| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Goku is, for some reason (somehow feels like it's not just the promise they did in ep. 1), precious for the three of them that they sacrificed their lives. Goku is sad and Bosatsu made him forget the memory and get him closed for a long time with a seal until Sanzo (Gonzen's incarnation) came to bring him back (when the seal is broken by itself)... What a nice story. Though, how Tenpou died in the beginning was... it's like his organ fell out!! :...( |

| I'm glad that they animate Saiyuki Gaiden. I love how the animation is true to the manga art style and they did an amazing job on it. I really like the ending. It's sad yet beautiful. Overall, 10/10 from me. |

| Tenpou went out like a boss. His innards falling out and everything. I can't give this such high scores like all of you guys because Goku isn't a character I can sympathize in at all. I'm just not fond of the kid but I have to admit that the ending was lovely. What a vast improvement to all the other Saiyuki installments. |
| i liked this 3 ovas!!! Finally just survived Goku and the other 3 friends died finally making a scape way, although the young Goku was arrested for 500 years in a rock prison!!! |

| That was a sad for the guys, especially when Konzen sacrificed himself on that dimensional doorway for Goku to escape. I can't believe Ten, Ken and Konzen died. On top of that, Goku's memories got erased, what a cruel tearjerking moment. It's obvious the blond dude at the end must be Konzen, but how did he survive though? This was an enjoyable piece, great animation, plot and characters. The music was alright. 8/10. |
