| It wasn't bad, the unmanned IS seems pretty classy. I was waiting for a new male character, because all those girls "in love" with one boy...That was more annoying. To return to this new character, he is French! (One point!) and it seems he has a secret! (Two point!). He could earn a third point BUT his name is quite shitty... Waiting for a better episode for next time with this French dude! |

| Now this is a major surprise. Ichika actually realized that Rin's promise could have had a other meaning, so he does have a form of intellect after all. I'll be back in 5 minutes making a phone call to CNN. This was a nice fight with that drone interfering. Tho that the drone had a unregistered core came as no surprise since not only the scientist that made them is missing but also several country's are trying to unravel the secrets behind those core. So it's not surprising that eventually more country's will show up that know how to make this technology and might even have improved versions of it. It's a super weapon so it could be compared to nuclear weapons there technology was also figured out pretty fast by other country's. Just look at how many country's already possessed a nuclear program during the 60's. Stealth technology is also developed now in several country's to give a other example. Country's will set there top scientists on programs to unravel such super weapons because not having them puts them in a major disadvantage against country's that do have them. The only thing i am wondering about is the way the drone was attacking it seemed to me that it was more of a observer then a attacker. Why would you make a drone that is capable to infiltrate a highly secured facility and hack a advanced security system just to observe? Cecilia's entry into the infirmary was very cute and funny. Tho with Houki also entering it turned into a fight again and Ichika obviously didn't know where they where fighting about. Chifuyu is also a nice character and it was actually refreshing to see her blush after she was told that she put salt in her coffee. That scene made me wonder tho why would you put the salt next the the sugar on a plate with coffee on it? Chifuyu is pretty strict calm and doesn't show much emotion and it always looks like she is expecting how Ichika would perform. And like many of you said that new transfer student is definitely a girl. |
| Like many, I think a lot of the cliches of this show is the girls fault at this point, not ichika's. They are choosing the WRONG times to act TSUN TSUN. Rin, Ichika is trying to save your ass, WHY in the hell are you complaining about him holding you? But then you get mad cause he doesn't get the hint you want to marry him? Bullshit. You too Houki. He's doing this to keep YOUR ass safe, why in the hell you put yourself in danger outside just to tell him he isn't a man cause he's losing a little bit. And some of you wonder why he's so oblivious to their feelings? Cecilia is winning so far if you ask me, at least she's showing him some affection without a slap or harsh words after-words. |

| Yay for plot developement! Good to finally see a real enemy and some real action too. Would be nice if Rin and Ichika could finish their battle though, but oh well. The enemy mech looked awesome though. So it seems that besides human piloted IS's there's also core powered IS's. Would like to learn more about those! ^^ There were some great Ichika x Rin scenes in this one as well. Primarily him holding her to save her from a laser beam and her trying to kiss him when he was asleep. =P Nice episode overall! | While the actual fighting scenes were pretty neat, I can't stand the shounen talking and descriptions of every single movement or attack, and most of the dialogue is just a joke. Next episode throws in boy love or perhaps reverse trap? Great, this series isn't cliche enough. |

| 2/3rds of this thread is made of people who doesn't like the show. The rest 1/3rd, only 1/5th of which actually wanted to follow the plot. Anyway, one wish: Houki, make yourself useful next time. I believe Cecilia got out due to the same reason Houki made it outside: they cracked the system lockdown and even Chifuyu made it clear that, were it not for the lockdown, she'd let Cecilia in. The cavalry presumably finished what the trio left off. Damn drone won't fcking die. Also the rabbit-eared girl in the OP=Houki's sis. Watch ep 1 again when they mention her, there's a silhouette of a girl with bunny ears (reminds me of the TVTrope entry "Bunny Ears Lawyer" heh). So Byakushiki (Type 100 eh, how Japanese) can convert energy fired to itself to recharge systems? Wait, isn't that potentially gamebreaking? Probably THAT's why he can't really use it in Tourneys because it's illegal? Agree to whomever said that awkward conversations in mid-battle=lulz. So now the format is one ep corny, one ep action. So probably nothing to see for next week? If they can integrate silly elements and serious ones seamlessly, then kudos. | Looks like we're hitting the beginning of the main plot. It doesn't really seem like a plot kind of show so that may or may not be a big deal. I was not a fan of Houki's behavior in this episode. Bitch, can't you see the man's fighting for his life. Not the time to this. I mean really? Who explicitly runs, finding a way to get onto the battlefield, just so they can be condescending. "An opponent of this level" my ass. Can't she see it has cannons everywhere? Far more firepower than IS have previously been shown to have. Not to mention invincible until they get its' hitpoints down... Plus he was starting the battle in critical condition. This while piloting a robot who's special power is the ability to cast from HP. At the very least, if she was going come give her little speech, she should have grabbed one of the training units first. Lend a freaking hand. Blondie knew how to do it. After today's episode I think we lose the right to complain about hero not knowing what the sweet and sour pork meant. She didn't present the idea in a way that meant anything too deep beyond it, and then explicitly stated it was just to help make her a better cook. Yes, he could read messages into it if he wanted, but it's all pretty appropriate of a friends level relationship, which he believes they have. |

If you're gonna switch genders, try and look like you're actually a man and not just a flat chick in pants. Introducing another male kills that -The preview stated "he" was intelligent, kind, and showed "him" as pretty much a nice person. If you're going to bring in another male character in a harem anime, he is either 1. The jerkass rival or 2. The butt monkey bro. The character in preview fits none of these. Seeing how generic this anime has been, it trying to do something fresh is highly unlikely for those wondering why I'm pointing out cliches. |

| As much as the harem elements irritate me, as a stand alone mecha anime this is an entertaining show. The fight scenes are so ridiculously well animated that I'm prepared to overlook the plot and scenario to a certain extent. This is kind of flickering between 7/10 and 9/10 for me, depending on how much the action improves/cools down in future episodes as the budget runs thin, and how annoying the harem continues to be. Episode 3 was garbage, but this episode revived my faith in the series and I'm looking forward to future episodes now. |

| lol, i wish sometimes they had male relief characters that were not idiots or complete perverts... or apparently traps this time. I loved the battles a lot. While i agree the deredere in the middle there was silly, it didn't bother me that much. Was i the only one that thought that Ichika's very lame in the terms of abilities? | More action, more plot, less harem, and this show could be good. This episode was lightyears better than the last one. Or maybe I'm just getting too used to mediocrity. During the battle I actually started to like the characters, but afterwards I started to dislike them again, so what can you do? The IS coming back to life was just such a weak plot device used to get Ichika in the hospital... Looks like we're back to social interactions next episode. Bleh... I want more battles. The transfer student looks lame. Britain, China, and now France. Do we get America as well? I'd just love to see their portrayal. |

"The IS stopped moving". Really? so it rebooted, came back to life, and then just suddenly flopped over dead again without cause or reason? I'm also waiting for an explanation of how his IS absorbs energy weapons and what the limitations are. It sounds like a kind of ridiculous power, especially considering that when the previous attacks hit him he was hurt like normal. Perhaps he has to catch it right between those shoulder dealies? |
