Finally back in Japan. Luke is going to Kaito again to steal "eternity" this time.

The head of the academy is missing. So he was Kaito's parents' friend.

The video on the devise is leading Kaito to where Kaito's parents are dead. And everyone's going, too.

Gusha's puzzle? The head is there, who is also POG! And the recording video of young Kaito by the parents, who were POG? They were chosen to use Kaito as equipment.

Kaito's "eternity" is about his "parents" and friends won't leave (but what Luke didn't realize that they really loved Kaito as their kids). The head is also trying to betray POG. He tried to join POG to get God's Puzzle to disappear from the world.

So the mysterious guy they met got trapped by POG and was head's friend.

So Kaito's answer is to solve and release the puzzle from being killing puzzle.

Puzzle idol's reappearance and more puzzle games again (Gammon vs Kaito) next ep.?

Darn I cant believe I didnt see that twist coming. I actually had tears coming from my eyes when the bday video played. Poor Rook, no matter what he does he cant just overcome the power of friendship and love. I hope he can see the light and be redeemed by his only friend in the end.

Oh that Birthday video got me. Even though they weren't his real parents, over time they started to love him as their own son and went on to disobey the POG.

This was a nice episode, and like everyone that B-Day video did get to me. I'm glad they actually came to love Kaito. As for Rook, I just feel sorry for him, but I hope he will change for the better.
I am a sucker for romance!!!!

Unfair! This was a pleasant little show that I didn't have to worry about getting emotional about--then you hit us with the B-Day video and I start to tear up. Nanoka tries her best to shield Kaito from the truth, but in the end the principal redeems himself by disobeying Rook and showing Kaito that video.
Please don't feed the trolls!

My guess: Mr.X is Count Pythagoras and Kaito's AND Rook's real father, they will beat him together, in the end. And then it's one big family reunion. Happy end.

And oh my gah, Mamoru Miyano said, that everything's according to keikaku there.

An ok episode.
Next week Gammon Vs. Kaito. I wish he would smack Kaito to death, but he'll probably lose.

Seems to me like this isn't so much about Kaito achieving Phi Brain, but Rook regaining the humanity he had lost so long ago. I'm still wondering why they want to make Kaito into nothing short of a puzzle god, though. What's in it for the POG if he succeeds? What do they really want?

I think Jin himself is actually Pythagoras. Seeing as how the principal compared his relationship with Jin to that of Kaito and Rook, this wouldn't at all surprise me.

Yeah, Jin being Pythagoras is highly likely.

Great episode. Best of the season, I'd say.

Why does Kaito have to go through all of this? I'm so worried about his mental health seriously they are abusing him way too much! I got all teary over the birthday video too.

Such an obvious prediction, won't surprise me too! It has to be Jin.

LOL, Count Pythagoras, what a wonderful name! Math nerds everywhere are weeping tears of joy. And yeah, he's probably Jin. It's a safe bet to always pick the plot twist that is the most shocking to the protagonist.

In hindsight, the plot twist should have been obvious, but I was genuinely shocked when it was revealed. And that birthday video... ouch. That was such a emotional moment for me. Kaito.. T_T

I loved that bit on the train, particularly when Kyuu-chan talks about being friends with Kaito and sticking with him everywhere❤ I think he's my favourite out of all of Kaito's friends.
