last episode that did the series in for me. The crying was excessive and just over the top. The emotion wrought from Menma's disappearing existence was laughable at best. Everything was just taken way too out astray. Nothing in episode 11 was believable. Not to mention the way everything was patched up... I mean, it just felt all too contrived. |

| The anime is 8/10 for me in spite of the fact I didn't like most of the last episode (except for Menma of course). I liked Jin-tan from the previous episode when he finally realized he wanted Menma to stay rather than having her attain nirvana. That was the high point in his relationship with Menma which is what made me come back week after week. Other than that the episode with Jin-tan and Anaru in school was good. The other characters didn't really interest me that much. And all five of them were over dramatic in the final episode. I am so glad Menma's wish was actually her own promise to Jin-tan's mother rather than some stupid fireworks or worse her friends preparing their hearts to wish her away into nirvana which I simply can't fathom as being the solution to all their selfish motives. She was the one who chose to stay longer to say the final goodbye. The ending would have sucked horribly if her attaining nirvana was entirely in the hands of her friends. I have no idea of how a person reborn in Buddhism is supposed to remember her previous life and meet up with old acquaintances so the final scene made me very sad as it felt like Menma was dying again. It felt like the last time people would meet a terminal friend before death. Finally the whole thing about rebirth reminds me slightly of Kobato. |

| I watched this a second time and it made me cry even more TBH. I got drenched in tears and had to take some breathers. It hit even harder when I got to understand the following in the spoiler Furthermore if all this was a Miracle there certainly may be a regret of God therefore him letting the mother's promise that Menma made come true and as well for Menma to confirm herself that everyone has not forgotten her and still love her. The flower we saw that day may referrer to Menma. Being very beautiful and calm with a radiance. It may be no surprise that she may be that flower they saw that day. |
